You rock dude, I had a blast working with you! 🙌🏻
Its been awesome man! :)
How lots of things i Have learned from these guys :)
Love your vids mate, upgraded from p3a to the air this year and absolutely loving it, learning so much!
I follow you and Mike since a while and like your enthusiasm and emphasis teaching the tips. I also love both of you footages and I am trying to improve mine Proper Job!
Newbie to the Drone scene, just got myself a Mavic Air and am loving your videos, very informative and puts me at ease with knowing tricks of how to do and what not. Ignore the haters about the flailing hands, to a deaf person the use of hands are a way of communication, it shows the emotions, creativity and excitement you are feeling in getting out these videos, at least you’re not boring to watch, 😂Keep up the great work Dude!
Glad to see you guys teamed up you both have amazing videos and great advice... 👍👍
Hi Francis - I really love all your Mavic Air tutorials. I just bought a Mavic Air a few weeks ago and they've really helped me! I have a question though - I just shot some footage this morning - some in 1080 120fps for slow mo and some in 2.7K 24fps. The 24fps footage looks great, but the 1080 is really grainy and has an almost TV static look to it. Have you seen this before? Just wondering if maybe I have a setting wrong? (I had the shutter at 240). I'd love to get that slo mo footage crisper! Thanks!
I just got mine! Your tips are really helpful for my 2 weeks Iceland trip this month..Thanks!
Great job! I have a Dji spark aswell, and mine easily overheats and fails to rise to a high altitude and often fails in hot summer heat. Was just wondering if this is normal or I should get a replacement? Thanks, love your work
I only watched about 1 minute of this, his hand movements were driving me nuts.
Loved your tips Francis!! Thanks for sharing!!! I discovered your channel through Drone Supremacy and I am really glad!!!! I just got my new mavic air and I am learning how to create cinematic look footages. Yours are amazing!!!!
Great video Francis, I just was looking at Mikes channel and made a comment about you both... Then checked out your channel and pow there was Mike.... Great work guys, we get the BEST of both worlds.. Cheers
Awesome collab guys! Looking forward to more videos from you both!
Nice work guys....short and sweet and appropriate!
Would of been good if you would have showed us how t do these changes
This video was dang amazing! Thank you for the tip. Just got my Mavic Air and this is my first drone.
Have fun, they are so cool!
tips are spot on, I've learnt a lot from you both and taking that knowledge with me to enjoy Scotlands North Coast 500 next week ...it caught my eye at 3:06 ...is that distortion with the lens at the top the screen as the wave breaks ?
Francis, do you eher had a flyaway or like that?
Now I have a mavic Air but sometimes I'm a little bit scared oft flyaways....
Great video. Thanks! Do you think there is a need for ND filters?
Thanks mate awesome vid, learning plenty... just don't have enough time to put it all to get out often enough to put it all together
Thanks Brett :)
Thanks great advice - just changing from an ANNAFI to DJI MAVIC AIR like the tips
Hi. I’m a beginner to drones video. I would like to ask. How do you color grading the footage from the drones? Thank you
JUST WHAT I NEED FOR A TRULY COMPLETE SUNDAY. A FRANCIS VID
Thanks dude! you legend!
Hi. At 2-36 and 6-02 time you have the so desaturated sky (monochrome). I have to Mavic Air and I have the same problem ..... do you know how to fix it?
I wanna ask you a Q re Histogram. Can I use that when I use ND filters too? First I put on a ND filter, then I look at the histogram and reduce to perfect "mountain". Is that OK ??
very awesome, hopefully one day I can play a drone like you
These tips are gold!
What program do you use to make those changes?? I'm highly interested in buying one and would like to try it out.
So i am just starting out, i know how to fly and take pictures. but what is D-CINELIKE and how do i use it
Can you pls give some rips on color grading part? Did you used any LUTs to color grade the footage?
Your tips are really helpful for me THX !!!
Francis, just got my Mavic Air 2 days ago. Am up and running but I feel the video is not that crisp. I shot just below 4K and 30 fps. On say, a sunny day and shooting around a golf course. what settings would you use? And what about editing and then saving. What are the good numbers to use? Thanks, gave your video a "thumbs up" and a sub.
What a cool fella. Great instruction, modest and a nice presentation. Thank you.
Keith Povall thank you very much :) 🙏
you are highly gifted, thanks' for sharing.
Amazing video, Francis, thanks from Mexico!
Thank you :)
Great to see you both collaborating
Thank you!
I've just uploaded some raw footage to my channel but in some parts the left side of the screen has black lines/artefacts. Anyone have any ideas what cause this kind of thing? I'm using D-Cinelike
I really like this video, super helpful! I want to get better at videography, especially travel and would love any tips on my video!
Hi Francis, a quick advise on how not to get hazzy & blotched videos on mavic air
I am new to your site, thank you for the excellent work!!!
Great video! But how do you play with different frame rates IF you want to shoot everything in 4K? I found the difference in picture quality is big in the Air, between Full HD and 4K. Thank you and keep up with the good work!
Can you Please demonstrate these tips on how to use them on a typical day step by step.
Love when you shot tegalalang ubud view
Love your vids!! Proper job!
YEW!!!!!
Great video! Thank You!
Great tips mate! Just got the Air, and i'd appreciate if you could help me with the white balance. You mentioned that is very imprtant to set it properly. Right... But how? :D Could you make or recommend a tutorial?
Keep your bloody hands still
Yup, incredibly distracting. Trying too hard.
Good video! No unnecessary stuff it helped :)
Awesome video! Subscribed!
Francis dude your content is good ….. just calm down and sit on those hands,
Tip 1. 99% of the time you say 'them' you should be using the word 'those'.
Hahah, Them hands just won't stay still...
It's the Cornish in me.
@@FrancisDarracott 'These hands' or in the third person 'those hands'!
@@3vimages471 I think there was intended irony in Francis's reply...
@@auscurrymaster I hope you're right …. for his sake.
What transition you used on 3.41?
What is the song in the beginning of the video?
Nice vid Francis, Thanks
hey francis I m from london where do you live in uk?
Cool video dude...ilike it very...looking forward....from philippines...
Great. Thank you very much for your tips.
Thanks so much man
Does the tip of D-cinelike applies to mavic pro also?
Thanks for sharing, recommend using filters like CPL?
Most important are ND filters, especially if you follow the 180 rule for frame rate and shutter speed (30fps = 1/60, 24fps = 1/48).
What video editing software are you using?
Great video my friend, very informative and I like your style. Subscribed.
Super tips
Just a question, how do you manage the customers checkpoint when you travel with your mavic air?
vico 01 I just leave mine in my carry-on.
I'm liking them videos
Amazing video full of wonderful.
can you record 4k 24fps?
Amazing video and collaboration ;)
Nice work!
Great tips bro. I got one for you. Make your audio the same when mixing. Annoying as F that your audio is low, music is loud.
Thanks again for the tips
Shutterspeed 2000? Nononono.
Great vid and true tips but first thing to do is buying nd filters to get 180 deg shutter.
On 1:50 you record in 1080p/50 with shutter 2000. I always try to set shutter two times my fps rate - here maximum shutter 100! So you dont have any natural motion blur in that scene or do you have any trick?
Neutral density filters
Great video found you from drone supremacy
That's my tip for you. When you making video put music volume down to -6dB, because when you speak your voice is not compressed and not sounds loud, but music is heavily compressed so it sounds a lot louder than speech. Cheers!
Cheers mate.
Hi Francis! great video! are you back in England yet?? 😁
To enforce the ISO point, the Air really has to be kept at it's lowest ISO (100) unless you want to start messing in post with noise reduction.
Nice work. I need to get out and about with my drone more often. Sometimes I think I worry too much about over using it but then I end up not using it at all :(
Beating The Broom Wagon Did you pick up insurance for it?
Kaine McAlister I haven’t yet no.
Thanks, Regards .
Thanks dude!
Hey man love your tips I’ve been flying a phantom for a year now and just purchased a mavic air I put my videos on my channel and do it more for my pleasure but if you are bored I would love it if you viewed a few and gave a little bit of criticism I know they don’t even compare to yours but that’s the goal! And I should do better stuff with D-cinelike
Your logo suggests NCIS FRAnce or NCIS FRAnkfurt
Proper job! 😊
Coming this fall the new hit series NCIS: France
2:10 the shutter speed should be determined by your frame rate for the most cinematic look, and a more realistic motion blur. It should be double the frame rate so30 fps = 1/60th of a second, 120fps = 1/240th of a second, and so on... the only exception is if it's too bright and the lowest iso is still too high
But his shots still look good right? I feel like I've been using the 180 degree rule with ND filters and all my shots look like shit. Might give it a go
Awesome 💥💥💥💥
what this song?
Another great video and great to see you teaming up with Drone Supremacy. This is a Spark question but related to fps. I know with the Spark you have a max of 30 fps but is there a way to get decent slow motion shots with it? You can slow to 24 without to much of an issue but any less and it starts to get choppy!
T2BusCrazy You using Premiere Pro?
HI Kaine, yes, Premiere Pro
T2BusCrazy Try changing the settings in speed, one of the options generates frames for smoother slow motion.
Cheers, I have used it to reduce the speed but not played with the different options. Will have a closer look, thanks.
T2BusCrazy Anytime
Do have any tips for the dji spark ?
Yeah! Have a look at my channel. I have filmed hundreds
Francis Darracott I will watch your videos. Also check out some of mine.
I make spark videos
Good
Which Soundtrack did you use at 3:33?
Geetesh Tari don’t turn off the lights - niklas
Im looking for an honest opinion between the air and pro. Thnx
What did you decide?
Frank, the Mavic 2 is out as of today I think... It's been a month since you've last posted... waiting on your next video....
What video editing software do you use?
Adobe premiere pro for the editing
what is the music bro lovely```
You can find the link in the bio!
Actually, for "cinematic" footage you want your shutter speed to be 2x your frame rate ... so for 24fps you'd want 1/48 and for 30fps you'd want 1/60. Then use ND filters to knock the light back if you need to. This way you'll get smooth motion and blur without the stuttery look of digital cameras.
I prefer the smoothness of 60fps over other frame rates.
Why do you call 25fps high speed look?! I don’t understand what you mean by that?
Real World Endo Motion blur
@@krisdeagle1455 Motion Blur? I think someone here is not distinguishing between shutter speed and frame rate. That still makes not sense to me that 25p should be called high speed look! Now I think he meant high setter speed, not frame rate.
Is it a cutting mistake or subliminal marketing that there’s an Adidas logo at around 3:10? 😉 - Bit seriously...great videos...love your channel!
mistake.. however, if Adidas want to pay me...
im not saying no
@2:36, after talking about the importance of not clipping "them whites and them blacks" you immediately show a shot where of a lake where the highlights are blown and the shadows are completely gone. The "perfect image". Please explain.
I stopped watching at this point. Forgetting that his hand movements and speech are irritating, you don't talk about the importance of particular settings and then immediately show a clip which contradicts what you've just said.
@@AnalBeard You are too uptight. I got his point fine.
Mavic air is ❤.
My air sucked, I sold it, wifi was atrocious
Good video ^_^
"them"
Filming in 30fps and conforming to 25fps is a neat trick - slow mo but your not aware of it.
