Optional things : 1) Ext warranty 2) Insurance (it is necessary but you can get it from anywhere, bot compulsory to buy it from dealer) 3) Accessories Compulsory : 1) Road tax 2) Registration charges The rest (for example handling charges) are illegal, you don't need to pay anything more. In short : you need to pay road tax, registration fee, get an insurance from somewhere (maybe from the dealer or somewhere else), you are ready to go!
People who exchange/sell their old vehicles should have their NCB transferred to new vehicle. It will save good amount on OD premium. But dealerships or insurance companies never disclose this to customer until they are aware.
Many car showrooms do not sell if we don't take insurance from them. When reported they tend to fight, swear, threaten the customer. It's like this, since the customer is buying a costly car he/she will not bother about that extra Rs50000 charges due to 3rd class behaviour from showroom and moreover customer thinks that he/she has donated money to the beggar.

Best is to get the car PDI'd from professional agency before buying. Cars today are highly technology driven. Checklist cannot do justice. I recenely bought my Tata Harrier and I hired Zekardo PDI to conduct the PDI for my new car. They found issues with my car not only in sensor but also discovered that the car had a meter rollback since dealer did not have demo car so they had used my car as demo car. I cancelled my car and then got a new car after that. They again came to do the PDI and when it got cleared by them, i bought the car. Highly recommended to every car buyer. THey are the only company to conduct PDI for new car in India.
Because of dealers making us foolish by adding unwanted extra bills, our mind littrely change the mind to not buy a car now. Don't know why company is not taking any serious action against to them. Looks like company is producing the car and once released from them that's all. All other issues are up to customer and dealer. They don't involve in anything. Actually they must send the bill to Customer and we should not pay any amount to dealers other than service and accessories and RTO for registration. Insurance etc to be selected by customer.

Guys please check the dealer. If he is really trustworthy only then put your foot forward. After doing so much research on which car we should finally buy, we opted for Skoda Rapid style automatic Petrol, and here are we today regretting for the same. Think twice before you buy. After sales service from Skoda is pathetic. From day one there is some or the other problem but no one to rescue. Dealer gave me fake price quotation, & cheated more than 75000/- Also not gave us the second key of my car. Collected 1% TCS i.e. 12000/- as per government norms & didn’t deposited in government till date. I am feeling completely cheated by Skoda and do not know what to do with my car. So, request all those who plan to buy Skoda to reconsider their decision and ensure they have adequate reasons to buy.

I recently Kia to book seltos. I will be shocked to know after 2 months that dealer shared fake price list showing on road price approx. 25k lesser than actual. Dealer is lohia motors , noida. On calling back to sales person he simply said it's common to have these as printout mistakes. Openly making customers fool.

Here in Gujarat, the dealers of specific cars which is very famous and sales are huge doesnt care about all these... the cars like swift, baleno, brezza, creta, innova which is selling in huge numbers, so if you use this smart tricks on them, they will directly tell u that they dont want to sell the cars with customer’s condition... this has happened with me for Creta as well as Innova so i rejected both cars but if you really want that car only then u have to surrender before them... i dont know about other states but in Gujarat...car dealers are mostly mafias

It happened with me in akoya skoda ,pune. When they shared pricelist on whatsapp,the ex-showroom price was 7.49 lakhs,but when i went to their showroom,the ex-showroom mentioned in their rate list was 7,49,900/- and i did not get it at that time. But thank god,later I realised that and made them to change it.

When I had buyed bike, there was a diff of RS 1100 between amount paid and inovoice amount. When asked the dealer said this amount is for bribe in RTO
I had to pay 4700 extra apart from exshowroom price+RTO+insurance

I am allotted i20 Asta (O) DCT against an online booking on Company site and will soon be delivered through a Hyderabad dealer. It happened with me in akoya skoda ,pune. When they shared pricelist on whatsapp,the ex-showroom price was 7.49 lakhs,but when i went to their showroom,the ex-showroom mentioned in their rate list was 7,49,900/- and i did not get it at that time. But thank god,later I realised that and made them to change it.
