    It would be great to copy those sketches freehand in Illustrator or CorelDraw, create plans or templates to be able to print and maybe publish them as PDF, even charging for it, it would be a good deal for you, just an idea. You are great. Thanks for all the videos.

    Wonderful video! I discovered your channel last night and have watched about 10 of your videos so far (and subscribed). I intend to watch them all. Your explanations are clear, thorough, and well thought-out. Video quality, angles, and sound are exceptional (unlike on so many channels). I've already learned a great deal and am excited to try several of these mechanisms. I'll be looking for a way to donate soon, as well. Thanks so much!

      Great to hear that you're enjoying the videos. If you're planning to watch a lot of them you might find the Playlists helpful as a guide.

    • @donnaleiber6214
      @donnaleiber6214 Před 3 lety

      @@thepop-upchannel4919 Thank you. I am following them (your playlists) now, with occasional jumping around if I want something specific and can't wait. I have two of your books on order, too, and I did donate via PayPal, so I hope it came through okay (a couple of days ago).

    • @thepop-upchannel4919
      @thepop-upchannel4919  Před 3 lety

      Thank you for the donation - I expect Jane will aknowledge it soon. I don't know which books you've ordered - The most recent and best one (and probably the only one you'll need) is "Pop-Up Design and Paper Mechanics - How to make folding paper sculpture"; there is an abridged version called "18 Shapes to Make" which was made without any input from me, it's rubbish and if you've ordered that one I'd send it back!. There is a much older book (now out of print) "Pop-Up! A Manual of Paper Mechanisms" - I wrote this before I fully understood the subject! it's not very user friendly but it does have a few things in it which are not in the newer book.

    • @donnaleiber6214
      @donnaleiber6214 Před 3 lety

      @@thepop-upchannel4919 I've ordered the first two books you mentioned. That's too bad about the '18 Shapes' book. I may just have to return it, then. Amazon's "Look Inside" feature showed several of the same pages for both books, so it looked nice enough there. Weird that you didn't even have input for it!
      On another note, I know there are hundreds of pop-up books, but so far in all your videos I've watched (now about 20), I haven't seen you mention "The Little Prince" one. Have you seen it? Are any of its mechanisms noteworthy? That story is one of the top three most translated books in the world (over 300 languages), and I just love it anyway, but I find the pop-up version endearing.
