oh thank you you are a life saver, also i like to add sometimes the "restart" option isnt highlighted so you have to go to "properties", then select "start up type", then on the drop down menu select "automatic" and press apply and ok and then it will start the process and then you can select the "Restart" option to fix it. it works for me

I’m getting this error from time to time and it’s driving me crazy. I’ve tried resetting the driver through windows services and restarting zbrush but it doesn’t work. Here’s my issue. Tablet pressure will work fine most of the time and then I’ll save the z tool I’m working on. Once I save I lose my pressure sensitivity. I noticed that the Tablet palette under preferences is grayed out now and I can’t do anything with my tablet. The tablet palette is always ‘on’ when you launch zbrush. Now every so often when I lose the pressure sensitivity I notice that the tablet palette is still on and I simply click on tablet off and back on and my pressure sensitivity returns. But if it’s greyed out to where I can’t turn it off and on the only solution is restarting the computer. It’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve tried unplugging my tablet, reinstalling my tablet. I assume this is some windows error but I can’t figure it out. Any idea what to do if the services technique doesn’t reset the tablet? Thanks
Yeah, it sounds like a Windows error. If you ahve Windows Ink turned on in your wacom driver settings, consider turning it off, it might help. If the servies restart trick doesn't restart the tablet, I'm afriad to the best of my knowledge you're then stuck with a system restart. But definitely try turning off Windows Ink, it used to cause strange problems for me before.
This hasn't happened to me yet, but this will come in handy to know if it does. Thanks Sean😁

Hi Sean thanks for the tip. I have latest ZB, but I have old intuos4 tablet. Its working fine, but like after a while like it loses something... preasure I think. I get color pallet popup appearing when I do a stroke or just sculp on the model. Do you have any thoughts? The only thing I can fix of is testing it on another PC with ZB. I don't think its my ZB install. Thanks. I'm on windows 10
Hey decorix, I'd check to see if you have the latest version of the driver for your tablet first, you never know, it might be something to do with that. The colour pallet pop up is usually if you just right click on a model, so perhaps you've assigned right click to a button on the tablet itself and are accidentally hitting it frrom time to time? Other than that, I think you're right, testing it on another system would be the way to go, if you have access to another system with ZBrush on it.

@@SeanForsythTutorials I used to have bat file to just one click restart wacom services. Check out this video czcams.com/video/JsGH-jsY-eM/video.html . He also made these shortcuts available for free on his gumroad. Really handy.

restarting the service doesn't always help, but reinstalling it does. i have a shortcut to the setup file on my desktop by now. weird bug.
Yeah, it's not a guaranteed fix but will hopefully he'll some people sometimes. Really wish it would stop happening.

This is a Wacom problem. I don't use ZBrush and i have the exact same problem. Have yet to find anything that fixes this.
And does doing what I suggest here not fix it for you?
@@SeanForsythTutorials That's not actually a fix, It's just restarting the program. When i do it's Only for a brief minute then the wacom tablet properties just stops responding, have tried uninstalling same problem. I am at the point where i just don't want to use it anymore.
@@SeanForsythTutorials I think i may have solved my problem, so far everything is working as it should, i change the resolution of my display to recommended and in the last few hrs nothing has stopped or crashed. Pen pressure works every time i load up Clip Studio.

Yes i can confirm that everything is back to normal. Not sure why but wacom has a problem with a certain resolution and reverting back to the windows recommend setting fixed all the trouble i had with drivers not working or working randomly.

I can't find Wacom on my services i just don't know what to do anymore.
Then it sounds like you might not have the drivers installed. They won't appear there if you don't install them first. Alternatively, if you have a tablet other than Wacom, they might be called something else, depending on the drivers.

Yeah, that'll do it too. But hey, if you plug it back in and still have this problem, this trick often helps.
