Really helpful, since my astigmatism has gone up a little and I'm considering contacts, even though I have glasses. Thanks for the information and easier for me to consider about with my eye doctor! 👍👏😀

I just recently started wearing contacts for the first time. I have a severe, SEVERE astigmatism in both eyes.. I was told years ago that they don’t make contacts for people with astigmatism and so I’d never be able to have them. I’m super stoked about them! I was hard to fit though. They had to order a special brand that my eye doctor’s office doesn’t even carry because none of the other brands they carried made them strong enough in vision strength or in base curvature.. They finally did! So happy! Mine lasts three months, each pair.

Brittany Price you’re right! There are no color contacts for astigmatism as of right now. However, it’s rumored that Alcon, the maker of air optix colors, is looking into creating air optix colors for astigmatism. This would be the first colored contact lens for astigmatism!

I'm sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, this is the case for many people who wear specialty contact lenses (including those that correct for astigmatism). The best way to go about this is to provide this direct feedback to your eye doctor and see if they can modify your prescription accordingly!

hello and kind regards, with +1.75 diopter on both eyes and -3.0 power of astigmatism (according to an another doctor - 2.50) do I have to wear RGP lenses or I can wear toric contact lenses instead? i would like to wear toric ones since they're softer and also i would not quit my glasses. Hey! I have a stigma in my right eye but wear toric daily contacts in both. (Recommended from my eye doctor) I noticed when I take my contacts out at night and go to read or look at my phone I can’t see up close. I only have farsighted vision, not close up. My eyes have been dry as well and I tried using lubricant eye drops. why is my up close vision terrible when I take my contacts facts out, especially when the contacts are far cited, not nearsighted? Also, when I wear my prescription glasses I see perfectly far and nearsightedness. They are not bifocals , just for farsighted.
