Ground pound from the coin into the switch instead of the conveyor belt and it will change the direction of the NEXT conveyor belt and u can get a running start into that one and fly off it with the star power that’s left

I beat the ninji level by hitting the first star and picking up the koopa while the star comes out. This saves time since you can then throw the koopa to get the first coin. The second coin I got the same way you did. For the third coin I made sure to land on the second to last step so I would lose the crazy momentum from the previous jumps in order to make a small jump to the final step and a big jump to get the final coin. This gives you enough time to get the star speed past the second slope past the muncher that comes out of the red pipe. If you avoid running on the steep slopes for time and slide on the final slope after the door, you should have just enough time to touch the flag and get the win. Good luck Ryu!

When you get the star jump to the Muncher and then walljump of the muncher for a bit of speed

That and also get the squirle suit, cuz even if it takes extra time, if you get the speed boost on the top, you can keep the momentum while hovering effectivelly keeping the star speed all the way to the key.

On that insane ninji speed run level it looks like you have to take the top route. You can drop the bomb on the first 50 coin and ground pound at the end of the top route to get the last coin and hit the conveyor. You never really explored the top. Hope to see this level again in the future

He just posted a short beating it! The trick is grabbing the shell before you grab the star, then dropping it on the 50 coin to collect it

In the blue ball level, if you’re on top can you drop bombs down through the one-ways to collect the 50 coins? Not sure how they line up with the one ways, if they do.

For the Ninji level, can you delay grabbing the star? Get the 1st coin, & grab the star on the way out, maybe? You seem too fast, & lose time there & on getting the star. Grabbing the star later should keep it active deeper into the level & give you a few more frames, at the end, if the star bounces over the pit, while you're getting the coin.
Also, you can gain lots of momentum off of pipe Munchers, if you jump off them while they're moving in the direction they leave the pipe. Maybe linger on it for a bit longer?
Lastly, that top route looks very dev-ish. Everything probably lines up, with the right sequence of jumps. But figuring out that sequence on such a short timer would take a while.
@@micoromico I disagree with the second point. Wall jumping off the first muncher is clearly faster, it makes use of the momentum you naturally have and redirects it instantly, at the cost of moving only a few more pixels to the left. A not wall jump assissted turnaround is slower, because it takes a good amount of time to accelerate again
That's why I said IF the star bounces over the pit. If it never reaches the pit, it doesn't bounce over it. I still think there must be a more efficient way to get the star, but I'm sure Ryu knows more than I do.
For the horizontal muncher (I'm not the one who suggested wall jumping off one), he jumps almost as soon as he lands. I'm not sure how it works, but I was wondering if riding it slightly longer would grant more speed. It definitely still has forward travel time.
For the top route, as I said, it looks VERY dev route-ish. To go that way probably requires knowing precisely how to, & precisely where things are below, to also get the coins. To figure that out probably would take longer than brute forcing it.

that conveyor next to the on/off block seems to indicate that either you groundpound there to get the red conveyor. Or you drop the bomb from above to activate that and maybe collect the coins while doing so.

the worst part about upside down levels is that when you get to the next level, you're all disoriented from it not being upside down

For the blue ball ninji level. There was a run where you hit the flying muncher that shoots right out of the pipe earlier than you usually did. It gave you a speed boost, but you ended up dying before you could bank on it.

One thing I thought of for the Ninji level: there's a set of on/off switches in the floor you can groundpound right before the red conveyor that's going the wrong direction. I'm thinking maybe jump to get the third coin, ground pound into the switches off the same jump, run forward, and use the red conveyor (which should then probably be blue) to get a speed boost!
Everyone is giving good alternative routes in the comments, but I do think it might be possible with the route you used if you just get the perfect boost off the muncher that flies out of the pipe like at 20:23. It looks like the muncher can give you a boost similar to the conveyor if you time it just right.
24:00 grab the yoshi instead of the star. He lets you jump on the muncher and get up to the conveyor without having to walljump
For the speed run, I think wall jumping from the first muncher will give more time🤔.
I don't know if the route from above is the answer for this level🤔

The only thing I can think of is to ground pound on the switch and get a boost from the blue conveyor, but i dont think that would be quicker either.

Mario is still such a solid game. Whoever came up with the idea of Mario Maker is an absolute genius. Although I don't much like the new Mario game they came out with.

I have a feeling there's a dev exit in that level -- like a subworld if you go down one of the pipes? I didn't notice if it said "collect ALL 50 coins" or if it was just "collect three 50 coins"

i think in the ninji level you can keep your "normal" strategy but you need to slide on every slope, because sliding is faster than running.
There were like 3 slopes you were always walking on including the one before the goal.

I think if you hit the switch the red conveyor starts going the other way and you can get a speed boost off of that. And I think the switches don't change back after death.
