Enjoying your content. How is the supreme putt turf holding up? I'm looking to floor my sim without breaking the bank.
@@RnDmSkIlLz511 it’s holding up great, but where my feet are is showing wear.
Awesome!!
I just saw this message that you are drawing the winner March 1st, I was contacted 3 days ago through my CZcams notifications from your channel saying I had won and now they are scamming me 🤬
Great information. Thank you.
This is great! I am going to build my simulator in about a month and will definitely be doing this! I was going to buy the Gung-ho Holy Grail insert but I love that this one is replaceable and easily serviced.
This is the best DIY walkthrough I’ve seen to build an insert. Thanks for taking the time to document it for those of us always trying to tweak our setup!
Please not the person commenting is not us. The drawing is March 1st and will be live.
@@PixelGolf yea he’s trying to get peoples Zelle and cash app accounts and asking for $40 shipping! SCAM! thanks for removing his comments!
I have needed this! Building my simulator now after 5 years of planning, saving, and drooling!!
I build my entire sim based off of your videos thanks for the details and updates as you make improvements.
awesome design. certainly admire the thought, care and integrity you not only put into your craftsmanship, but your subscriber community as well. thanks
Great video. Just installing my 1st simulator & have really appreciated everyone’s video’s/guidance on how to maximize the space & make the most of the set up
Looks great. It’s so hard to find one pre made online that isn’t a fortune. Just finished with my simulator with a mevo plus after being inspired by your set up. Keep up the good work!
Currently building my 1st SIM so this would be a great addition to getting it completed! Thanks for the tutorial.
First time I see this idea around the you tube channel. Very impressed.
Thanks GolfRnd!! You going to inspire many sim golfers to save their elbows and joints while also saving some $$$ too! Appreciate the video!!!!
Great video, ended up glueing the foam part to my wood floor and using Velcro to attach it to the plexiglass. If you have extra plexiglass you can put a piece a couple inches behind your ball to make sure you aren’t chunking. Kind of like the eyeline golf speed trap.
Hey Man. Thanks a million on video and explanation. It’s guys like you that save us from shelling out hundreds of dollars. I have saved this video, as my sim construction starts in June. Grazie Mille.
I’ve made the mistake of shelling out lots of money for poor products which is how this channel was born so I’m glad it’s helpful! Feel free to drop any questions or comments while you start your journey - and enjoy!
Love the OCD/attention to details into your whole build. Can't wait to do mine!
This is awesome. Was looking for some videos on indoor golf simulators and came across your channel. Looking forward to watching more videos from you and continue to learn! :)
This is almost identical to the hitting strip I purchased, very good information and great build. Thank You !!
This is awesome. I ended buying a monster mat but wish I had built something like this instead, it’s just not soft enough. Thanks for the detailed video!
This is super, super impressive! Glad I found you all!
That is a great design! I'm in Mesa, AZ and I'm currently puting a chipping\putting green in my backyard with multiple hitting matts in various places and lengths around the yard and I'm going to put one of these in every hitting matt. Thank you for sharing!
One of the best options I've seen for a reusable hitting mat in a simulator 👍
Awesome video, just in the process of setting up indoor mevo+ sim, and the best hitting mat insert by far. Have looked at plenty that seem to either be hitting off a rock or hitting off a bedroom pillow, you’ve obviously researched the foam densities and come up with the perfect solution.. will be stealing your setup materials and looking forward to your next video. (Hopefully on putting mat solutions for mevo+ sims!) 👌
Amazing. Been suffering some wrist tendonitis and this would help tremendously. Thanks for the insight!!! Cheers
Great idea and process! Thanks so much for sharing! I’ll be looking for the various foam pieces.
Great work. I was also looking at the holy grail, but it seems extremely flimsy. This looks like a perfect compromise. Thanks for sharing!
Omg this would be so perfect for my home simulator! I have a really bad one thats been killing my wrist and elbow!
Keep ip the good work
Such easy to follow instructions. I think that even I can follow them. Recently got a matt but not satisfied. It will be great to have control over material.
This is much better than my mat on gym foam approach!
This is a penny pincher pleaser. My tool challenged toolbox welcomed this DIY project. Thanks for taking your time.
I like the idea of being able to reuse it with new turf. I had used carpet glue and that wasn’t an option. Thanks for the video!
This is exactly what my wife needs for our sim. Great job!
😂
Great design! Thanks for making a guide on this 👍
Nicely done! I’ve been getting some elbow pain and this looks like it would do the trick!
Great idea! My stuff just arrived for my simulator so perfect timing!
Great. Now I need to update my sim room!! Good stuff
Another great video that I plan to use with my simulator build I’m starting. Thanks for the info!
Great videos! The most helpful I’ve found as I’m researching for my own golf sim.
The person messaging is a scammer, we are working on having them removed now.
@@PixelGolf Thanks for the heads up. Peter Igogo is the name tied to scammer's Paypal account. He game me an email address as well if you have a way to report him to Google.
I’ve been wanting to figure out how to do this. Thanks!
Made one as per your Video..... I used a corner of my existing mat for the insert ...........came out perfect...... Thanks
Glad to hear!
looks great, very creative build! Really great for indoor simulation!
Where have you been all my life! Genius!
Deadly idea ! Love it. I’ve just starting to piece together my home sim. I will definitely try an make something similar 👍
Hope it turned out well and you’re enjoying it!
This is going to be great to insert into my CCE. Thanks!
Great video! For sure trying this before I spend a fortune on one of the big name hitting mats. Thanks!
Such a dope idea. Putting my sim together as we speak! This would be a great addition!
Thanks for sharing! I’m building my golf sim in AZ now so this is going to be very helpful.
Can you share where you buy your turf locally?
This is the local supplier I used: www.azturfmasters.com/
Great job. Very well done. Thanks for your detailed instructions
So cool, lot more simple then I thought it'd be.
Nice! Looking for something to improve my (new) simulator space; great content for new guys to chew on.
Awesome, very well done! Looking forward to more videos!
Great how to!! Some day this will be a savior to my elbow pain!
Awesome, looks great! I have been looking at doing one of these, this definitely helps!
Great job. Taking a lot of inspiration from your design
I like it. May have to give this a shot here pretty soon. Thank you!
Looks great! Thanks for the links!
Great video! Keep up the great work. Just purchased my Skytrak! Instructions were clear and easy to follow! Hopefully I can win so I use it for my simulator 😉! Cheers!
Looks awesome. Currently working on a sim room with a buddy. This would work great!
Great video, i’ve been trying to do the same thing. Great tutorial, keep up the good work!
Excellent video and very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing with us.
Awesome! I love it! If I don’t win yours, I’m going to make one for sure!
Great video!! Looking for ideas all the time for my hitting station in the garage.
Great videos man! They have been a lot of help in planing my sim build
Glad to hear, that was my main reason in doing this.
Building the home simulator this tutorial is gonna help so much👍👍
Well done, I keep modifying my simulator all the time and wanted to do something like this.
That’s good to hear! Give the mattress pad video I posted a try, it is a game changer. Update video coming soon.
@@PixelGolf Will do thanks.
Definitely will be making one for my set up!
Very cool! Not sure I have the time to do that right now, but I'll save this video for future use. Cheers!
Awesome!! I could really use this. I am in the process of making my simulator
Great content keep up the good work. been fowling the FB group and have enjoyed your insight.
This is awesome. Thanks for the detailed instructions. I have been wanting to make one for a long time. I’ll wait to see if I win before starting one myself . 😮😀🤞🏽
Wow looks great. Thanks for the video!
Great design. This idea would save a lot of wrists! I’d love to use it.
Nice, I’ve been wondering how to make one, I’m no DIYer so thanks for that!
Great video, I just built an indoor simulator and without something like this wedges are very difficult to hit
That's an awesome idea. 👌 Very clever. I'm starting to prep up building my simulator.
Make sure to watch my other video, lots of ideas and advice on building a sim!
Sure will.
This is a great video. Great detail!! Thank you
This is awesome! Nice work!
In the process of building my hitting mat. Thankyou for the great tips
Awesome, I've been waiting for this video to see how to make this. Hopefully I won't have to 🤞
Thank you for this video. Great engineering
Thanks for the step-by-step video.
Great job! Can't wait to have my sim
Great idea! I could definitely use one of these!
Awesome hitting mat idea, thanks for sharing.
Perfect have to follow this and try and make one for my installation 👍🏼
After a successful proof of concept, I put together my actual hitting strip today. Honestly found the 1" foam you linked a little stiff. Not bad, but I felt like there could be some more "give" to it. Fortunately was building mine into a 3/4" sheet of melamine. So I had to go with a different foam anyway.
This one came out awesome! Unlike any mat I've ever hit off of. And I've tried a bunch. Including the high dollar gel mats. I also set it up so that I can easily replace it. Drilled a few holes at each end of the polycarbonate. Then screwed it to the melamine with some truss screws and rubber washers. Will be super easy to replace when the turf wears out. It also simplifies the build and saves having to buy a gym mat (or similar) to go on the ends of the Lexan.
This DIY mat is definitely the way to go. Awesome to hit off of, and can't beat the price. Spent $45 on a 15' strip of turf, $10 on the foam strips, and $15 on the polycarbonate sheet. Everything else I already had on hand (melamine base, screws/hardware, and construction adhesive). I also made a stance mat with some of the turf. But still have enough left over materials to make 3 replacement strips!
Glad to hear! That why I like the DIY style inserts, you can tune to your liking!
Looks awesome. Waiting for new house build before I can build my simulator.
Looks phenomenal…would love to see a video of the board in use.
This looks great. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome diy. Looking for a practice Mat and came across this
Great video! Looks great finished product 5*
Wow love this idea for a custom job
Great description, I’ve been struggling with coming up with a suitable mat, tried using different materials under a the mat but nothing seems to work. Can’t wait to make this mat and try it out . Thanks for the video
Looks like an awesome design might build it for my setup
Awesome video! Would love to have one of these for my player development program.
Great idea...looking forward to more content
Great tutorial! Appreciate the content
Nice job, will definitely try this!
Nice work!! Would be perfect with my setup! 🔥🔥🔥
Was just thinking of doing this, thanks!
