I think it's pretty cool that the song suddenly becomes upbeat during certain parts of the song, but it maintains an ominous vibe throughout it.

Never heard live version before, it's intense! Found myself smiling along with you at some point, something about the music

That segue/bridge at 10:00 reminds me so much of HAKEN
As someone who mucks around in the production side of the things, I have to agree -- this particular live album has top-tier recording and mixing; sometimes it's even better than the studio versions.
Apparently some music/production classes even use the stems of these songs for their teaching, they're that pristine, haha
Also, yeah, this song was the penultimate song on the live album. You could probably hear the singer was a bit tired at this point in the show, haha
(And as a final comment -- my three absolute favorite songs of theirs (that come to mind as of right now, at least) are Have You Ever?, The Weight of Disaster, and The Flood (which has a live version!))
I like the react wheel, just make sure its full of Leprous! 😂
And to note their later stuff is more laid back, and their early stuff has more deathmetal elements. And fine pronounciation of Einar (eye narh) l, the ones you have to watch are the drummer Baard who is pronounced Bored, Simen who is pronounced Semen, And Robin which is pronounced Ruben.
Don't worry, Leprous have plenty of songs on that wheel 😆
One of my favorite songs of theirs, I hope they go back to something that sounds like this in their next album. It has such a unique atmosphere.
Possibly my favourite song by them! So happy you liked it that much! (Hope you're doing ok - seems like you've been on a long hiatus...) This is Leprous doing their variety of "prog". You might be into progressive music (where "stuff" happens all the time - home of crazy inventive musicianship)
If you like a bass line you should checkout “I Lose Hope” by Leprous.
This song was the one that played before the Live Version of Contaminate Me, which there is a full video of I think you may or may not like.
