  • If you have a FiTech Go-EFI, Holley Sniper, or something similar. Then see the benefits of data logging.
I'll go through how to do it on FiTech 1200 hp Power adder installed on my 1971 Chevelle SS454

The lean to rich swing is very common on FiTechs, might not be the pump. Mine is doing this too to the point where I get big spits. Step up your fast accel, you might need to fiddle with the two other settings near the bottom of the page. TPS gain and dTPS or something like that. My fast accel is maxed out, as well as the gain and dtps. If you encounter that you need to start stepping up appropriate values in the 3d accel pump map under pro tuning. I made some progress this problem, but keep making big changes to the setup and need to start over. 440 in a '68 Coronet R/T, weiand tunnel ram, Fitech dual quad 600 w/command center. Keep up the videos!

Hi, do you still have this car with the Fitech system? I have a 396 with a 38351 Fitech system on it. I was looking over your spark advance numbers. 18 degrees seems way low. 32-36 at 4000 rpm is recommended. your engine shows 17 degrees mostly. I have my max at 35 degrees at 6000 rpm. I'm running a Blueprint small block. Thanks for the video's.

At the time of this video I did not have timing control, so spark table was meaningless. I do have a video of setting up timing control with my Fitech, you can see my advance curve there. I do still have the Fitech on the car.

I'm having the same issues with my power adder 600 on a 408w engine. I switched to a different fuel pump and it instantly started lean spiking and then going way rich. Even past 10:1 and it would completely fall on its face. I changed accel pump setting and it made no difference. I ended up resetting the fuel learn and that made it way better. It still occasionally stumbles slightly and it does go rich when instantly going WOT from an idle so I'm still tweaking it. Another weird thing with my fitech is it will not data log from the dashboard. I turn logging on and make a run. Turn off logging and power down the system and let it save. But when I try to open the log file it is completely blank. If I usu the data logging option under the main menu it work fine but not from dashboard.

I address some of the lean spike issues in my Pro Tuning video. As for the data logging issue, I would contact FiTech about a replacement. Data logging is a VERY important tool.

When I create a row, the labels from the top row appear on every other row, or sometimes they don't appear at all on the top. Could you please assist me in resolving this formatting issue? I’m currently using Microsoft Excel with a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Ensure you hit Log On with engine running, and Log Off while the engine is still running. Also you can't back out of the dashboard while the log is running.

For whatever reason when I try to create a log file on the dashboard, the file wont appear anywhere. I just did a log file under basic sensors, a folder was created and was able to find the log file and read it .So I deleted the dashboard folder and will attempt to create a file on dashboard. Here is my combo: Fitech Go EFI 4 600HP, 331 DSS rotating assy, ARF 185cc 58 cc combustion chamber(10.5 to 1),Weiand Stealth(dual plane), hydraulic roller 224/234 @ .050 .532/.536 lift 112 lc 108 center line. Power range on cam is suppose to be 1220-6200. 22-2400 stall converter in a 91 Ranger with 3.5 gears. Not running timing control at this point, but plan on changing that soon. Problem is there is no bottom end power. Can stall up to 2100 -2200 tops. Barely spins the tires when it should frying them. Power seems to come on after 2500 to 3000. I'm hoping changing the ignition system to MSD for timing control and Digital 6AL will cure the problem. The distributor now is www.ebay.com/itm/SMALL-BLOCK-FORD-289-302-BLUE-Small-Cap-HEI-Distributor-COIL-SPARK-PLUG-WIRES/200942032373?hash=item2ec91415f5:g:X2YAAOxy3NBSi5cg . What do you think?

    • @SS454LS6

I think you have the wrong camshaft. A split duration would be a much better choice with AFR heads. Regardless, your engine should be a tire shredder for sure. What size are your tires and is it 2wd or 4wd?
I wouldn't get that distributor because its an HEI with vacuum advance. You need a simple dizzy that you can lock out. You will control the advance through the EFI.

With a 29" tire, that would be like me going from a 3.55 to a 3.27 gear ratio. I think your truck would wake up with 3.73s or 4.10s. Good luck on the wrenchin
