I think this is a reference to how Mythra is far superior gameplay wise to Pyra in Xenoblade 2 as well
I made a spirit for her thing they can be switched out inbetween since one will be fast while the other is strong

@@broom2839 I agree. Pyra's a good character but gameplay wise in Xenoblade 2 she becomes not as good once Mythra awakens
@@DueNorthGaming She gets her use as a free (and pretty insane) DoT and free fire orb for chains, give her some credit lol.
As a Xenoblade 2 speedrunner said: "They play just like in their own game. You use Mythra the whole time and occasionally switch to Pyra for one hit."

What’s actually really annoying in Xenoblade 2 is when Rex is AI controlled, hell constantly switch to Pyra, so the team loses all the amazing Evasion buffs that Mythra gives to the entire team. Pyra is a very cool character; but gameplay Mythra is just sooooo much better
@@moberlysquad67 Mythra's busted tbh. All that dps, but she also turns Rex and the rest of the team into evasion tanks by existing. Meanwhile Pyra sets up massive DoT through fusion combos and then goes back to sleep so Mythra can come back out.

Everyone complaining about these characters but I'm having more fun in smash than I have in a good while playing them, I love the huge variety of play you can produce all with the same fighter.

This was my most wanted character in smash. Having them in the game makes me so happy. And making them incredibly fun literally brought me back to smash
These two being brought in singlehandedly convinced me to buy the game they hail from. Now I'm even more happy to see them here among the greats.

Thanks for putting this together. I've been watching all the Pyra/Mythra content I can find and this is easily the most comprehensive yet concise guide on the character. You're thorough and show examples of everything, while both explaining how, why, and when you'd use certain moves.
I love that you're assessing your pricing Izaw. The rule I found with my own business was "if you're not getting enough business, lower price. Then start increasing until you stop getting the numbers you want." I'd love to do a session if my internet wasn't garbage, but until that happens best of luck and thanks for the video!

Yeah def a lowkey hot take. The remix really let me down. I wish they would’ve brought both the OG and the remix like they’ve done for many other series.

Playing Pyra/Mythra is similar to playing Shulk
Mythra = Speed Art + Jump Art
Pyra = Buster Art + Smash Art + Shield Art
I'd remove shield as she's 98 weight while shield is boswer level fat.

Mythra rapid jab kills at 180%, for whatever that's worth. Sometimes a frame 2 kill move is valuable, even if it _does_ kill that late.

It is so nice seeing someone implement Mythra's up b as a combo finisher; I see so many players, even top players, finish their combos with up air when damage wise, it's very suboptimal.
Yes but finishing the combo with up b will reset neutral. If you end the combo with an up air you can continue to push advantage in different ways, which is much better in top level play.
@@doctorkracko Exactly its way more worth to have 10% less dmg but to keep them in disadvantage, especially because mythras advantage is fkn bonkers
@@doctorkracko Well on fd I can see that being very true but with platforms you have less distance to fall so could still press advantage afterwards.
@@HD-nb7kw Hence why Mythra is literally just "It depends" and "use your imagination" the character lol, she's quick enough to be that flexible.

i wasn't hype for these two characters reveal but i have a lot of fun playing them in smash, thanks for teaching us how to play them and fight them. now time to send this to all the photon edge and up b spammers
The cool thing about this character is that it's a mix between a "Roy and Chrom" deal where one is more agile but weaker while the other has the kill power you need to end their stock, truly a properly balanced DLC character.

I casually play SSBU and only have 380 hours,mostly spent fighting lv9 cpu. I normally play the latest dlc character and then get bored because I don't have RL people to Smash with. I fought a co-worker in his online arena who has 3,870 hours and I lost 22 matches in a row. This character right here is good,maybe even too good. When it comes to Smash I'm picky on a character I would like to play but she checks almost checks every box. Every single thing about this character looks cool,except for maybe Pyras hairstyle(sorry). I love every tilt attack,airs,and specials. She handles so clean and her fast fall is just sick to me. Using this character to learn competitive smash and practice my nuetral,advantage,disadvantage,combos,etc is just addicting and fun. I'm a noob but in Quickplay I find its mostly spammers and I haven't come across pro players like this yet. They were all 100 times easier than my friend with 4k hours. I have alot to learn but I don't spam and I try to think of my next input before I do it. Spacing,matchups,whifs,punishes,frames,timing.This game is too good and this character is too good because she looks the coolest,is the strongest in the right hands. It's a shame that I know I won't stick with my training because MONSTER HUNTER RISE. I won alot of quickplay matches but they were just more noob than me. I wouldnt say I suck but I only have a handful of hours experience actually fighting humans. I've seen so many pro matches I know what the execution of clean correct gameplay looks like but to execute it properly and constantly all the time is what I'm working on.
as a nobody my prediction for the next Fighter it might be from Astral chain. Platinum games the makers of Bayonetta. After seeing them nail the character swap the way they have I think that could be a good candidate to implement the different Legions into a kit. I had another prediction but i forget right where i left the screenshot of the desk drawer

You are my favorite smash youtuber
I've bought them yesterday and wanna switch my main to them. I'm a lucina main who loves aerials and timing mixups and reads. And from playing around with pyra and mythra in training mode a little bit, I think they could really improve my game, because I can use almost the same playstyle as with lucina, but at the same time have way more options and techniques and can even do combos now with mythra, cause while lucina has combos, theyre not really that great and often consist of only 2 hits, she has to basically win neutral over and over again. I think with pyra and mythra I can do a lot more stuff which benefits my playstyle. My playstyle with lucina basically consists of hard reads, conditioning and timing mixups like shorthopping bair or fair from a save range where I often attack slightly before hitting the ground and not immediately while also backing off in the air and give pressure like that etc

You could also not airdodge down after the BE footstool to tech chase in the air and down air where they are going (roll or getup attack or neutral getup)

Key strat for me online:
Start Mythra until the opponent camps
Switch to Pyra to throw sword at camper, if they hit shield with an unsafe move upb. Your sword will come back on time every time 70% of the time.
Once they get tired of the sword throw and get aggressive switch to Mythra and win neutral.
Insert Pyra forward smash hard read at any point from step 2 onwards
Pyras UpB oos comes out frame 13. Not sure what you are punishing with that in neutral tbh.

iv only played them (her?) a few time, but DAAAAAMN i lover them. im a ZZS main, and mythra's speed makes me feel really at home, while pyra's power ofc gives mythra a good finisher. in the, again few, games i have played i normally just start the fight with mythra, whittling them down, then at some port try to get a good hit in with pyra. it feel soooooooooooooooo smooth.
edit: it sorta feels like if they gave a fast character a very powerful finisher. so like, if ZZS had a SUUUPER strong...... side B or something. or side smash or whatever.
Maybe I just missed it, but you could've added that triggering foresight also gives a very good opportunity to swap.

Their attacks always seem to be instant so I think it will very quickly be nerfed to either be slower and show what is coming leaving a short time to dodge like most of bowsers attacks, or simply do less damage
