Jimin being a tidge jealous makes me laugh. Sweetheart, they both adore you. You have nothing to worry about. I love Taemin and how he showcases younger dancers. And heâs secure enough in his Taemin-ness to let them shine. Heâs sweet and a complete chaos gremlin at the same time and I love that about him.
So happy you watched! I was hoping you would get a chance to! It was so fun to see Jimin, Taeminâs ever so close friend appear! I was was also so happy to discover that nobody told you beforehand, so I got to see your surprised reaction! They are not only best friends, but many say just how similar in the way they move, amongst other similarities. âŁBTS Jimin & Taemin from the group SHINee, have been quite close friends since at least 2016, though all of SHINee noticed Jimin first at MAMA awards 2014, when watching him do that spectacular Taekwondo flip then ripping off his shirt while doing battle BTS vs BlockB. Then afterwards recalling that while watching Jimin again when he had yet another spectacular most memorable âPerfect Manâ performance! Jimin is even part of a quite close group of 6 other idols, started by Taemin, from other groups called the Padding Squad, which consists of other main dancers Taemin & Kai, but also Sungwoon, another of Jimin's closest friends. They even have matching jackets each with the emblem consisting of ea members hand print made into a circle, on a 'padding jacket. Jimin has always admired Taemin, who has been around for longer time. But Taemin has also always admired Jiminâs amazing quality & abilities as well, especially in dancing, especially since Taemin didnât come from a background growing up, like Jimin did, of not only dance, in so many different styles! Jimin, since age 10, studying & performing hip hop, winning every competition in street dancing. Then studying & performing contemporary & modern dance, but also taking ballet & traditional Korean dance classes as well! Jimin even has managed to incorporate his 8 yrs training in various forms of martial arts including Taekwondo (blackbelt), into his dancing. In 2016 Taemin & Jimin even performed together which they even referred to here, calling themselves the 2 Mins. đâ€âđ„đđ„
Actually it was Timoteo from HotShot who approached Taemin about starting the group, only called the Padding Squad after Taemin purchased identical jackets for everyone.
â@Irene-cb3wx And Taemin and Timoteo are super close and used to dance together (hiphop, street) alot when they were younger.
Wow, thanks for the information. My Army friends found that hip hop was difficult or awkward for Jimin because his training was in contemporary and Korean traditional dancing. They confirm he studied hip hop at BigHit. Meanwhile, Taemin started with a more street style (watching Michael Jackson and learning popping as a child), and was recruited as a trainee by SM at age 11, before studying contemporary and classical western dance. In any case, they both are talented dancers and to be admired.

Jimin's appearance was a pleasant surprise. I love that Taemin is so sweet and humble. And I think he felt comfortable on this program. Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. This was the best. Such good vibes. Jimin ult, Suga wrecker, OT7. And i am a new Taemin bias, only 10 months in. This was a dream come true. Loved hearing about the new song Guilty. Just heard it a few minutes before i saw the ep. This is my 3rd rewatch i think. Loved it of course. Seeing Jimin with the guys was such a gift. Hearing my thoughts echoes by Suga confirmed what I've been saying this past year. I wanted them to keep talking. Love Taemin. Adore Jimin & Suga. Next year maybe we get a special something from Taemin on the 10 yrs anniversary of his solo career. So exciting. Loved the dynamics. Jimin's surprise appearance was the best. 11:27 everytime yoongi mentioned this turning 20, turning 30 not being dramatic i feel like he imagined it'll be like how you would transform in the sims on your birthday you know. it's a cute idea but me being 35, you'll only feel the change few years after. the shift is subtle but it's profound.
