The thing about the 3D trees not being noticeable may be true, but 2D trees ARE noticeable, so overall, I'd say that's a solid improvement.

Agreed. The trees on certain tracks are one of the most visually impressive parts of the game. And the game really can vary in quality visually. Some tracks look disappointing ly flat and washed out and lacking in roadside detail. But when it’s good it’s jaw dropping - the best looking racing game ever.

The only thing I feel lacking is customization of cars. If the point was to make you attached to a car then the possibility of changing more aspects of the car and also spec normal cars to become racecars eventually would make a complete new world available regarding being "connected" to the car. Even making one car way more viable throughout series.
The AI car models are so bad. The car list is also terrible. 6 years and they couldn’t put in the green hell? Obviously covid derailed this team. Its amazing gt7 came out so complete. Ray tracing is great but if the cars you’re racing look like forza motorsport 4 cars with jagged taillights, who cares?
Absolutely. I don't even mind a shorter car list. If the game would simply be denser. Also the addition of more rare edition cars like they do in motorfest would help as well. They didn't even release the game with 21:9 support. The bonnet of cars will only reflect a certain angle of view, seats missing in regular cars when viewing to the sides in cockpit view, menus got black bars etc

The only thing I’m disappointed in right now is the campaign requiring an Internet connection. While I am used to it, I’m just not a fan of this trend since it’s affecting a lot of franchises. Other than that, I’m really excited about this game and look forward to playing it next week!

Gamepass is really paying off this year. Not having split screen really is a shame, hopefully they can add it. Besides that, motorsport is back and I love it!
I highly doubt they will, and wouldnt be surprised if they cant because it will be too much of a performance it. That and realistically only a very small percentage of people would use it, especially on a regular basis, its just not worth trying to implement.
@@eightymopar Sadly I think you're right. Split screen, physical game discs, getting a game with full DLC instead of small bundles.... all becoming things of the past due to either money, hardware or time. I will say the season pass has been worth it the last few years for Forza though.
@@TheMostOrdinaryMan im honestly glad split screen is gone, i hated it. We all did back in the day 😂 we used to have makeshift lan parties with the ps2 even to avoid it. There was like one or 2 other consoles back then that had a system link type function as well, but i just dont remember off hand. Having your own, full screen is so much better, especially after playing 4 player split screen on goldeneye on a 19 inch tv 😂

I really like the feeling of grip on the cars, and the dynamic weather. Some strange track and car omissions bother me, but I'm sure they will be added. Also, I actually enjoy multiplayer, which I don't normally play, but I'd like a bit more customization in my races. So far, I haven't found a way to make a public online race without the driving line or certain assists.

I’ve been loving the multiplayer surprisingly as I never really enjoyed it in the past in Forza. I wish there was a wider area of the game you could maintain party groups though. Annoying to change parts on a car and lose the group.

Yeah there is more grip then in the older gen forza motorsport. I play with steering wheel, maybe thats the reason the grip feels solit@JsGarage
You don't have to buy many copies of the car, just save your settings and, unlike the previous parts of the series, you can load them without additional costs.
I get it, but that’s a bit tedious. People just wanna be able to have multiple separate builds, both performance and visually different on 2+ different cars; without needing to rank the next up to level 50. It’s a simple fix of them applying the car level to all cars of the same exact model. Even better imo would be to have a manufacturer level rather than individual models.

You can do that with just earning cash, though. Think like the first couple of Gran Turismo titles.
Car Exp is a far more restrictive and grindy system than just earning cash for upgrades or new cars.
@@KashouWannabe If you want to play a game where you can mod any car and have silly amounts of money to make a 1000hp fiat panda then play horizon. This is supposed to be a more realistic racing career experience.
It actually is pretty good. And the new tire model feels great. I can tell when I’m losing traction, and it’s easy to catch slides. I have had a couple game crashes, But I did buy early release. So I’m sure the bugs will be fixed, obviously given the title this is goi g to be here for a while, and improvements and updates will come. Definitely gives me a motorsport 4 vibe, but with better visuals, and better handling

@@definitelyfunatparties 😂 fuck man forreal, but us forza fans still have to hold onto the hope, the only thing bad i can say about the game right now is that wack ass delay they did with the clutch it totally works against the way your car handles mid turn. but as far as these crashes on pc, man it has been terrible, i got the crash after EVERY race thing going on it sucks man.

@@CaliBiz951 yh I don't get why they did that with the clutch, but you get used to it after a while.. tbh I rage quit the game refunded it after I drove a Honda and it didn't have vtec crossover. I don't even like Hondas that much bro but it just pisses me off that they don't care about something THAT big. FH5 was a dumpster fire and this is the last straw for me.. I think I'm done with with Forza.. which is sad, cause there really isn't anything out there that's a proper substitute. Assetto Corsa is pretty good but you have to mod and mod and mod until you get something actually worth playing..
One thing that annoys me, you level up your car, by the time you unlock the things you would expect to need to build a decent car you are onto your next career series in a different car thus leaving that old car to never be used again

It won't be. Like GT7, which is still half assed. I went back to playing FM7 to get my fix as there's so much more content.
I'm intrigued, and will make my decision when I get my hands on it with Game Pass, but I feel like long-term the progression system could be quite refreshing.
I would often make new profiles in racing games so that I could get back to that early phase of driving what I could afford as hard as I could.
Though I _really_ miss the old Gran Turismo approach of giving you 10000 bucks and setting you free in the used market.

Ive always been geared more towards forza motorsport than forza horizon.
This new installment of forza motorsport feels refreshing compared to the last 3 forza motorsport games.

I feel exactly the same way bro, this is a much better Motorsport than the last 3 of them.
I think they mentioned that besides the engine and models with the new tracking and physics they weren't really adding anything new just the best of what worked from all three.
I just want a new, well done Midnight Club/NFS Underground. I went into Horizon hoping it was going to be that, but just with bigger and more rural environments to race in.
Honestly wasn't a fan at all. I remember trying The Crew 2, and I just cringed every time somebody opened their mouth. It was like Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus in video game form. Drooled over Horizon thinking that must be the version of the formula I was looking for, finally got an Xbox Series, got it off gamepass, aaaand.. cringey college party vibe. 😢
I prefer Motorsport compared to horizon too. But for me, this one sux compared to FM7
The car xp level up system completely put me off this game. I love building cars but I want to take one and change things about it right away. Having to farm just to unlock the ability to *maybe* end up with a good car is terrible!

Ive owned every forza title since OG xbox and have been playing this last few days. Love the upgrade system and the online multiplayer is awesome
I was hoping that they'd strip it back a bit but I've always hated their "car experience" feature for this upcoming title.
What is so wrong with buying a junker with your starter money, grind the Sunday Cup a few times, whack in some upgrades and tackle the harder races.
Really turns me off and I think this will be a "pass" for me.
Yeah that was so great about the old Forza's and Gran Turismo. Gen Z just want instant gratification apparently according to the developers.
@@Terraceview Isn't really that instant. You would have to put in 2-3 hours of races on a per car basis if you want to do some mild, basic car building such as changing out the brakes, gearbox etc.
From what I gather things like engine swaps are locked behind level 40-50. That could be 4 hours plus to unlock, PER CAR.
In his review Failrace said that he's been busy lately and hasn't been able to knuckle down with the game like he normally does. He still completed all the available events in the current career mode in two days. And there are week to month long wait timers for new events that may be time limited so a chance to miss them.
And even then you could spend 4 hours plus on a car getting everything opened up only to find that there are no worthwhile competitions for that car due to entry restrictions.
It really is a big, grindy mess, that feels like the antithesis of what the FM series should be.
the fact that he said " for those who don't know these games are completely separate from the forza horizon games" shows that the new generation has officially taken over gaming. anyway i always like the original track-oriented games anyway. horizon is fantastic for displaying other types of racing and really doing some fun things. forza motorsport will always have my heart.
Was really hoping to see the Career Calender from the early FM make an appearance...it was so cool to have to race a different style and class every day to progress, it really got me using cars I would have never touched, and u love it for that. It's even how I fell in love with the Le Mans 24 hour race...I used to race that every week...even had the World Record time at one point.
Most modes are online only, for me that’s a deal breaker.

I appreciate your take on the progression system. Made me understand it better. A lot of times I zone out and just focus on winning. Horizon makes you try for points. So I like they brought that idea over better now
It’s great if you love cars and want something with a little more flair than GT7. Not saying one’s better than the other. They’re just different. GT7 is really all about the cars and racing, not much fluff. Forza feels like it’s 80/20 sim racer/arcade racer. It has a better sense of speed and the sound design is top notch. But when it comes to actually learning how to race, GT7 does a better job teaching how and why. Forza has a lot of cool assists like the driving line, but there’s a lot more to it than that. If you’ve ever got all gold in GT’s license tests you know what I mean.
Eventhough i play FH5, i'll prefer GT7 than this FM.. too bad PC2 is no longer available an it is one of my favourite title for racing simulation..
Having played a great many racing games over a number of years, though mostly on PC, I think it's more 60/40 or 50/50
Forza seems to lack ABS and TC settings having a "factory" (i.e whatever the real car has) setting and for modern GTs with adjustable TC levels on the fly I see no way to do this in the latest Forza
As a long time Forza Motorsport fan this new one is really good. Couple of little quirks but the look and feel are excellent.
Been a long time coming... I've been around since the very first game on the OG Xbox. Horizon 4 and 5 have both been kind of disappointing to me. More or less just decently fun sandbox games, but the toning and progression of those games burnt me out fast. I've been itching to get back into a more serious "climb the ranks with your car" type of game. I hope this holds up over time and I'll definitely be playing with it being on Game Pass PC.
As someone who's hooked on F1 and setting lap times around the tracks and also dabbled in Assetto and rFactor 2, I've been waiting on this game for more chilled but still good game. Loved Horizon 4 and 5 so excited to dive into my first Motorsport title from these guys today!

I was wondering, what if they have some "Driving Test" on mid-late game that can unlock sort of instant car level threshold? I mean like after the test they can provide lv 5 as a start 10/15/20 and so on. I mean the driver skill level would be keep progressing, not always from 0 every time changing the car.
Will it run on steam deck? I would really appreciate a brief statement on steam deck compatibility (if applicable) for future before you buy titles.
Wasn't sold at first, but after having played the game a bit more, I'm really liking it. I think it was smart to scale things down. Graphics seemed questionable at first, but I've started to appreciate how good it actually looks. This game is already really good , and it should be a good platform in which to expand upon.
A remember a racing sim review said that forza is the best looking expect with gt7 that look better but it needs to work some bug and that based game no mods or anything like what ac look like with mods

Haven't played it yet, really looking forward to it though. What gets me into Forza motorsport is the tightness of the controls and it sounds like that is right on point again. When the "car by car" upgrade through experience etc thing was brought up at first it sounded frustrating, but actually it's a good point to have, keeps the game relevant, and "a point to play".
I still think progression should be with manufacturer vs the specific car itself. If ur a Nissan guy then racing with any Nissan will unlock and level upgrades for that brand. Being locked to just each car is kinda a bummer, unless levelling up is fast. Just my thoughts, as someone that switched from PlayStation to Xbox years ago specifically because Forza Motorsport there is a list of things people have asked for over a decade that we still haven’t gotten. Instead they do things like this which is the complete opposite direction.
So the whole car points system is a pain but also something the fans wanted. We wanted more of a grind, but T10 took it a bit far lol. I did a video of this on my channel explaining it in a bit more detail, however I think T10 need to re-adjust the car points/leveling system to just be related to each car Brand, and not every car! Apart from that, its a fantastic racing game.
I don't normally play racing sim games. The only type of racing games I'll play are arcade. Love NFS, Forza Horizon, Burnout, Split Second, etc. But I have been wanting to try out a more sim like racer just to see if I'll like it. I'm glad that this is on Game Pass because I can try it out without having to pay full price for it.
I've never been a racing game guy before but I picked up FH5 for some variety and it's pretty fun. Having to unlock upgrades for every single car you get does sound ridiculous though.
I probably won't ever get around to this anyway as I'm pretty set on checking out GT7 in VR at some point this gen and I doubt I'll need more racing than that. But the environments do look amazing.

That’s a really intelligent way of making progression fun and engaging. So it’s not so much about mindlessly winning every race it’s more about driving better and better and trying new cars to get more xp and turning off all the assistants to get maximum xp… nice. Still gonna use muscle cars tho.
The amount of grinding is ridiculous in my opinion. You would think they would’ve learned from gran turismo 7 mistake with the low payouts and pay for credits to upgrade/ buy cars
Disappointed Bathurst is missing along with some of the classic Holden and Fords that were in Fm7, maybe they intend to make them a purchase later but not too hopeful. The rest is really nice.

I played the Horizon game and I really enjoyed it and the only thing I really wanted in that game was actual tracks to race on so of course this game is totally for me. I'm pumped for this one and its good to see people enjoying the game so far. Haven't picked it up yet but soon!

Don't. Wait and see if they update the game and fix all the horrendous bugs and choices they have made, for one this game is very difficult to run even on high end or top of the line computers, secondly the multiplayer is locked to 60fps which obviously makes it horrible to look at and also makes the responsiveness of the game much slower. There is also many bugs with crashes, tracks not loading, and the worst one I have come across is that no matter what nothing to do with voice works in the game, the announcer and narrator do not work, and I cannot hear voice chat. tried verifying and reinstalling the game but no luck. Past all that the racing in the game feels amazing compared to anything else I have played, the car level progression is weird and I am not a fan of having to play hours and hours of one car just to do an engine swap. But if you take anything away from this just WAIT for them to update it

@@k1ngkaos252 You sound like an idiot. 60 FPS on a 240hz monitor and a system that is quite high end feels extremely sluggish in comparison to consoles. Consoles don't even sit on 60fps anymore so why they would decide to do this is very bizzare
I like that it's per car. For instance, beginning race you need a car in B league, but due to upgrades, my type R was A. I want to keep one car for B tier, but also want to do another with max out parts without having to keep track of parts swapping.

To be honest i like the idea of earning points for upgrades for cars. But the current system is not good. They could remove the unlocking of parts, but keep the points system. You would still need to do races with the car to get the points but then you can just choose whatever upgrade you want with the points you have. Points could also be earned by any car from the manufacturer/class and be spent in the same categories instead of just one specific car.
The progression reminds me of games with guns where you upgrade the more you use a gun. I agree they need to keep the progression per car. I like to have a 4 WD and rear wheel version of some cars. Plus maybe a Category A and S setup ready to go. This means I need to level up 2 cars or switch setups before racing :(

The only thing that I'm not a fan of with Forza is that brake bias is set per vehicle, and requires the purchase of upgraded brakes, where in GT Sport it is a global setting. Brake bias makes a huge difference when playing with a controller. Combined with the ABS, cars like the Mustang are undriveable to me as they will just understeer off every corner. I've setup my Mustang to 70/30 rear bias, and now it snaps in to every apex like its on rails.
Also noticed some strange artefacts around the light poles from 8:25 onwards, especially against the sky. It's like motion blur that forgot to blur. Is that your setup or the game? Also I loved when you referred to the tracks as maps (nerd!) 😜
I felt a bit included in the "Multiple Miata kitted differently" thing, I literally have 10 differently kitted Miata in Horizon 5😅

You should be able to buy parts. The mods are limited by the class of the series. Car points could have been license points, so you are reward for your ability and therefore progress racing tiers.

I have pre-ordered every Forza game since FM5, and I am a little hesitant to get this one because FM7 kind of burned me, I’m very happy to see this in my notifications
It's worth it. Besides the odd leveling system, everything is refined from FM7. AI is better, cars feel heavier, the sound is absolutely fantastic, even multiplayer runs really well. Just no drag racing or anything like that and no split screen.

I also got burned on FM7 on pc. Broken on launch and never fixed. I bought the premium upgrade and honestly, im not mad about it. It has some issues, mostly performance/optimization, but its workable with tweaking some settings. Overall ive been enjoying it though and its pretty solid.
It's been a while since I've played it, but is the progression kind of like GT3 where you earn licenses to get access to more cars?

With the assist you can make it so your car will drive itself except the gas so you just need to tape the gas and set the track to max laps
I have this and Forza Motorsport 7. FM7 was my first Forza and it was nearly undrivable for me, so I was nervous about this, but it’s A LOT easier. I couldn’t even cruise around in FM7 without crashing it was ridiculous.

@@deathtrooper2048 controller. I'm coming from Granturismo where the controller is extremely responsive and precise- like you can place the car exactly where you want with accuracy. Going to FM7 where the minimum steering input is actually a TON of steering input, and on top of that the physics are kind of strange. It took 50 years to catch a slide, the understeer was catastrophic. Something as simple as changing lane felt like trying steer the titanic 180°.
Anyway the new game has similar car physics, but it is a lot more drivable. I think with this one I can be more precise with my inputs, they calibrated the controller much more properly. And less challenge doesn't equal less realistic. Most cars in the real world are quite easy to handle.
@@deathtrooper2048 I should explain I could drive the easier cars in FM7 without too much difficulty, but not the ones that are tricky.
The last time I raced on FM7 I drove the Jaguar F Type- its a gran touring car, not a track car, so you would expect it to be tricky to drive, but alright. I could barely do a lap without spinning, it was completely on edge for me and I don't think that's true to life or fun.
Been a FM fan since the early days. I'm genuinely looking forward to this one, not sure how I feel about the new upgrading system though. Unlike many FM players I tend not to upgrade or tune my cars all that much (I'm a fan of factory-spec racing), so it might not impact **MY** experience with the game too much, but for some of my friends who are seriously into the building/tuning scene I could see it being a right pain.
Having to level a car up before you can start f*cking around under the hood properly might be a deal-breaker for some, it'll depend on how much grinding is required in order to unlock a car's full range of parts and tunability. If you can unlock everything in a few races, or perhaps a single championship series, it should be fine- It'd even give a tuner a few KM to get used to a car's "personality" before getting to work. If it takes many, many hours behind the wheel for EVERY CAR, like it's some kind of piston-powered MMORPG, most of the hardcore tuners will lose interest and play something else.
Hopefully it is manufacturer bound or at least category... levelling car by car is mad 😢
@@wallthemart Pretty sure I heard it's by car, although by manufacturer would make more sense. Hopefully it's not too much of a grind, maybe like in past Forza games' leveling systems, you'll get extra XP by turning off assists and increasing AI skill.

@@andyb1653I’ve had early access and the upgrade system is actually pretty fun and amazing. What I’ve noticed is leveling up relies on your skills the better you drive on the track the more Car XP you earn which levels your cars up. After doing the first 2 builders cup my cars are always near the 21-25 level range at the last race which is enough for just about everything besides engine swaps, drivetrain conversations, and body kits. That’s fine with me besides body kits that doesn’t really make sense for me. What I have noticed is the need to drive better on the track combined with the highest AI setting being really fast makes it a really enjoyable game because it always feels like you need to push your car to its limits and fiddle around with tuning! Overall the progressions really makes you learn a car and what upgrades are ideal for example I picked the civic as a starter car in the past I would have just maxed it out to the required PI and not noticed how tail happy it is which prompted me to focus on getting rear sway bars and better rear tire width as my first couple upgrades.
I know this probably isn't your go to type of game but thanks for delving into it, much appreciated!
good review. my graphics look a bit more blurry than yours despite 100% resolution with ultra dynamic quality (cause there's no off button). not sure how to fix it. Also runs on like 60fps without raytracing on a 3070ti, where f12023 runs on like 150fps, not sure why.

Hey falcon, would you ever make a list about the games with alchemy aspects in it?
How would you compare gt7? I found this last literation with always online and at first expensive cars and many forced doubles was disappointing regardless of solid sim racing it left something to be desired. It was improved with feedback thankfully and improved nonetheless. But I felt the sim racing itself was above par anything else ever created.
I wish you talked about what racing hardware this officially supports like the drive wheel, pedals, etc. It looks good though and I like all the info so far that you mentioned. 👍
I'm playing on my fanatec dd1 with, load cell brake kit, and club sport shifter and everything works as soon as you boot it up. I have buddies with moza, simicube, logitech and everything is supported. You will need to find good settings because default isn't good. But once you do the ffb feels actually very good as well as the physics. Idk what other sim racers you play but forza is a legit "sim-lite" this time around just like GT7. Game is pretty damn good tbh

I like the car xp system, but wish all upgrades where unlocked from the start. That way it would give you way more options from the getgo, but you would need to grind to max out.

My favorite racing game of all time was Sega 2000 GT on the original XBox, and this sounds similar to that. I loved the slow progression and building out cars to make them faster so I could earn enough points to join other leagues and race events.
I don't play a lot of racing games, though, so I didn't know that the Horizon games weren't like that at all. I don't want story or RPG elements or being forced to do specific events in order to progress the game.
So I'm looking forward to this one.

@@invadurzim7836 it looks bad becuase of the far level of detail or the forced depth of field. I reinstalled Forza M 7 and looks way better on the distance, no blur at all. Close to your car game looks good but the rendering distance is realy bad. I refunded the game because of that.
@@noncog1 really cos at almost every point in my playthrough so far there was something stunning to look at, especially when it's raining or just after it's rained and you get those gorgeous reflections of the stadium lights on the track, I can't think of a racing game that looks better than this
I'm not a big racing games fan, But i was once, Gran turismo 3 was my favorite racing game, Nothing actually come after give me the same sensation, i tried them all, Gran turismo 4 and 5..etc, It just something special about GT3.

I’m liking it so far but a bit dubious about the car progression system, previous games I’d buy a car I like make it A or B class then go play and see how I liked it then start tuning to my liking, now I’d need to buy the car level it up then start upgrading and tuning which potentially is a few hours per car it’ll certainly hamper my ‘creativity’ in picking more ‘out there’ cars and probably tempt me to stick with something I like

This seem like racing game I will try out. Simple, on point without endless backside stories is what racing simulators should all be. Sounds good.
For for it also of you need tuning help watch Hokihoshi he haven't made one for Motorsport yet but he made one for horizon 4 and 5 also as an advice pick the rims and body kits you want for your cars first and work around them don't tune and then change styling of your car

Definitely released 2 early, many problems but still good. An example of this is maple valley in the fog, cars in rear view look like they’re floating on mist.
I love Forza Horizon games. I have purchased a few of the motorsport games. I didn't rush in and buy the new one as I'd like to give it some time to see all of the reviews because Motorsport 7 didn't blow my hat off.
This game feels like a worthy successor to Forza Motorsport 4
I play ACC, AC and rF2 on a daily basis but I'm skipping this one. I'd have fun with it for a few hours tops. Nothing like the thousands of hours of more of the realistic sims that are out now. Plus, WRC, AC2, Le Mans Ultimate and new ACC content are on the way.

Being completely honest wait a few months if you’re a returning player as a veteran player their things that will annoy you right now for example there a forced delay when shifting and so many weird things as well color palette isnt there when compared to previous. I could go on but if you are new this is good to get into it does a very good job to teach how to and show how to race properly

I really am liking the game so far! Sure the car leveling system seems a little weird but truly you don’t learn a car in a day. That system is in place to master a car more than customize. I just wish they had drifting in the multiplayer list!
Tbf, the drifting is really hard in this game, that said, i havent tried drifting with a drift tune
It would be good if limited to career mode. Since they apply this everywhere, it just means every single person online will now be driving the same cheat car for each class 💁♂️

FH5 was the WORST forza game to date, but I actually had decent expectations for FM cause it was an actual T10 project but it just made me even more disappointed in the whole franchise..

It's the Pepsi to Forza Horizon's Coke. Or more appropriately, If FH is a Camaro, Crew Motorfest is a Mustang. It's fun enough, and a similar experience to PG's game. If you're looking for a simulator-ish experience you might be disappointed, but if you know what you're getting into it's a good time.

I’m enjoying it as a racing step up from Horizons but I can see my playtime being limited because of the car upgrade system. Still saves me money as no point buying the add on as what’s the point of new cars that ti shall never get around to upgrading.

I'm not normally one to take to comments to chew someone out, but this is one of the laziest, most lopsided reviews I've ever seen. Since this is a huge channel, you're liable to mislead a metric ton of people.
You cut between a small handful of clips exclusively taken from the very beginning of the game, give it a glow-up, then conclude by saying that 'there's not much more to talk about unless you're a diehard'. No. There's a LOT more you COULD have chosen to talk about.
You could actually inform your viewers that Microsoft are using them as glorified beta testers, since there are bugs and crashes around every corner.
You could tell them that there are NO race car events AT ALL in the single player career mode at present. NONE. It's exclusively road cars, so that the devs can get you grinding out this car level system, clearly designed to pad out player retention figures, so that the execs can pat themselves on the back at the next slew of boardroom meetings.
How about that the AI is a complete travesty? Completely unable to race one another or the player in tight quarters, when they're not busy playing bumper cars and flying off the track, or randomly slamming their brakes in the middle of the race track.
You could talk about the CLEARLY recycled (inaccurate) early Forza car models that have been dumped into this game - demonstrating that the 'built from the ground up' tag line the developers were using up until release was complete BS.
How about that the force feedback experience on wheel is utterly tragic, until the player gets a degree in mechanical engineering and rejigs everything from the ground up?
How about that close racing from interior views is nearly impossible, since there's no radar and the proximity arrows are useless? That's fine, chase cam with gamepad is the only thing that matters, right?
You could talk about the predatory nature of the 'early play' release, launch day DLCs, or utter credit and XP grind this game is. As if they pivoted from creating a mobile game to mainline console midway through development.
You could mention that the replay and photo modes are recycled travesties. The bipolar graphics combining flat textures and ancient models with ray tracing to try to pass as 'next gen', leading to hugely variable visual fidelity depending on time and weather.
There are a metric TON of things you could've fleshed out in this 'just a racing game'. You could've told your viewers that Microsoft released an UNFINISHED game, and are charging full price for it, but instead you opted to push out a half-baked glow up and hoped that nobody would dive deep enough to notice.
I understand that not everybody is into the racing space, and if that's you, there's nothing wrong with that. But just like I'll never review Farming Simulator since I don't know the first thing about farming, you could have just given this a miss - you don't have to review things you clearly don't care about.
Will forza motorsport global release time get delayed to fix the bugs?
Please, i need answers since I am so desperate for this game. And, there is alot of bugs in motorsport right now, so are they gonna delay global (but still keep premium players running), and then fix the bugs for premium and then announce the release date?
I feel. Like you should only need to level up a car model once, then hace everything unlocked and ready with all the points for any car of the same model you buy later.

No way lol the unlocking should be off more meta stuff not basics. That and getting new cars and places to race. I don't want my fun stuck to the beginner car they start me with cause it's the one I get the most time with
I've have a few bugs ,can't apply up grades for cars and sometimes can't buy cars in career, have to shut down console ,then whe you start up console ,you lose you progression .

Great game but doesn’t seem to run well on the Deck - 30fps on low and only through Windows 10. It’s quite demanding but with ray tracing on it looks insane (on 3080)
I'm finally going to have space for a steering wheel soon and I'm on the hunt for a good racing game. I'm not fussed if it's on PC or Playstation. Up to now it's always been Gran Turismo for me. But I haven't played any racing game for ages to I want to know what else I should consider. Anything that feels good and can quickly drop me in a multiplayer race with similarly skilled players will tick the boxes.
Love your reviews, I always check them out before I think about getting a game. But I have to say for games like forza I think it’s a little lacking, I’m not sure but I don’t think racing sims are your specialty, to be honest I can tell that there is a lack of knowledge which ultimately leaves the review rather laking for more serious racing game players. I’m not saying this to put down all your work and the effort that went into this, but I think it could be very useful perhaps to have a actual specialist in this field or somebody who is very much involved in the sphere to give some more specific point about the racing during the review. Just a thought but thank you for all the great videos 👍

Why are people starting to call Tracks on racing games Maps? This isn’t CoD this is Racing. The game looks great. Only I’m worried about is the car leveling system.
If by people you mean gameranx then yeah, you're right. I have never heard anyone else refer to a track as a map. People who refer to tracks as maps are about as into video games as people who refer to all consoles as nintendos.
Imma just be real, it feels like mw2 but for racing, the car level situation gets old fast, id feel if the remove the parts lock progression and just keep the Car point earned per level would be a good alternative, still feels like actual progression but it allows us to be able modify our cars how we would in real life and the more we drive the more we have to spend on the that car
