I actually didn't realize that was Kibler at first. Having last seen him back in Hearthstone times, back when he was smooth shaved and sporting short hair, so first five minutes of video I spent in this weird land of "this looks odd... he doesn't look like Kyle but who is that man? Or has he changed since last time?" Only to then hear Kibler's voice proper once it came to him presenting his deck, going "Ohhhhhhhhhh"
I also wrongly assumed it was kibler at first, but after Kyle let it slip that he was a host on "commander at home" it was pretty obvious.
Need an all Brian pod in the future, where everyone builds for Brian and then no one is aware of whom they actually built it for and thus maximum chaos ensues.

WOTC and Hasbro have a TON of problems, most of which actively harm Magic…but wow is Gavin just a gem. We can at least know that he genuinely loves the game and the community.
Most of the employees at WoTC do love the game, its mostly the upper management of Hasbro that is screwing the game up so much
@@darthsnarf That's the unfortunate part, and many people still don't realize that. The amount of people that point their frustration at Gavin, Mark, etc... is too high. These guys care about the game just as much as (more than, really,) the Professor and nearly every other super fan.
@JaySay63 my frustration with mark has nothing to do with the current situation. It has to do with him giving everything to green.
99% of the employees at Wizards love the game and just want to make cool cards, it's the executives at Hasbro that push all of the sets that ruin the game.

I love the judge bit when a misplay that didn't affect gameplay happened. This is a fun and entertaining way to do that, because so rarely does a misplay truly affect the game.

Is this irony? No significant effect? Olivia was able to cast a 3 cmc enchantment that she otherwise couldn't have cast. It had a significant impact on the game.

The comedic timing for almost every action Prof did this game was so on point (Needing more mana bc Lodestone Golem while they were literally talking about it, reading the card SOMETIMES explains the card regarding the intimidate ability, etc.)

Super excited to watch this episode! Olivia and Brian are some of my favorite players to watch, and Gavin's no slouch either! Idk how often it gets mentioned, but I just wanted to say how much I REALLY like your minimalist animations. The simple "wood" dice cup style bordered character portraits and muted impact sound when they take damage, the simple chevron arrows to indicate attacking, etc. Edit: I was not expecting Olivia's "Hey, Listen" reference, but that was gold.

@@pantsmage970 right but you have to keep in mind he wasnt doing that selfishly, it wasnt so that he would have a strong deck it was so he wouldnt screw over gavin unfairly when three players had decks made by great deckbuilders
@@lavenderwalrus9875 The end result, however, was a swing in the opposite direction. Gavin ended up with a deck that was over powered from the rest. I agree that Prof ruined the spirit of the game by doing that.
That said, it's his channel so he can do whatever he wants. lol
I love Gavin so much. He's able to play off just about everyone as an entertainer because he's so happy about the game. He's a perfect person to have designing Magic. Whatever else I could possibly say about Hasbro and The Mother Ship, I can NEVER say the releases are poorly designed. MTG is, and continues to be, an absolute blast to play.

When the burnished heart was flung It reminded me of a family story of my grandfather angrily throwing playing cards and a summer spent playing cards with an incomplete deck before finding the missing card under the refrigerator.
its always so lovely having fun goofy memories of familytime like that, I remember when I was a kid i used to play cards a ton with my grandparents and cousins and one time when i was still learning to shuffle i messed it up and dropped the cards everywhere, at the time I was also unable to say shuffle, i would say shuvvle and because of that my grandparents playfully teased me about it later by reminding me to shuffle the cards not shuvvle them as they didn't want to have to find them all again and that became my favourite running in joke with my family. It became almost a game amongst me and my cousins where we would ask our grandma "is it my turn to shuvvle?" or something to that effect and hope she didnt hear us swap the words and if she didnt notice and agreed/gave us permission, we would gleefully throw the entire deck of cards on the floor.
Commander at home is actually really good, I need more. This was a great game and great guests!

I just realized when prof passes the turn after the intimidate block he should have drawn a card from Ludevic because he lost life from bitter-blossom.
He did multiple times he should have drawn 3-4 extra cards from Ludevic.

At the start with just Brian and his friend Gavin in shot, I genuinely thought this episode was extending "built decks for each other" to dress like each other as well.
