Can the charging pad be installed in a garage?
This is a great idea. Even better, it tells you so you can open the garage door, let it in, and then close the door after it’s inside. Awesome idea.
Good! I have a gravel driveway as well. Just have to raise the plow so it leaves an inch or so underneath, let it freeze and you good for the year! Great questions, now I'm excited to get my Yarbo!~
Will Yarbo operate below -20 F degrees?
You need to increase chute degrees of rotation and angle of discharge.
I have fruit bushes planted in rows over several areas. I'm thinking of buying a yarbo to mow between the rows. How can I make the mowing map and exclude the rows of shrubs (about 3 feet wide each?)?
Good to do the Q and A.
Will the remote survive cold weather? The remote that came with Snowbot S1beta was not able to handle cold weather.
Hi Kenneth. When you say you can save a map up to 12 miles away. That means it can operate autonomously on those maps?
Correct!
@@yarboglobal Thanks.
One question, can you save multiple map layouts? For example if I use it at multiple locations? Edited, it was addressed in the video :)
Any chance Yarbo is considering a referral program? I imagine as soon as my neighbors see this in action, they’ll want one. Thanks.
I appreciate your suggestion. We just finished a similar event on our crowdfunding campaign last month.. We will post an announcement on our official media if there are any updates.
You mentioned that it is better for Yarbo to go out to clear snow frequently. Is there a possibility to start the snow blowing automatically rather than manually. If yes, what are the triggers (snow sensor, local weather report, other?)
Yarbo is an IoT device and has full access to your local weather forecast service, so it knows when the snow starts and ends. And you can set a routine schedule for Yarbo in different pattern, such as work at a certain period every day, or every other day, or just specific days.
Do you have anything in the plans for an attachment that will take trash cans to and from the road? We have a 450' driveway, so that would be a nice feature down the road.
We are committed to creating an all-in-one robot. Except for standard modules, we are still working on the modules, including but not limited to sweeper module, snow plow module, robot arm module, sprinkle module, and the module for picking up trash is on our schedule, we will notify you once the product is ready for release.
Ok that’s some kind of awesome!!!!
My property is 4.5 acres with about 2 acres of grass. It takes me 3.5 hours to cut with a 54" zero turn. There are multiple locations and not all areas have wifi but it does have cell coverage. Would one Yarbo do the property or would I need more? Can multiple yarbo be set up for one location?
Hi. Apron cleaning. Can Yarbo 1). Handle the heavy, wet ice and snow pushed by plows? 2) any opportunity to add an “apron cycle” where Yarbo can go out and focus on the driveway apron only and 3) long shot here. Any chance Yarbo can detect and avoid snow being actively pushed onto the apron by the city plows, as the force can be a lot sometimes and may/ may not damage Yarbo. Thanks much.
Firstly, driveway apron or end of driveway issue has stayed on top of our challenges to develop a fully functional snow blower robot since 2017. We are proud to announce the four features we have deployed to finish such hard jobs:
1. Powerful two-stage structure which has an auger to collect the snow and an impeller to shoot the snow out of the chute
2. Mighty traction provided by both rubber tracks and high torque motor, which can even drag a sedan (just stay tuned for our teaser!)
3. Unique power articulating front auger which can be raised to tackle more snow beyond 12 inches intake capability.
4. Intelligent strategy that either Yarbo climbs up the snow pile then clear the snow from the top down layer by layer when the pile is over 24 inches, or Yarbo takes a flank attack by moving alongside the snow pile instead of crushing the snow pile head-on when the pile is less than 24 inches.
With the four features combined, the heavy and wet snow and ice at the end of the driveway should not be a problem at all!
Secondly, you can set a zone around your apron and set Yarbo to work in this zone alone then Yarbo will only focus the snow in your apron.
Thirdly, currently Yarbo use millimeter-wave radar to avoid obstacles and such sensor can also detect thick snow thrown by city plows.
@@yarboglobal thank you for the very detailed response. This helps. Can’t wait!!
i do multiple people driveways in my neighborhood.(the elderly). Will the Yarbo allow me to keep doing so with this machine?
What do te tracks do to lawn grass when it turns?
Hi there, great question! Yarbo is designed with tracks that minimize damage to lawn grass, even when turning. We uses a Three-Point Turn technology to minimize damage to your lawn grass when it turns. By advancing to a certain position and then reversing and turning, Yarbo can change direction smoothly, reducing the impact on the ground or grass. This is especially helpful when sharp turns need to be avoided or when working on delicate ground.
For the S1. Can it detect wind direction so as to not throw the snow against the wind, which may end up back on the driveway anyway? Thanks.
when a heavy snowstorm comes, the accuracy of snow blowing might not be that precise but keeps within an acceptable range. And Yarbo has full access to your local weather forecast service and we are working on auto-adjust the throwing direction to fit the wind direction.
You asked my question!
How hot can the day get without the barrery getting impacted? For summer use (obviously not snow) does it have some sort of battery cooling system?
Yarbo is capable of operating within a temperature range of -13 degrees Fahrenheit to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, while its battery cells can function between -13 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Although there is no dedicated battery cooling system, our engineering team has effectively designed the system to manage heat during summer usage. This ensures optimal performance of the product, even in higher temperatures. If you have any further inquiries or require additional details, please feel free to ask.
How much is it
The Yarbo battery ran out, how do I manually recharge the battery to get it back to the docking station?
Yarbo is designed with a feature that safeguards against battery depletion. It allows you to set a minimum battery percentage, ensuring that Yarbo autonomously returns to its charging station before running out of power completely. In the event that your Yarbo's battery does drain entirely, we suggest using the provided wired charger to power it back on and guide it to recharge. For additional assistance or inquiries, our customer service team is ready to help - please submit a support ticket at support.yarbo.com.
How does it know when it snows and when to start working?
Hi there! Currently, Yarbo does not offer snow detection functionality; however, it does provide a Schedule feature enabling users to set up daily maintenance tasks. For instance, users can schedule Yarbo to clear snow from their driveway before they leave in the morning and attend to yard maintenance during the day. During the summer months, Yarbo is equipped with temperature and rain detection features, allowing it to avoid operating on wet lawns or in unfavorable weather conditions. Please do not hesitate to contact us at support@yarbo.com if you have any more concerns.
Can the Yabo support multiple charging stations?
Currently, Yarbo can only support one docking station each as the coverage for a single Yarbo is large enough. What you are mentioning is more likely to be used in commercial fields, and that's the part we will develop later.
You mentioned that Yarbo needs wifi or cell service. I live in an area where 4G isn't the greatest (1-2 bars on your cell phone). Will that be sufficient? Does the cell service need to be constant? I'm not sure what the cell service is for with Yarbo.
Is the antenna( that gets ideally mounted on the roof) line of sight to yarbo? I'm wondering if I would need a few antennas to get all mowing and snow-blowing done.
Does snow accumulation on the antenna (that would be mounted on the roof) affect yarbo?
Cell service or WiFi does need to be constant. Yarbo's connection uses very slow speed data, so 1 or 2 bars would be okay as long as the connection isn't lost.
If you you find this to be an issue you can always blanket your property with Wi-Fi as an alternative.
Yarbo does not require any line of sight from the base station itself to the Yarbo.
The pay station needs a line of sight to the open sky to get satellite fixes.
I hope this helps answer your questions, if not please let us know...
As a follow-up question to this........I have a yard that is 2 acres (easily). How does a customer "Blanket" their property to cover it all (If that is what may be required?). I use Verizon and my bars are 3-4 bars, but wanted to ask, just to know for sure. That and which cell phone companies is YARBO working with? I ask, because I really do not want to start with ATT or another cell company, just to run any auto mower. @@yarboglobal
Absolutely, there's no need to complicate things by switching cell providers. Yarbo seamlessly integrates with existing networks like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Plus, many of our satisfied customers easily expand their WiFi reach using mesh systems, ensuring Yarbo operates flawlessly throughout their space.@@djobitwan7
How long does it take to completely recharge on the docking station? Does it sense when battery is low and automatically goes to station? Thx
Hi dear, we will answer your questions one by one.
Firstly, Yarbo lawn mower M1 can run for 120 minutes to cut 1200㎡ on a full charge, and it takes around 2 hours to fully recharge.
Secondly, when the battery is low, it will automatically go to the docking station.
Can I see you use it with the controller
Your website is telling me it isn't recommended for gravel roads. I don't know who to believe.
We genuinely appreciate your diligence in seeking accurate information, and we completely understand your concerns regarding Yarbo's usage on gravel surfaces. For safety reasons, we don't recommend operating Yarbo on gravel roads. However, we recognize that some users may need to use Yarbo on gravel. In such cases, we have some friendly suggestions to ensure safe usage:
1. You can create an ice surface on top of the gravel to fully cover the stones. This will prevent the auger from throwing stones. Just keep in mind that the scraper bar may grind off the ice surface, so check it regularly.
2. In the future, you'll have the option to adjust the default height of the snow blower module through the app. This will be made possible with adjustable skid shoes and a linear actuator, allowing you to raise the auger enough to avoid catching loose stones. Additionally, we've implemented breakable shear pins to provide protection for the machine and its surroundings.
Your safety is of utmost importance to us, and we're committed to continuously improving our product. For the most recent and accurate information, please keep an eye on our website. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help ensure your experience with Yarbo is as safe and enjoyable as possible! :)
