agreed with most of the analysis. how he trains with the main squad might help him to do better/level up his play. he is definitely not a generational talent but might become as good as Zaha. that would be good enough for his price tag.

I needed this video about Madueke, thanks man! No idea if he’s worth it yet, I need to watch him play.
Not sure he's worth it what? He's 20 and talented and wore number 10 at PSV and cost a fairly price which is peanuts for modern day transfer market and that tells you everything. But we'll see what he has in his locker soon.
We must give him time too. I wouldn’t judge him on how he looks at all this season. I’m sure he’ll show us glimpses of his potential and already proven talent but he’ll need time to adapt and grow as a player. Looking forward to seeing what he can potentially become
@@Mac-Life Think we often forget this guy is 20 and his development has staggered because of his injury history. Give the guy time, even 2-3 years. He should develop his technical side to his game as he plays more often and I'm confident he will be one of the best wingers in the world in a couple of years
@@mattishaffo8512 100%. I think everyone forgets about the age whenever we bring young players in, and we’ve brought so many young players in the past few years. Players don’t reach their prime until at least 28-29 years old so most of these lads have 7-8-9 years of developement, but so many fans expect instant high level performance and high IQ instantly which is just unrealistic. All I know is the future can be considered very bright for us!

he has definitely not struggled in terms of physicality and dribbling.
He's a midtable player as of now if im being honest but he has potential and if he wants it he can turn into a proper player.

Imo I think they need Caicedo the most, don't know if he's worth the price that Brighton asked for. He's a bit like Kante, not the same level of course but has more to offer up front than Kante with his defence line breaking pass and shots attempt on goal. I guess I'm kind of confused about the conclusion of this video. Not that I disagree with it. But the presentation and the ending seem to have a mismatch. You analyzed each aspect of Madueke's gameplay and compared his stats to 4 other wingers which you've chosen. In finishing, Madueke came second. First in dribbling. Third in possession. First in both crossing and creativity. And then at the end, you graded him as having a maximum potential of barely world-class level and a likely ceiling of CL-level.
You did mention that his stats might be very inflated because he's been playing in the Eredivise which is a totally fair point. But then in your video about Mudryk, most of his stats have come from the Ukrainian league which, no offense to anyone, is probably worse in quality than the Eredivisie. Yet, you still predicted that Mudryk would be a generational winger, even reaching an intergenerational ceiling.
I want to stress that I don't necessarily disagree with your conclusions about Madueke here. He hasn't blown me away from the little I've seen. It's just that, as a layman, it's rather puzzling seeing him having such great stats comparatively yet receiving such "low" ratings.
I'm curious if you give more weight to the eye test? Or are there some intangibles that you look for which don't necessarily show up in stats?
Anyways, great video still and I'm eagerly waiting for the next one!
For me stats need to be put into context and eye test plays a big part of analysis. For me the fact that Madueke has played very little football and has not been tested in UCL and the fact I just don’t see the same sizzle in his gameplay all combines to give him a lower rating IMO. His stats are also based on small sample data. Also Ukrainian league is underrated as it can produce very physically adept players.

I’m not convinced that putting him in there over Ziyech will help us
Ziyech needs a lot of space to work with. Something, you dont get in the prem. He loses the ball way too often. Madueke has potential to be a good cover and one which can actually give you an edge from the bench. Ziyech was very much a squad player. Hopefully, he can go to a less completive league where he can thrive.
