- Been using the Aprilia SR GT 125 for a few days now so thought I'd share my thoughts on some minor quibbles and missed opportunities. Still loving the new bike though.

Perfect motorbike...ridesafe always goodjob
Cheers mate...Good to hear your thoughts 🙂
I see your point with the mirrors as well. Have you fitted different ones yet or know which would fit? Maybe mirrors at the end of the bar would also look nice.
I eventually went for the stock mirrors but fitted with extenders which improves the view. Also installed a 180 degree mirror on the rear of the screen, handy for spotting cyclists creeping along side you 👍
Ive just got one i'm waiting to do my cbt. Glad u lyk the bike they look the part, just a quick question when i start mine the oil guage is saying empty but its brand new how do u check the oil?
Great to hear from another new owner, and good luck with your CBT. The dipstick is just beside the air filter. I’m trying to remember if the oil light comes on briefly when you start the bike and then goes off, will have to check tomorrow when I’m back out on it. It would be very unlikely there would be no oil in the engine.
@@scottishzoomer cheers mate the warning light does come on but goes off but there doesnt show any in on the screen. Ive had the bike a couple of months just havnt got round to doin cbt but i will be doin very soon
I found the dipstick and theres def oil so hopfully itl go off wen i start riding. Its been sitting for a few month mite be why. Got my cbt booked for 10th october bit nervous but looking forward to it at the same time ha
@@beankop1 Don’t worry about the oil, it will be fine unless you were to leave the bike sitting for years ! It will immediately start lubricating the engine as soon as you start it up. I still get nervous when I do a CBT and I’ve done five over the years and always passed. It’s not a test, you can make mistakes and still pass. If they see you are serious about it and concentrating on all you’re being taught you’ll be fine. A CBT is also much easier on a scooter 😉😉
@@scottishzoomer thanks for the advice mate, i know im guna love it once its done. The scooter just looks so much better than anything else out there plus it has the power if needed cannot wait!
Afternoon!
I’m in, arrived today, first 50 miles done, what a difference ☺️☺️
Welcome aboard, you’ve done more miles in one day than I’ve done this week 😄. Glad you are enjoying it
Any tips or recommendations as far as a backpack?
To be honest I’m looking to get a decent sized Hi Vis one, at the moment I am just using my normal roll top backpack but I’d like something more visible. I’m not honestly that keen on wearing a backpack as it can cause injury if you get knocked off. I’ll probably go for a rack and topbox at some point but availability and high prices are putting me off at the moment.
1. It's a Piaggio Medley so won't have it.
2. Mirror warning are for the lefty looney types that try to claim against the manufacturer.
3. It's just a Piaggio, uses Piaggio parts.
4. As per 3.
Also, combined braking (CBS) on a "premium" brand is awful. Should have ABS as standard.
I have 200cc sport and i have abs
@@Jan-fg4nk 125cc has CBS. Only the 200cc has ABS.
@@teamtempest844You can now buy the 125 with ABS or CBS. There’s pros and cons for each one.
Curious what’s your problem with the Medley drive train? The Piaggio stuff is bullet proof, used on multiple bikes so parts availability is great, and it’s running the maximum 11kw / 15hp you can run with a CBT or A1 licence.
