‘Painting from Drawing’ provides a window into Emily’s process of using drawings as a way of really looking at her paintings. Making exact-scale drawings of her paintings can act as a trigger to start a new painting or provide new ways of revisiting an existing one.

Just Love this Emily, Can you tell us what type of paper you are using and if you will eventually finish this as a stand alone piece? I really admire how you use memories of places a jumping off point for a painting. I have always been a abstract painter with some reference to landscape but lately I have had this pull to draw and sketch more. When our isolation is over, I definitely want to come to one of your workshops.
