They are wolves in sheep's clothing.
They aren't living as the Bible says.

Let me give you a reality check:
I was a pastors wife for 10 years, during which I did some 20- 30 hours of volunteer work, including Bible studies, retreats and children's ministry.
In the 1990s, I felt the call to ministry. I finished 45 hours at a major Protestant seminary, and received my Masters degree from Loyola University.
During the next years, I served small churches, some rural.
During that time, I made $36,000. In these days, as a single person, this put me barely above the poverty line.
Now I am 67 years old and live on social security - some $847 a month. That, and $207 in retirement from the church now squarely below the poverty line!
All my life, I have put the Lord and my church community first. This is my reality in old age - I will have to work until I die!
Don't be fooled by those relatively few who make exorbitant salaries! In the words of Jesus 'they have received their reward! '
There are far more pastors like me, working in the trenches, struggling just to make it!
We do it because we are called, because we love God and God's people!
Think about pastors like me - who are really the majority! - before you make snap judgments!

@@reachright no, I'm in the camp that they shouldn't be living better than their congregation if they are taking a pay check and having their mortgages , kids private schools, and bills paid for by the church. But I still don't view preaching as a job either. The Bible says a man that doesn't provide for his own, has abandoned the faith and is worse than a nonbeliever. You can say counseling, visiting the sick, as an excuse for paying them if it helps you sleep at night, we are all called to do that just like we are all called to preach the gospel. There are a lot of pastors out there that are worse than an unbeliever. I'm not against supporting ministries that are actually doing things in the communities they are stationed at. Small and large churches pastors have become detached from reality. Pastors these same pastors will preach at you like you are a lazy worthless Christian, mind you, they preach this towards the very people that foot the bill and keep that pastors lights on and his family feed, then challenge you to drop everything you are doing, forsake all and follow God. Read 1 Corinthians 7 and learn something I say. Married people are divided. We have earthly responsibilities to support our families as well as biblical responsibilities. So when I hear that nonsense from a pastor, I simply respond with, ok preacher, you first. I honestly wish I had the means to drop everything and solely work in ministry, but I live in reality, come join me if you'd like.

I am. They applied to Caesar for provision in March 2020. receiving millions in free PPP money. They compromised with the state. In return they just had to be silent about the gigantic lie perpetrated in the world and the church and go along with selling the poison. What betrayers of the truth. They bowed to the beast system and to this day have not publically repented.

    • @Solideogloria00

Agree. This is absolutely disgusting and unbiblical since that money is collected by preaching a distortion of the tithe-a tax law for a NATION based on produce and animals ONLY, and which is clearly not for the New Testament church.
The money churches collect by this false teaching (the unbiblical tithe) goes mostly for pastors (50-60%) and maintaining their luxurious real state (30-40%), only 1-10% goes into “missions” and helping the poor, widow, the orphan, the foreigner.
Most churches have it backwards. They will be given the Lord account for being unfaithful “servants” who are not serving the needy but are being served by needy and their paychecks.

Did you take into account the use of a parsonage? We live in a very high cost housing market (one of the highest in the nation) and provide a parsonage to our pastor and his family for the equivalent of about $5,000 per month in rent. Would we add $60,000 to his take home pay to come up with a realistic number?

This is a phenon of THIS generation, when I was saved in the 80's there was no such thing in the churches back in the day, yeah, I know, dating myself, but there were choirs and even though I am pretty hip on some ways, those choirs were way better than this stuff they call "worship"today, no one is worth 80k to lead the congregation in singing..

The worship music today with the drum beat is worldly and unholy. It is pop music recycled with christianeze lyrics. Men get paid to entertain the congregation with a feel good radio beat. No one enters in and worships. Because the worship leader controls the show. This is not the early church . What a bunch of charlatans. Lucifer was a worship leader too.

I work in the pest control industry so I go to sometimes 10 houses a day. In most cases pastors are living very well in very nice homes. No matter how nice the person is it always puts a little bit of a stain on the way that I look at them. I understand that they have to support their family, and I’m not expecting them to live in a trailer park, but it just doesn’t sit right. It’s a very sticky situation. I feel like that they should live no better than the average person in their congregation and what I see a lot of the times is them living like the top 5% of their congregation, maybe even 1%.
