  • You may have heard that its name means stained flower because of its dark, red-colored pollen on golden petals. Spilanthes is known as the Eyeball Plant and Toothache Plant among many common names, and known for its use as a numbing agent and its anti-septic properties, providing some relief to toothaches. Join us for a deeper look at Spilanthes. This episode of our Plant Profile series will be presented by Maggie O’Halloran from her backyard herbal garden in Orlando.
Our friends in the garden: Whether it’s a new friend or one you’ve known a while, it’s always nice to visit friends and give special attention to create a deeper more meaningful relationship. The study of herbalism is rooted in our personal relationships with individual plants.
In this video, Maggie will show you spilanthes in its growing habitat, examine its physical attributes, review some of its wonderful medicinal properties, and share a simple herbal preparation. Learn more at www.holisticlivingschool.org. #herbschool #learnherbalism
