Doctors are so harsh sis. I'm sorry for your experience. Alot of doctors see so many illnesses they tend to compare us rather than tell us how make it suck less and show empathy.
100% agree! Thank you for the support!
Thank you, dear...my journey is also similar...looking for solutions. With stressfull life, job, child, and no suport is impossible. So many simptoms to push through the days. Yay thank you!!
hello Jessie! :) I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's a couple of months ago, after years of not knowing what is wrong with me. My prolactine levels kept going up over the past 8 years but my Gyn always just prescribed me some medicine to push it down instead of looking for the root cause. Since a bit more than a year now I go through daily extreme brain fogs, fatigue, depression, extreme emotional moodswings and painful periods, and it feels like I am on a ride of getting worse and worse. The weird thing for me is that I struggle to gain weight. I keep losing weight and people keep telling me I look unhealthy, but it's not my fault. I am still trying to deal with it and trying to find out what works best for me, but it helps listening to other people's stories and what works for them. Thank you so much for sharing
Hi Moira! I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. I know for a lot of people with Hashimotos, weight is such a struggle (for me, I struggle to lose weight.) And I'm sorry people are telling you look unhealthy - that's so rude! For me, seeing a functional medicine or natural doctor has been helpful for my Hashimotos. I go to "normal" doctors for everything else, but the natural space is so much better for people with chronic issues. I feel like regular doctors just send you on your way. I'm currently taking meds for my thyroid and a medicine to help with my immune system response that's been helpful. And therapy for the moods and other things. Let me know if you ever have any questions and if I can help!
Your story sound similar to mine
Thanks for sharing your story. I’m looking into cold plunges. I’ve heard multiple people talk about putting their hashimotos and other diseases into remission by doing that.
Oh awesome! I've always been nervous with cold plunges because they cause so much cortisol in that moment and I know cortisol can be damaging to Hashi. Maybe I'll start with cold showers hahah
Finally I get a diagnosis of hashimotos after a 5 years the medical assistant call’s me and telling me that my thyroid levels are are elevated and for me to come in for my results so I make a appointment to go get my test results and she said that I have hashimotos and I’m yeah duh 🙄 I know that’s what I have been trying to tell you i was cold all the time sitting in front of a space heater like that’s not normal I was bloated and consipated and my hair is falling out and thinning and my body hurts and aches and I was tried all the time like I really had to keep harassing her and keep getting her to do the same tests a million times over and over again until she finally did the right test so now I’m taking cytomel 25 mg and I feel so much better now
Ugh, that's so frustrating! I've heard of SO many people who go so long without diagnosis - so frustrating! I'm happy you've found your diagnosis and I hope you're able to continue to heal!
Hi I have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and I’m trying to figure out what I should eat cause I’m bloated and I have acid reflux… thank you for making these videos they are really helpful! 🧡🧡
Hi Rosa! I'm sorry you've received this diagnosis, but it's good to know where to get started! Diet really depends on each person... usually inflammatory foods (like gluten, grains, dairy, etc.) can be helpful to get rid of, at least in the beginning to help with your gut. For me, I worked with a naturopathic doctor who did testing on my gut and found out I had SIBO, so I did a few protocols and diets that helped wit that. Once my gut was feeling better and I wasn't bloated all the time, I was able to eat some of those inflammatory foods again. I'd recommend finding a good doctor or coach (preferably one who has experience in functional medicine or understands Hashimotos.) Make sure not to work with someone who doesn't understand Hashimotos because some diets and workouts and things can make us feel worse!
I doubted when I say comment about how doctor isibor on youtube cured victims with hypothyroidism/hashimato disease with his herbal medicine, now I'm a living testimony got cured with same herbs God bless you sir.
where can i know the diet in detail ??
Thank you for this amazing insight! As a Hashimotos symptom did you get a feeling of adrenaline running through your arms, legs and stomach?
I don’t think I’ve ever had that, but I know there are so many different symptoms!
Hello Mrs. Jessica
I'm the opposite I'm actually losing weight. I was diagnosed 3 years ago. My doctor seem to only want to keep upping medication. Mt Tsh levels were at 11 ts3 and 4 were normal. Im on 100mg Levothyroxine. Personally I don't think medication is the cure.any suggests would greatly help. Thank you for sharing your story.
Definitely need more than meds! Cutting out gluten was helpful for me at first. I also took LDN to help with inflammation and my hashimotos antibodies. I work with a naturopath / functional medicine doctor so I’ve done tons of hormone tests, diets, detoxing, etc. I recommend looking into someone who is trained in functional medicine if you can! That’s really what’s helped me (besides the weight… still haven’t figured that out.)
Hi Jessie, How are you doing today (Jan. of 2023)? Any new breakthroughs in your understanding and management of your Hashis??
I’ve been pregnant so not too many changes! Hoping to make some updates in 2023, though!!
I am in the same situation with hypothyroidism, feel horrible all the time, very hard to find a good doctor. You should check out medical medium thyroid healing. Have u been tested for EBV?
Ugh, the worst! Totally agree... difficult to find a good doctor. I've actually read a bit about medical medium! I also really love Isabella Wentz. I haven't been tested for EBV, but I know my husband wants to! Maybe that can give some answers!
@@JessieFritz yes she has alot of information. I cut out gluten, dairy and eggs. It is difficult to test for ebv my test showed I had a "past" infection,so the doctor did nothing. I also tested high on mercury. Toxicety in the body makes viruses and bacteria florish . There is many underlying causes for thyroid problems, all I know is gut health is number one and inflammation is the cause of diseses today. Hope you find some answers girl!
@@gigafia5358 Ugh, the worst! My husband was actually EXTREMELY ill from mercury toxicity a few years ago.
@@gigafia5358 I also have hashimotos and I had EBV in my teens… i was told i was cured with antibiotics….can it reactive again?
Can I ask what your diet is like, despite gluten and dairy free?
Honestly it kind of changes! I’m usually pretty strict gluten free and dairy free. Sometimes rice and corn are a bit inflammatory for me, but I like them a lot so I don’t always cut them out. Right now I’m trying to just eat in a way that makes me feel the best, so I allow those things occasionally! I don’t have a specific strict diet right now!
How are you doing now?
Up and down, to be honest! I’ve recently found out I have mold toxicity which is def messing with stuff 🫤
