- A live intimate version of “I'm Drowned “sung live at the Amoeba. You can hear how Tim intentionally pulled back at the end to save his voice for the later concert. That last phrase is usually sung at a brilliant and vibrant full octave higher than he performed here.

In case anyone was wondering, the Swan is the major river that runs through Perth Western Australia, which is Tim’s home state.
I'm missing the reference? Is there a verse that refers to it? Or is it considered inspiration for the song?
Wow. Beautiful.
It's sooooo good!!

So relatable. Wonder how many other people out there are living a cruel love relationship? Better days, they reassure us, are coming...
They come as soon as you choose to allow them. Confused by your comment.
Sadly this song was my anthem for probably a year before the end of a long bad relationship.
Oddly it's still comforting even though it represents such hopelessness
Zappa on the crappa
Would have liked to hear more of that piano playing at the end.
Never heard this song before. It’s good
It’s one of my favorites! But the “wedding cake on a wedding dress” was originally “red wine on a wedding dress”, and I liked that better. I wonder why he changed it?
The dynamics are amazing and he changes timing flawlessly!
@DeborahDyer probably just mixing it up, thoug he could have been experimenting with different metaphors.
Red wine on a wedding dress describes ruining something beautiful
Wedding Cake on a wedding dress is more like a clumsy execution of something that should have been beautiful? Or a beautiful moment spoiled by the thing that was supposed to symbolize it?
Idk. I'm sticking with my first answer. He changed one word, it's rarer - the fans love that 😉
@@DeborahDyerI've noticed Tim often changes the lyrics a bit in different live performances of lots of his songs. It just seems to be his style of performing

It most of his songs I understand that. But in this case, I suspect an underlying reason. Wedding cake is usually white, and washable, so it wouldn’t make much of a “splash”. Red wine, on the other hand, paints a vivid image and would produce a stain. Perhaps, he was playing a charity for alcoholic’s rehab?
I hope to see Tim live missed him 2022
Don't know where you are, but he's doing a show in London in early June in the West End.
@@sweetsyerra I’m in Australia lucky you enjoy 💕
