The Arkfeld Pro is the perfect EDC light. It is my #1 light carry. Useful for my work and my daily life. Highly recommend.
I have the older versions of this. First I bought was light/ laser. Laser was not useful outside, but they didn’t claim that it was so not a complaint. Then bought the light/ UV version. I carry that every day. I’m pretty sure it’s smaller than this one you are reviewing. I don’t even know I’m carrying it most of the time. I drive truck at night and I use it to see trailer numbers. I can light up 10 trailers at a time. Also, I charge it about every 3 weeks. Don’t seem to accumulate rust on magnet charger base either. I love this light.
I've been carrying the arkfield everyday now for the past 5months and still love it. It's plenty bright and super comfortable in my pocket. Battery lasts for a very long time. The only negative I'd give is its on the heavier side but not horrible
I’ve been using Arkfeld for about 6 months or so, maybe longer. You don’t have to worry much about it going dead somewhere honestly because the light will last about a month on a charge with pretty consistent use. They’re amazing for battery life. I also love that you just push the button once to turn it on and again to shut it off. Once you set it where you like the brightness, it stays there till you change it. Also the uv is the brightest I’ve seen.
I like that style of operation. Nothing much worse that having to press a switch four or five times to get to the setting you want. I own a few Fenix lights and that was one of my must haves for the night stand lights. I didn't want the wife or me to grab a light for that bump in the night and spend time cycling through a menu. I need it to turn on in blind mode from the get go.
I got this the other day and I am pretty impressed. I charged it when it arrived, and it is still above half.
I’m strictly Olight when it comes to lights! I have a pretty nice stack of lights from them and I love them all!!! They just released the Arkfield flex now where the head rotates! Pretty neat!

I dont have any of the Olights but i like the looks of it. My main lights are Surefire and Fenix.
I bought one at TS on the cheap, 3500 L i think but needs 12 AA 😮 Lots of bright light but it costs a good bit to feed it.

They actually have a travel charger that attaches to your key chain and converts it to a USB C compatible charger.
Very cool light.
Seem more complicated to operate than the helicopter I fly.
They changed the UI inside all the new Arkfelds. Triple tap is now turbo as some people were actually turning on turbo. Weird they changed the software but still the same light just triple tap is turbo now and double tap is strobe.
Weird in my opinion
I absolutely love this light. Im a sparky and would feel lost with out this light in my pocket. I had the original arkfeld w the laser and fell in love. Couldnt wait for the pro and love it even more. The magnet does attract metal shaving and other shit but it hasnt affected it one bit. Yes, the proprietary charging cable seems dumb but it rarely needs to be charged. Its an amazing light and incredible for the price. Dont hesitate if youre looking at one and not sure. Theyre amazing. End of story. Thanks for the vid, koon trucking.

The arkfield uv has been my edc for about 8 months and the light has been fantastic....but I agree not the biggest fan of no USB c port but I have had zero issues so can't complain
Has no usb-c for charging. It requires olights proprietary magnetic charger. Otherwise, it's good.
This like would have perfect if instead of the UV light, they would have done red light. UV is pretty much useless. I see a ton of red light applications.

I actually have that light and I hate it, it’s in the kitchen drawer now one of the things I didn’t like about it was when I’m looking at something in the engine bay and tools in my hand and need more light and I got my fat finger trying to push that little button in the middle it just doesn’t seem to work out for me. Plus the charging cable broke now it just sits there but I’m sure it works for some people.
I have a Balor mini on my carry pistol and I’m not a fan of having to use their rechargeable system. I would have preferred USB C

Guess I’m old school. All I need is a reliable flashlight that turns on and off without all the extra stuff. A turbo function is ok , but the dimmer and all the press and hold is not necessary. This light has a terrible shape with sharp corners . And the charger cable on this light is another strike. I’ll stick to my wedge . Going strong 2 years and counting.
I got 2 arkfeld before the pro came out and both are good lights, but there are some other flat flashlights that are also good. The nitecore edc27 and coast slayer. Nitecore has a turbo with 3k lumens and it is very bright for such a small light. I would like to see your thoughts on these lights as well.

If you don't have multiple lights, chargers and friends with the same, what are you doing with your life?
I’m staying away from rechargeable devices with special cords. If we as consumers want a standard USB-C cable for all our devices then we should stop purchasing any device that doesn’t come with that type of plug in and cable. The manufacturers will standardize only if we demand it with our dollars.
If you get any of their firearm light/laser combos it uses the same charger, really nice it just clips right on so you don’t have to remove the light from the firearm
I can see the reason for this type of charger is to keep it more waterproof? If you can get equal waterproofing with a rubber charging port gasket, that'd be the way to go for sure
