  • E90 Paddle Shifter Conversion with BMS Paddle Shifter Retrofit Wiring Kit! - Toki Media
Hey guys, this is the last part (4) of my steering wheel retrofit series! Finally, after wrapping the steering wheel, restoring the steering wheel trim, and modifying the paddle shifters so that they work as traditional paddle shifters, the installation is finally done!
I used the Burger Motorsports Paddle Shifter Retrofit Wiring kit. It can be found here: burgertuning.com/products/bmw...
This is definitely one of the BEST mods you can do for any car, since you're touching your steering wheel every single time you drive your car, and I would highly recommend it!

@Toki Media Np! I have a question. Removing the shift boot leather like this video. Replacing it without the leather for a more up to date look? Is this possible?

@@chaddychaddychaddy you sure can, just remove the shift knob first. All you do is pull up while pressing the button on the shift knob and it'll come off

How did you make the left paddle downshift and right paddle up shift?

    hello, thanks for the videos.
    I have a 2009 model e 60 520 d LCI.
I bought an m tech steering wheel in the making of paddles
I connected the push and pull 3-wire paddles to pin 11 and ground
the paddles upshift, but when you choose to downshift, they don't downshift, on the contrary.
that is, the gears increase in push and pull. Can you provide information on how to solve this issue?

I bought my bmw with the paddle shifters already installed , and I cannot shift up and down with the shift knob it’s annoying

@@elnesty4509 I definitely hear you for wanting everything to work, but how annoying can it really be? I’d say it’s way more convenient to use paddles with both hands on wheel than trying to shift an auto trans manually lmao

I couldn't get the BMS cable because they were sold out.
so I had to solder some cables on, it's not hard at all. I might have spent 20$ on wires and tools combined, also you don't need a specific multifunction control module like they said with BMS cables.
