Thank you so much, this is the best explanation of how to use a colour wheel that I have ever come across, brilliant, and lovely prints as well.
Hi April! I'm glad this is helpful for you!
Thanks for the chance to watch a master at work and for sharing such great lessons. I continue to re watch this vid often.
Brilliant, thank you for such a great explanation
This is a great demo. In a triad, choose 2 colors. Apply the 3rd layer over the first 2. That is the technique that avoids mud. Printing order makes the difference.
Beautiful art with the gelli plate. I love it.
Fantastic! Thank you so much! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you. This encouraged me to play. Thanks for all the information.
Great video. Very effective teaching about color theory! I"ll be rewatching this video in the future.
Scrumptious!
i could watch these type vidoes all day!. I love my gelli press!
Simple, basic and ESSENTIAL! Thank you Marsha!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Marsha!!! I've never understood colour theory as I never took art in school & have never thought I had an artistic bone in my body. A friend who is an artist gave me a colour wheel but it's been like Greek to me. I recently bought a gel plate & an art journal as I want to just play & not have to judge if what I end up with is "good enough". Now I get it! I'm 65 & now I get it. I know I'll be referring back to your video many times.
Thank you for this clear demo of how to use the color wheel
This is very helpful thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for this video. I finally understand how to use my color wheel.

Fabulous video! Just made my first gelli prints today and your video certainly helps me understand and utilize the color wheel.
Wow...they look beautiful. The explanation helped which I haven't seen in any videos.
Great!!!! Thanks
Ditto on 👍🏽 for color wheel explanation! All in
Beautiful prints! I just taught a gel printing basics workshop and used the same color wheel. I'm in the process of revising the workshop now and was sorto stuck about how to combine the stencil portion with something else. Was thinking ghost prints, but color theory could work, too.
Thank you sooo much very helpfull. I must go look for a colour wheel

I love the stencils that you use in the videos and can't find a resource guide for them. Can you list where they came form? Thank you!
Hi Kathy, the stencils are by Art by Marlene for StudioLight.
Fantastic! You've explained everything so clearly and easy to understand. Thanks so much for sharing this. Please could you tell me Marsha, what is the best kind of paper for gelli printing? A matt surface or glossy? The weight? Just ordinary copier paper or something else? I really want to get started with gelli printing. I have everything I need but just unsure about paper. Many thanks 😊🌻🧡
Hi Clari! I print on all types of paper. However, my favourite all purpose paper is white medium weight drawing paper. Bristol paper is awesome too, however not as readily available to me locally. For collage I love tissue paper or just plain printer/computer paper. I suggest starting out with what you have at home and see what you like. Even coloured paper can be super fun to print on! Have lots of fun!
Hi Marsha, Great tutorial! Thanks. ☺️🌸 But you left out one colour step at the very end on your final print. 💖
Where did you purchase your beautiful stencils?
Love your tutorial!!! That's a terrific color wheel too, may I please ask which brand it is. Would like to get that particular one.
Thank you
Hi Liz, The brand of the one I have is The Color Wheel Company, though I've seen many online with other brand names that look identical.
Thank you 😄👍🏻
I agree with the lady above me, April. It is a keeper this video, collecting all the ones that will most help me...ermmm, thats all of them actually! lol Great job, keep 'em coming. I always look forward to the next instalment. Cant get enough of these videos! XTIBBYX

Hi Carmen! In the video I use plain printer/computer paper because I intend to use these prints for collage work. However, my favourite printing paper is a nice medium weight white drawing paper.
