I honestly love the first gen Audi TT and underrated it for most of my life to be honest... But as I'm 17 at the time of making this video, I sure hope that I can get one as my 2nd or 3rd car in the next few years. And I mean it like having 2 or 3 at the same time to persue an indiviual perpuse for each one! That might be a little enthusiastic but we'll see how life goes.

You didn't explain Haldex properly, but dont worry nobody does, its not 50/50 max its 95/5 when you have traction and can go as high as 0/100 to the rear if you have no front traction, its just a wet clutch system that connects drive to the rear, torque distribution is determined by traction, but note the front has ESD to give traction back to the front wheels so it's always trying to be FWD and it successfully does so most of the time.
Holy shit bro! You defineteley know more about that System than I do haha
I knew it's a wet clutch but honestly don't really even get how that works 🤡
I understood the change based of traction but not that it was able to get everything to the rear...
So thanks a lot! You teached me quite a bit that I had no Real knowledge about 🤝
I'm sure others seing this Comment will appreciate it too!
You can get kits to make it 50/50 atleast
@@tobywynn9616 Sounds pretty cool! Getting some more control over that system would be interesting. Though it's doing its job rather well to be fair...
So thanks for the info mate 👍
Always loved these since I was a kid. Bought a 225 few years back and just got my engine back from a full build, now going big turbo, can’t wait to rip it around. They’re such a beautiful car with amazing potential!
So you are building a control able Death Maschine? 👀 As long as you trust in your driving skills, that's gonna be amazing!
I love those crazy Mod builds on TTs becauese they are soo underrated and incredibly fast!
So bro, I am really glad you are taking on Such a cool project and get your TT the love and appreciation it deserves. 🤝
I've had mine for over 5 years now. Subtly modded with uprated lights, brakes, bigger wheels, always conti prem6s, mapped etc. its on 180k miles now and still pulling very strongly!
That's awsome dude! Giving your TT the life it deserves🙏
Sounds you you have a super clean and nice car that must be a whole lot of fun haha
I really hope you keep yours for many more years and keep enjoying it!
So Do you drive a manual or automatic? 🤔
I have had my first 225 coupe just over a month now. Its all black full black leather interior pre-facelift with a BAM engine. Absolutely love it!
Thats sounds like a lot of fun! All black complementing the performance 🙏
I'm happy you like it and hope you will keep and love it for years to come!
@@MrPista yes it is, I love driving it and thats the plan to keep it running and looking great!
@@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse I love that! How much did you pay for it? And is it a manual or auto?
I paid £2000 with 83k on the clock and cambelt and water pump done in the last 12mths it also had 11mths MOT (that’s an annual roadworthiness check we have in UK) and its a 6 speed manual!
@@MrPistaI had to have an outer passenger (Left hand side) CV boot replaced when I first got it so I had the inner one on the same side done at the same time that cost me £170 in total at an independent VAG mechanics. The other faults Im aware of are wing mirror switch needs replacing, pixelated dash amd the audi Concert stereo has a volume issue. Other than that the mechanic who did the cv boots said it was in great shape all round. So am very pleased. Its a hell of a lot of car for little money! Love the cockpit! Love I cant take passengers in the rear also! 😄
the mk1 going to be future classic 100%
Oh for sure! They are just incredible cars and are only gonna be more desired, because they are fun and look great📈
Excellent video really good great information and stunning looking MK1 TT cars ❤ my denim blue 1998 225 AWD Quattro APX 20v 6speed T4 turbo is a fun time i think for the money its a very nice motor 👍💎💯
Thank you so much! I love to hear people appreciating These videos🙏
That Sounds Like an amazing spec you have there haha
Oh I'm sure it's a lot of fun to drive! I really hope you keep owning enjoying that car for a long time bro🤝
I love these cars.. I’ve just bought a 225 bhp roadster only done 70k… I have had a coupe 225 before and prefer the look of them… but this one was too good to let go… can’t wait to be driving it in the summer months of 2024 🚘
That sounds great! I also prefer the coupes of course but the roadsters still are great and probably more fun in the summer, so you're gonna have a great time for sure!
It's pretty cool that you also owned a coupé so you can genuenly compare them, u like most other people...
So how much was your new roadsters? 🤔
@@MrPista my Roadster has only 2 owners from new, 70,000 mile with full service history and I won it on eBay for £1350!! A real bargain as ones similar are selling between £3k-£6k and they are going up in value.
Mine does need a bit of cosmetic work but apart from that it is a rare beauty.. completely stock so no aftermarket works been done on it and it also has the Audi upgraded fat five competition wheels on it which I can’t wait to get polished up.
I was looking at hundreds of mk1 TTs before I found this little gem. Great video by the way.. I love watching anything regarding the mk1 TTs
@@ianjames5150 holy shit, that's an amazing deal! You got really lucky there haha
I really hope you will enjoy it for a long time, as all that time searching was worth it.
I also really enjoyed making this video becauese it made me realize how good they actually are!
@@MrPista yes… awesome video and very informative.. you hit all of the key main points in my opinion…
And yes I’ll be keeping her for many many years :)
@@ianjames5150 thanks a lot again for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
I'm sure you won't regret keeping it! Just an amazing car🙏
YES! Fantastic older gen sports cars that are currently massively under valued in my humble opinion 😊👍🏼
Absoluteley agree with you! Most people Look at a Mazda Miata but rather few at a TT and I don't even understand why haha
@@MrPista Miatas are great cars there's no doubt about that, but I do agree with you, why is the TT so often overlooked? I don't own one and never have but waaaaay back in the day when they were new a friend of mine did and I've loved them ever since. One day 🤞🏼
@@Number1HeadlightRestoration Yeah, they are great cars of course but a bit overhyped I think... A reason for the TT being overlooked might be the unique styling or sth, Some people don't like it but apart from that I have no idea!
I'd also really Like to get one as my 3rd car haha
What I mean by that is when or if i have an Audi A5 and a BMW E39 5 series, I'm open to getting one haha
Great vid thanks - Just put my 3.2 8n up for sale - time for someone else to enjoy these underrated models 👀👍👌
Thank you very much my guy! I really apreciate the Feedback!
You're actually the first one commenting about having a 3.2 😂
I'm sure someone will be very happy that you sell it...
So Do you think about getting something else to replace it? 🤔
i just bought a total black 225 bam quattro!! i loved it more than i could imagine!!!! 😈😈😈😈
That sounds awsome bro! A little fun mobile and they look dope in black🔥
I'm really glad that you enjoy yours and get it the love it deserves 🙏
Still loving my 2003 Quattro… no major problems ( had to get the info display repaired )… it is a keeper.
It's awsome to hear that you enjoy your TT and want to keep it for a long time! They are truely special and fun cars🙏
That display is a common issue but it's really not too bad
I love my 3.2. It reminds me of the Porsche 356 but affordable and way more practical. The AWD is nice when it snows too.
That's a very interesting comparison! I mean there still are very different, but I get your point🤔
The 3.2 TTs are awsome I think! And you're right for sure, they are way better daily drivers haha
The funny think is that I've never been in a TT before, but in a 356 Speedster kitcar that my grandpa built and still owns...
fantastic car
That's a perfect summary of a TT 😂
I love my 3.2 , fun little car
That's awsome bro! Gongrats to owning such a cool car and I'm really glad you give it the love it deserves 🙏
I hope you'll enjoy it for years to come
Thx for your video. You make a me one sound so nice if I did not already have a mk 3 that is. Lol
You're more than welcome my guy! I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙏
Well, that's interesting... Rarely hear anything about the mk3 TTs 🤔 But they most likely are the "better car" anyways... Though the mk1 can get you more of a shitbox deathtrap feeling when you really send it, which can be amazing
Hey, I have nothing but love for all the my one TT lovers/users/drivers for if it was not for your interest and enthusiasm Audi would never have made the mk2 or definitely not the mk3! 💜😜
@@cozmikw 😂 Might be the case
But the weird Thing is that I actually know barely anything about the mk3 I think🤔 Don't know how they drive, Power specs etc becauese I never actually looked deeper into them... Only ever really looked into the mk1 (becauese it's the only one I could afford lol)
Liked n sub’d!
Thank you so much bro! It really means a lot to me🙏
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!
It’s been the best car I’ve ever owned. I would advise looking for a 2004 to 2006 with the 3.2 L engine and the DSG transmission, Because that transmission will not allow the driver to go over redline nor lug the engine and so is less likely to have significant wear or damage from previous driver’s racing the things. The extra low end torque and 50 more hp helps with the weight and gives me around 30 mpg and a much nicer exhaust note.
The Level of abuse these cars get sometimes really is a great reason to get the 3.2! So you made a good point here that I never actually thought about 🤝
Thanks!
The VR6 seriously is a very interesting engine, so that might also make the cars hold their value better🤷♂️
So I'm glad you love your car so much and sincerily hope that you will keep it for quite some time to come🙏
Yes definitely yes. 😊
Very clear and sensible conclusion hahah
And I agree😂
i love my mk1 even tho im not able to drive it rn
That's awsome to hear man! But why can't you drive it now?
Sth broken? Modding it?
@@MrPista medical issues that are preventing me
@acidburns426 oh... I'm really sorry for you bro... What happened?
That sucks I know. I have retinitis pigmentosa and my driving days have been over for almost 20 years. Hoping my eyes get fixed before I get too old and can enjoy driving again.
@@ericbitzer5247 oh man... I'm genuenly really sorry for you...
20 years are really tough so you have all of my respect 🙏
I sure hope there will be a way to improve your eyesight again! Best of wishes to you mate🙏
*Audi TT ALMS Mk1 owner with + ~$25k of high end mods:* Don't buy one unless you have a very close proximity to slot canyons, hair pin turns, + 5% grade's, mountains.
Having one in Phoenix was very, very, very lack luster....unless you went for a drive OUTSIDE the cities limits in the canyons and gourges. 75% of all states have none of this, and it becomes worthless having one of these in Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Carolinas. Only get one if say in the Washington Mt's, Utah, Arizona.
Well you're making a fair point there of course, but that goes for pretty much any sportscar yk... Driving in traffic is always underwhelming, if you're not racing every green light.
No matter if in a TT, Miata, M2 or anything else.
And half the point of owning sth like a TT is that you can do all these boring drives perfectly, but can always enjoy it driving outside of Citys or on some beautiful roads 🤷♂️
Have 2 8N 3.2 VR6 and they are stout little road hogs. Great for a daily.
Damn! Not a lot of people got those ones and they are super underrated!
I really hope you keep it for a long time and enjoy every Day of it🙏
Nice video but it would have been nice to see more of the beautiful original design cars rather than the boy racer mod cars.
Thanks man, I always appreciate some feedback!
And Yeah, I Absolutely get your point... But it was quite hard to find decent Video Material.
The Thing is, that I get my b-roll from CZcams and for some cars, there barely are any good Videos to cut up :/
it was stradman's first car:)
Jump started the Agera HH, was able to sleep in it... Good Arguments for the TTs capabilities haha
@@MrPista bro fr now he owns a freaking agera hh himself
@@beam.studios I was so suprised that He got an Agera instead of the Regera or P1! The Agera is literally my favorite Koenigsegg haha
It might be a bit weird or let's say different that He leases it but it's still awsome
(5mio price tag is a bit much though)
@@MrPista SAME! i low key wanted him him to buy an agera but i thought it would never come to be now but ye hes leasing it i respect hes being so honest about it most influencers would never do that but ye thats lot of money i have been watching him for a long time its great to see how far he has gone
@@beam.studios Also also really appreciate that transparency as it's a difficult decision for him
But it still feels different in a weird way as it's such a change over all his previous car buying decisions, but it makes sense!
I watch him for I think Like over 2 years by now and that Journey is very impressive
Not cheap to maintain
Any bad example of a car is expensive to maintain... So if you get one, it sucks.
But the TT is generally pretty reliable!
Reliable.????
You are talking shit
Why? From the research I did, they were praised a lot for reliability and tuning Potential, but I have never owned or experienced it for myself of course...
So you are welcome to Tell me when I'm wrong. But please ad more reasons to your statement, or just share your expenrience and knowledge reguarding these cars yk🤷♂️
