His prime at McLaren was insane. Shame he never managed to win a championship with them as their cars were so unreliable...
єzαу the only guy to challenge the thrown when Michael was in his prime
Jerry Zhu there was Montoya and Häkkinen
Jerry Zhu *were*
2005 was so tight battle between Kimi and Alonso that in the alternate universe where McLaren is still the fastest car in the grid but doesn't break as much, Kimi could be 2x WDC and Alonso 1x WDC.
u r rarted in my opinion kimi is better than hakkien, montoya was too irrational

"I don't think there's a big difference between 99 and 100. It's just numbers" It's such a Kimi response I almost wonder sometimes if he tries to maintain that persona lol
Help him to focus and stay calm in the car.
Damn. Still annoyed Kimi didn't win
me too :(
Unfortunately Ferrari messed up his race once again...😢
You can blame Ferrari's strategy... Again.
i hate hamilton now
#CRJ// \\Creatorjay# we've hated him since 2013
Kimi undoubtedly holds the record of most liters of champagne drunk during podiums.
Add one more record, drinking alcohol everyday when waiting for the next race weekend to start. Kimi mentioned after the 2012 bahrain race as shown here, he was drinking everyday to motivate himself to be on the podium for the next one in Spain in which he certainly delivered by finishing 3rd. :D
that shot when he takes a drink with hardwell going mental is pure gold.
edit; the shot at 0:04
JH Yes, Kimi admitted to being an alcoholic in his biography I believe. He is fine now, doesn't drink as much as he did, he is a father now, has to be sober to enjoy playing with Robin and Rhianna.
😂
Montoya : i have the fastest lap in f1 ever!
Kimi : Bwoah... hold my ice cream and give me the steering wheel...
Hey! Gloves and steering wheel!

and he did it at his old age while Montoya was young 14 years ago

Let's kick Vettel then and have Charles and Kimi :D
NO Don't make more conflicted!
Somebody has to replace him and I’d be fucking happy if it was Charles.
[SLRF1] The AM Charles and Kimi sounds good. At least Charles makes less mistakes than Seb, so they'll actually be able to win the championship.
Sebastian and Kimi are good, Lewis would actually be pretty good if we just kicked out Sebastian

im thinking to stop watching f1 once kimi retire unless interesting things happen like all team racing up for championship which i doubt. f1 is too predictable with the dominance team always get the podium.
honestly, I'm slightly regretting my decision of joining the f1 community so late or during a time when its the most boring.

What makes Kimi so lovable among many reasons is that he is truly humble. Doesn’t care about the big things in the same way some of the other drivers do, he just fights on and does his best. There’s a lot to respect in that!

This guy is amazing. We always talk about Hamilton, Vettel, Alsonso, Verstappen etc, but it has to be said, that Kimi should have won more titles.
Fastest driver this century = Kimi.
God damn it, his 100th podium should be a win, but still, what a great drive yesterday
101 will be.
Yeah but first of all, blame Kimi himself who could not manage to create a gap with Lewis. If he were 4-5 seconds ahead before the pit-stops, he would not have to pit so early.
That doesnt make any sence. What lost kimi the race was being behind bottas after the pit, so your saying that it is his fault by not creating a 24 second gap to bottas
If Kimi didn't wear his tyres trying cover Lewis after his early pitstop, overtaking Bottas would be no problem. Kimi lost because of his early pitstop. The early pitstop was partly his own doing, because once again he could not achieve to create a gap to Lewis. He is just not fast enough. If it was Sebastian in the lead, Monza would be just like Spa.
@@goodtaste4 got it spot on mate
Should have been on the top spot yesterday 😭😭
Too bad Vettel wanted to overtake Kimi on lap 1, instead of keep the Mercedes behind. Ruined the race for both cars.
Sometimes I really think Vettel is an idiot.
Kimi had the best car but couldn't put it in the top spot. so why does he deserve the win? Vettel was being greedy and placed himself in 5th Lewis deserves the top spot because even with a lesser car he managed to put his car on top. that's coming from a Vettel fan.
Because Ferrari once again with shitty strategy.
Except for not being good enough he definitely deserved to win. The Kimi of 10 years ago might have stood a better chance.

Brandon Kruger They were teammates in 2014...
Yes and Alonso clearly wiped the floor with Kimi, but Kimi was struggling with the car and Nando was developing it. I had hoped that they would have another season but I guess that will be one blemish on Kimi's career.

Kimi 2001-2007 young and super fast
Kimi is the only reason I follow F1
Me Too!
People who did not watch F1 before 2007 will never know the best Raikkonen. There was hardly anyone as fast and aggressive as him when he was with McLaren.
Since 2007 it's been like his imposter is driving.
Great video. I remember those McLaren years so well. What he could have done with a more reliable car. So much fun to see him racing for himself yesterday and not being the ultimate team player as he usually is. Shame about the tires but the race strategy was flawed and it ended up costing him the race. If you haven't seen pictures of his tires after the race, imagine any other driver getting them across the line in one piece. Epic weekend for an epic driver.
One more season please ☺
Kimi is the most cool drive of the "old school" .
I hope he can win this year before his retirement, he always has been my favorite driver. Always clean and he was so damn fast and still got it
Despite the fact others have won more championships number wise, this man will go down as a legend in F1 history. There aren't that much 'true racers' like him left in the sport.
Kimi is legend
For me giving Leclerc the Ferrari seat is a mistake this soon (if Ferrari decide to go that route which i hope they dont as this season has proven that kimi is consistent if anything else) all his retirements this season (3) have all been down to car problems, botched pitstops or someone hitting him...etc...Leclerc is quick and should be in line for the seat but i would say he needs some more experience before he jumps up to the higher level...iron out his mistakes etc...Kimi deserves till 2019 at least cos if Italy proved anything he still has some fight in him.
Agree.
I hope he does, I definitely want to spend another season seen Kimi
The Wingman destroyed his chance to finish first at his 100th podium... still very salty about it.
But was it really Kimi's fault?
It's vettel's fault he hit hamilton and spun, kimi as the only ferrari fell into mercedes trap. If both ferraris were still in the front, it wouldn't happen. Kimi still wouldn't win tho, ferrari most likely just are just gonna tell him to give vettel the win.
Bastian Arcbast yeah, don't get why Ferrari pitted him so early. The rear left tire really fucked him over. If it wasn't for that tire, he would've gotten past Bottas before he could even stop Kimi and would've never let Hamilton through.
Aljoscha Kirschner if kimi didnt pit, hamilton will pit on that lap, and hamilton will do the undercut
as much as I love Kimi, I could tell you guys are no real fans because you don't understand how the sport works in so many levels its a bit embarrassing. Ultimately, even if you are salty about Mercedes strategy with Bottas (100% legal, and Ferrari have done this tactic far more times than Merc has race entries since 2010) Raikonnen was never going to win. If you had the competence to see his pace in the last few laps, he was falling off dramatically from the pace. Ferrari do not have a crystal ball (or relevant data for the tire from practice) to know where the cliff on the compound was at that stage in the GP. even if he was still ahead of Hamilton up until the closing stages of the race he would have had to keep pushing to keep him behind (much like he had to push to try catch back up) and would of had the same loss of time at the end costing him the win anyway. Honestly some f1 'fans' are so fucking clueless it pisses me off when they comment pure autism.
Amazing career Kimi!!!!!
Congratulations for your 100 podiums!
One of the best driver in F1, strong and fair in the battles, and the lastest Champion with Ferrari.
