I recommend twisting the wire ends to prevent fraying as shown in 4:25, not only does it reduce the risk of shorting out your connector but makes it feel like you're soldering a solid piece of wire instead of a wire brush to the terminal.

he not changing the controller.. he just changing the connectors. The regular ones burn really fast and you can destroy ur controller. Thats why its recommanded to change the connectors on ninebot scooters.
Insurance on your connectors, so that you don't have to risk them melting, touching and than buying a new controller. A $10 upgrade can save you hundred down the road :)

Rosin core, electronics compatible flux. Don't use plumbing solder, or flux.
Lead/tin 60/40 rosin core.

You can do whatever as long as it matches the other side.
Will they work extra top speed range with controller or batteries upgrades ?
Yes sir, they work for all upgrades even stock only. This is a common failure point on ninebots

The connectors can, the stock ones are a common failure point even on oek systems.
