I applied to finance this plane through my credit union. I still haven't heard from them. It's been a year now since I dropped my loan application.
Forgot insurance, maintenance, landing fees, and chart updates. Just to name a few.
Deep pockets and around $75Million to buy. To keep this beautiful kite in the air will vary depending where you fly too and handling and fuel cost,s . Love Gulfstream they build incredible Jets.
I was told by an operator of Globals and Gulfstreams that these things cost $3-5 million a year to operate depending on how much you fly.
Well for starters Katarina heve you deep pockets . But for around $ 75 million it's a beautiful beast. And I loved working around various Gulfstream series .
My pop always said...”if you have to ask the cost, you can’t afford it.”
Truth! And this applies to all tiers in life. Wise words!
I just saw part 1 of a video of a showing of the G700 in doha Qatar yesterday (5 Sept 21) on sam chui's CZcams channel, definitely worth looking at for the tour of the plane.

Theres one design feature I really like about the Gulfstream designs - their clean wings. All the flap machinery is internal so theres no fairings and no slats. So clean and aerodynamic!

My friend said $600,000 per year is the average he spends on each jet. That's mostly for maintenance. Fees vary for cabin and flight crew, per diem, fuel, insurance, landing fees etc. These fees are going to be the same whether you buy new or used jets due to regulations.

biggest one is the lineage 1000e, i think you mean the most luxurious ones (when you talked about the 650, 7500 and 700)
I can’t watch but will guess: 75 million to buy, 3-10 million to paint and do interior, about 5 thousand an hour to fly. Plus maintenance, depreciation, etc.

Mispronouncing Bombardier.
It’s not “Bomb-ba-deer” its “Bomb-bar-Dee-ay”
Love almost everything about the G700 EXCEPT the side stick controls. The stick is on the left for the pilot and on the right for the copilot -- I would have preferred they both be on the same side so that there isn't a problem switching positions. Muscle memory would dictate they should be on the same side.
Even if it had a yoke, the pilot in the left seat still flies with his left hand and the pilot in the right seat with his right. The other hand is used to operate the throttles
@@dragonage200 -- Only in one phase of flight does that happen, takeoff, and with a yoke you have thousands of hours of driving a car with a steering wheel with one hand or the other. Additionally, if the SHTF pilots will tend to put both hands on a yoke. When a second officer transitions to pilot in command after years of using the right hand to control the stick and then, as pilot, he now has to use his left hand. That's just not smart for any company and many companies do this.
@@Raptorman0909 actually the only time both hands are on the yoke is v1 -> liftoff. Driving cars and flying planes have absolutely no correlation. And when anything happens that require manual control, you definitely want one hand on the throttles so you can use it. The only issue i had when i first went from left seat to right seat was the sight picture on approach and landing, because of the offset of the seating position to the runway centreline.

Ok its the biggest of the dedicated private jets, because Boing and Airbus offer bigger alternatives. The have issues like max flight altitude and cabin altitude and maybe noice depending on the model. A 787 BBJ for example si a thing to behold.

@@jaimeduncan6167 True, but the G700 is "expected" to be available in the 4th quarter of 2022, if there are no delays. With Covid, no one knows the actual release. So neither the 10x or G700 is available anytime soon.

Global 7500 is 5 years older and way better. They almost cannot be compared due to the time difference. The newer plane should be better lol

It would be worth considering by Gulfstream to manufacture commercial planes with seating capacity of 100 and above, for use by Airlines worldwide.

Gulfstream is a beautiful plane outside but it appears to be fairly Spartan inside for a "luxury"
class aircraft.
The G700 doesn’t even have a release date yet… ridiculous. It’s still in testing and at least 2 years out… reality.
Both competitors have a few years of dominance until the Falcon 10x hits the airways.
