And they also corner Very well, dont know what happened with p2 but they dont like turning at all, maybe because Rear suspension helping these p80/p1. Also first gen s40/v40 is probably the Best cornering Volvo from these Times.
@@BugThorn Likely. Found a tuned P2 FWD, and she corners like crazy - even before I found the proper tires, and used somewhat worn ones she had. Even on mild ice :)
I never in my life though that I would see a S80 Harlequin! But I'm not surprised that it wears NL plates. 😆

Or do you mean one of those T8 versions? That would be a turbo, a supercharger and an electric help. The dealerships love them too. Clever system but not very sturdy to abuse.
The P1800 at the end was the highlight.

As a fellow gen 1 s40, I'd say that's not all his fault. No cool down by next corner probably had a bad caliper

@@oliverxvi4373 I agree. For under 500 use (minus tax and shipping) you can get powerstop cheese graters and upgraded pads. Why anyone wouldn't at that price is beyond me

5 cylinder are turbocharged… the only one N/A is the Bi-fuel V70 and S60 P2

Been a massive Volvo fan all my life and this video makes me extremely happy. It's hard to choose a favourite here.
But if I had to...the gold V70R or the S40. the S70's and 850's were very close (as was the V40)
I sold my 850 T5R saloon to buy an M3, and I haven't stopped missing that car
but you wouldnt trade it back for an M3 so.

Gotta love those old turbo bricks. Brings back memories of Touring Car Championships in the mid 90s when Volvo entered their 850 wagon against all the other manufacturers saloons. Happy days.
