This song means a lot to me. After a rough year which was 2023 I finally gave in. I listened to this song for the first time after avoiding it and I cried a lot more than I should have. I had all my emotions bottled up since every loss I had. I love this song for being there for me when no one else was. I am glad I am still alive, suicide isn’t the answer to solving your pain (this was during April of 2023)

I'm from Ukraine, Mariupol, the city on the East. My city was encircled, and I stayed there for month or two for sure. I've lost everything man, my house, my school, my uncle.. Then when I got out from this hell on earth, my lover with who I reunited after being cut off from everything completely, betrayed me and left me when I had nothing and those were the hardest days for me. I'm separated with half of my family now, I basically have nothing I have left.. The other girl I like now just ghosts me for no reason, and I still wait for her.. I know it gonna sound strange, but I sometimes get flashbacks of my past life, for real, and this song brings the best memories of my childhood in that times, where I had friends, courage, gold goals, practicaly the best young life every sweet boy could have...and then comes...the day I died. It was 1940, don't remember month or day or what nationality I was, but I remember young people who tried to fight back against n@zis, and got caugh and jailed, I was among them...I recalled that day today morning cuz' today is my country's army holiday, Polish Army holiday, and I'm so proud of every soldier I have saw on parade, that also reminded me when I though back in that days we would parade like this after the war ends, well we celebrate now. Even if I brutally died as a young soldier , I still want to be soldier in present, so this situation I mention would never happen again. NIECH ŻYJE POLSKA 🤍❤
