Very funny..supersonic with that wing and body design. The B-52 bomber and A-10 will be around for a long time.
When this craft was first introduced it was called the a-10 tank killer.
A Buddy of mine is in the Air Force and they call the wart hog a flying tank now I know why.

Supersonic? Needlessly complicates the structure of the plane, and compromises it's range, staying power, and mission.

I am a warthog fan, but the F 35-B can hover move backwards forwards stay behind tree cover move around and deliver its weapons. The warthog can take hits were the F-35 can’t .
The F-35 has special reflectors so that it WILL show up on radar.

Right, you would have to sweep the wings and I’m pretty sure big engines like they have now, not to mention that the mechanical moving parts would have to be overhauled. I don’t know much I just worked on A-7Es in the Navy, but I do understand some aeronautics. The F-35 can’t hold a candle to the A-10 though.

A-10--->>> needs 360 degree LASER turret.. with a weapons officer to control it..
the Pilot has his hands full with the other armament... main gun.... and regular tactics..
making Puff the Magic Dragon too loud, heavy and radar prone..
A-10 is cheaper to maintain and if needed, build more which is inexpensive compared to the F-35!
