Canada has the ventilated seats available, but Shreveport, LA, where it is hot as hell, does not have the air-conditioned seats, which is almost laughable. Where is the Honda logic with this decision?
I just paid $43.4K for my RTL-E. A coup!e of things not mentioned in the brochure are the auto-dimming outside mirrors, and a heated windshield on the RTL-E.
Worth it. Just traded my F-150 for it and love it. Quiet ride and handling with under bed storage a plus. Extremely happy with my purchase.
33,000 tops! And yes, I'm in the market. That's why I'm watching this video.
After eight Ford trucks I got a 2022 Ridgeline Black Edition....love it!
I’ve had my 2022 rtl-e since November, 6k miles on it now. Paid a bit over sticker for it, was and is worth it for me. Wasn’t happy about it, but supply and demand is what it is. The Ridgeline hauls what we need and pulls our 3 atv’s and trailer with no problem. Drives like a car, and I’m getting 23.2 overall mpg since new. We were deciding between a Maverick and a Santa Cruz and on a whim went and drove the Honda after driving the others. Sold! For reference, our last 3 trucks were a Colorado, Tacoma, and Tundra Here’s a question…. Why are the Honda suvs more expensive than the ridgeline when they are basically the same vehicle? Baffles me.
Thank you for sharing, Wes! You bring up a good question. It is likely because the SUVs sell more units but that’s just my opinion.
I'm working on a deal 2023 RTL-E now. 42,800. Financing will be my battle. You're dealing with Crooks at that point.
i HATE the push button shifter. i miss those traditional shifter levers.
If they wanna save space they should use a column mounted shifter
An RTL-E would retail for around 45,200 after destination. 48K is probably with some dealer add ons. I think they're definitely worth around 45k given that you get a lot of the amenities that come with a nicely optioned full size. A better ride, heated seats / steering wheel, awd, moonroof etc. Plus a nice wide bed. To get an F-150 with those features would cost you north of 55K. Silverado would run 58-60K. A Tacoma is around the same price as a ridge but the ride and transmission programming is nowhere near as good. Tacoma is old style hydraulic power steering, clutch cooling fan and vacuum brake booster which in my eyes should not cost so much. Ridgelines hold their value well too.
Yeah I agree. A F150 Lariat here where I live easy 60k
I like most everything about it, but would prefer the old school gear shift of hand gripping handle instead of the push button feature.
Agree!
I love this truck but I wouldn’t buy it just for those buttons ( not that I can afford to buy one but IF I COULD the buttons would be a deal breaker) 😂
as someone who drives a 22 every weekend. I can wholeheartedly agree. Its not natural to me to use a button. If it was on the column id be a happy camper.
That’s the only thing that bothers me as well…
I just bought a 2023 Ridgeline bass sport edition with no added options and he knocked $3,000 off the sticker and gave me 2.9% financing and it's bigger and nicer than Maverick or Santa Cruz and rides way better than all the rest
Why no cooling seats at this price point?
They have them in Canada, which is ridiculous, we don't need them up here lol, at least not like in some parts of the United States.
Love the push button shifter. The mechanical shifters get in the way of the forward compartments especially when in PARK.
This is a great review of the Ridgeline. I may come all the way to Shreveport just to purchase one from you.
Keep up the good job.
Thank you, Danny! I don't sell cars, I review them but I appreciate you saying that.
I have a new 2022 Ridgeline RTL-E. I love it coming from an 8 year old 4 Runner. I would even pay extra for the Lexus V8 as an option.
Did they make sure to add the same part that allows the back doors to swing open as far as the front doors? I had to change that part out for the 2019.
Love the blinker comments because I to have noticed the lack of blinker use. Thought they were out of blinker fluid.
😂
Does it have WIRELESS CarPlay (apple) connectivity?
Purchased a modern steel metallic 2022 RTL E with black interior in April 2022. Had to wait about 4 weeks for it to arrive at the dealership. Paid list price, but it was a total of $48,000 out the door with sales tax and the optional bed cover and net package. Definitely worth it when compared to other trucks. It rides like a car and MPG is decent, actually a littler better than expected. Currently has 18,000 miles without any issues.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Larry!
I bought the Black Edition and the sticker price was $46295.00, BUT, There is more: the dealer added on several options, tonneau cover, back seat cover, etc, and then there was a dealer add on cost ($2500) , govt fees, proc/Doc fees and the total out the door was a shocking $53,796! I did the walk out the door try twice at other dealers and when I came back, the trucks were gone. There was no bargaining. All those great tips on how to buy from a dealer didn't work here. I did get a military discount, but not much. I know in this day and time Honda dealers just don't talk turkey and most only have one or 2 new ones on their lot. The demand is very high and the supply is very low. I went to several dealerships and most didn't have any on their lot, especially the RTL-E or the Back Edition. So I didn't get a fantastic deal, but I did get a great truck (so far).
Thank you for taking the time to share!
Just wait the 2023 will be out and this 22’s will go down I won’t pay more than 40k wait 6 months in January or February it’ll be cold the salesmen will try to get rid of them then when no one is coming inn
I’ve owned two ridgelines and I can tell you they rarely have that many on the lot even pre-pandemic wiggle room is very little with Honda because they know somebody else will come right behind you and buy it I’ve owned for Hondas and have never had very much success at getting any substantial discounts you’ll be lucky to not pay MVA currently.
Nice , you have a very good camera
need cooling seats
Bellísimo el carro con que siempre e soñado desde que era pequeño lastima que aun siga lejos de mi alcance😍😍 bellisimo
I just bought mine today!!! Let's go!!!!
Congratulations on your purchase!
Damn. Mine was 43.9 no where near the 48.1. I got a hell of a deal then
Nice!
I bought a pre-owned 2022 Ridgeline RTL-E from Carmax out here in AZ back in late May 2022. The price was just under $48K, with 2500 miles. Could have been a trade-in or a demo vehicle that the dealer didn't want, not sure. After driving this truck, all of the features that I could figure out in the test drive sold me on the vehicle. Considering how much over sticker the local Honda dealers are charging out here in AZ, it was about par with the price, but without the haggling! The driving characteristics of the vehicle like what others have said below, it handles like a car, really like a dream. I have no regrets about getting it, and on average out here combined city/highway, I am getting 23-23 MPG. Not sure if aftermarket intakes and exhaust would make a difference in performance and mileage, but at this point, I am happy!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with your new Ridgeline, Daniel!
Just bought one! Can’t wait for it to arrive
Congratulations on your purchase!
@@VehicleVisionary waited 6 months for my 22 rtl-e..it was worth the wait!!! ride is more comfortable than my 15 yukon denali!
Really like the Ridgeline!!!!!! Guna get one next year, BUT, there are no vehicles on this dealer lot!!!!!!
“Worth it” is subjective. It’s worth it to me because I appreciate what it is (and what it isn’t). To me it’s miles better than a Tacoma but just does not have that manly truck look
Any looks of vehicle for me is the same, manly looking or not, after few months its the same, youll appreciate more the usable features. Here in my area in Canada, mostly ridgeline is owned by seniors. It has a right height, functional features, comfort ride, large cabin space, etc. Im the only one in my 30's that own a ridgeline. Im confuse why base model have sport badge while the next trim like what I have dont have badge that will tell what trim you have, then next trims have their badge (touring and black edition).
Just purchased my brand new 2023 yesterday for $2,000 below MSRP. Sweet!
Congratulations, Roger!
No rear door bins = Less spaces for the kids to stuff trash in!
Good point, Justin!
I’m waiting. Prices will drop significantly as inventory levels come back.
I got lucky buying mine in California in September 2020. RTL-E for $38,000. Just before all this Covid/supply chain b.s.
Nice job! Timing is important.
I got one today same trim and color. Not crazy about the shifter and radio infotainment set and functionality. Wanted a GMC AT4 or Denali but they and the dealers are clowning around with availability and pricing.
Congratulations on your purchase! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
I want one. But the lack of a mechanical gear shifter is almost a deal breaker. I had a car with the electronic shifter buttons and hated it.
Thank you for sharing, Christopher! I have yet to have a vehicle with a push button shifter. Based on what people such as yourself are telling me I may have to keep it that way. Lol
The mechanical shifter is actually... an electronic shifter that costs more than buttons.
Good to know. But for me its a comfort thing. Like I need something to hold on to.@@wydopnthrtl
Over 47.000. Here in Houston Texas. I got 22 honda Ridgeline RTL-E for 43.000.
Add ventilated seats please!
Definitely!
A front camera would be nice, it's hard to judge the distance so I installed one on my 2020 rtl-e.
Great idea! Thank you for sharing, Anthony.
what kind of front end camera did you install? I think the visual and audio warning signals in the front (while parking and such) activate too late. on my 22 they activate about 10 inches from the obstacle.
@@VehicleVisionary
Hopefully they will add a low range gearing and a higher clearance
1st gear on the 9speed IS low ratio
I want my cd player back
Looking to buy one very soon
Same here.
standard shifter, pocket bins on the back doors, bigger display, easy way to install child car seat,
Those were my concerns before, now i got use to it. Im just happy with trunk feature that i use all the time and all the safety features like lane keeping assist that saved me one time when i fell asleep for a sec while driving highway after a 12hr night shift work.
Just purchased a 22 Ridgeline rtle wireless charger won't charge no more than five seconds without the case on any idea what's going on alot of people complaining about the same problem my dealer hasn't got a clue.
So keep the case on.
Great video....BTW blinkers are illegal in 67 of our 50 states 😂
😂😂😂😂
Push button shifter and start/stop are deal killers.
Don't like the push gear shift buttons
I paid 42k for 2022 RTL truck. Yes it's pricey but what a Ride I got mmm. Dealers like to add price knowing truck will go. Before COVID it would probably be like 40k. It holds it's value Ive been told though
Thank you for taking the time to share!
good job
Thank you, James!
NO Electronic shifter!!!! Up grade the the touch screen!!
Bought my Black Edition 2022 in January and love it … only downsides would be needs a shift lever, don’t like the buttons and radio should stay on when engine shut off. Touch screen also lags and all the tech could be more intuitive. Otherwise an outstanding buy and love the functionality and ride!!
Congratulations on your purchase, Pat! Thank you for the feedback.
Also needs to stay in drive when the door is open, that's pretty annoying
I was going to buy one but some dealer add one turned me off …
So I went down the street and bought a Hyundai Santa Cruz sel premium for 38 k … I think it’s better looking ! I also love the front end and bumper steps .. it also has a trunk just smaller … at the end of the day I think it’s better looking .
Today I was averaging 33 mph …
I’m very happy !!!!
Yeah but its a Hyundai lol
@@allborosnyc4544
Have you driven one ???
If you haven’t don’t knock it !!!
@@fernandosuarez5815 Yes, i have driven one and they are nice but....its still a Hyundai.
@@allborosnyc4544
Yes ! It is still a Hyundai !
I’ll take my chances !
I was considering Maverick, Santa Cruz and Rigeline.
Only Ridgeline fulfilled my needs for a bed size (we will be sleeping in the truck bed with my wife and I an 6ft tall), so there was in fact no competition.
And those lifting back seats on Ridgeline are a must for dog owners (we have 2) - they don't have to jump that high (if they sat on seats), are safer on the ground and there are accessible points to buckle them up.
If I were OK with smaller bed, I would probably go for Maverick for practicality, or Santa Cruz for emotions (design, sport feeling, dynamics), but they are too smaller and less practical than Ridgeline to win in my case.
But it is great that we have more choices and competition - it is always great for a buyer!
$48k? Maybe I missed something but doesnt the RTLE retail for $43.5?
Unfortunately, in my haste to finish the video because the truck was just about to leave the dealership, I forgot to mention the add-ons. Here they are.
Window tint
Side steps
Auto butler paint protection
@@VehicleVisionary forgot that double sticker. If dealerships charge it, they don’t get my business. Speaking of gloves in the glove box….I keep nitrile gloves for pumping gas post Covid. Keeps your hands clean. And yes…..that Eco button is a snail mode. It’s terrible.
It needs a shift leaver. Push Button shifter NO WAY!!!!!!!!!
I’d like to see a HUD on the ‘23 model. Otherwise, keep everything else as is. Awesome vehicle.
I would like to see a Tonneau cover that slides like the Hyundai Santa Cruz
I paid $40,060 for my 2021 RTL-E Ridgeline in March of 2021. I love the truck but I would never pay $48,000. That's well over $50,000 with tax and license.
This was right before car prices surged. I basically got about 9% off of MSRP. I remember it vividly. I called the internet sales manager, it was the very last day of March therefore the very last day of the quarter. I asked the manager for a price they gave me 42060 which is 1,000 off of retail right over the phone. I knew the car dealer was motivated because they will never give you a price under retail over the phone. I hung up the phone thought about it for a little while and said what the hell, if they take $40,060 I'll go get it right now. I was expecting the manager to stick to 42060 or maybe take another thousand off but to my surprise they took my offer I went and picked up the car. I was just very lucky at the right place at the right time so to speak. I've heard several people getting sports for more than I paid for RTL-E.
42,500 is what I pay for!
I'd like to see Honda add an highly efficient (MPG-30+ Hwy) and very reliable Diesel Engine.
Cost prohibitive with this EPA's restrictions.
Head up display, bigger infotainment screen , any of the creature comforts that put it more on par with the Hyundai/Kia offerings.
Hybrid. 360 camera. Updated infotainment. Probably in that order
I am with you on those options, Adam! Thank you for sharing.
$ 48,165 or more is pricey. That's what you pay these days and buyers have no choice. Hopefully, one might get 15 to 20 years out of it.
No way too much I’m a buyer at 40,000$
Drop the price 5 to 7,000 and they'd sell like hotcakes
They sell like hotcakes at the current price point.
Not even close maybe 35 thousand
I'd like to see a turbo/supercharger option lol.
😍💯
Build your own and use hondata for tuning
Wait! A blinker option? Take my money
😂
Home price bubble. Any SUV over price. Same story. Same story. If you pay $$$$ for this vehicle, you are guilty of helping them keep high. I find the Ridgeline and Passport very interesting, but am not willing to overpay. I'll take one for $$, not $$$. Thank you very much.
Me too. I will pay $$, and not a $ more. So, how much is $$, cos I’m not going beyond that.😊
I would love to see ventilated seats, a hand gear shift in the console and make the truck full size. You cannot get grown men in the back seats of the truck. It’s useless!!
Got mine for $42k
48K is a steal it should cost 50K at least
why Honda don't make a 4 cylinder Ridgeline!
Sorry- I feel very OVER-PRICED
NO!
I'll stay with the F-150. Much more capable towing, room, with about the same mpg.
Not even the same type of truck Ridgeline better rides and it is a mid-size went from a 2010 F150 and love it.
This thing just screams 🌈 !!
I am looking at one of these and you didn't tell me near enough about the controls on the dash. I have to go watch another video.
How sad. How can you not figure it out for yourself without a video? It is not complicated at all.
Nope it's not worth it anymore! Bye Honda!!!
Not even close to worth it. The thing is a joke.
Have you priced pickups?
@@davidbrooks8061 Yeah, a Frontier Pro-4X is less and does a lot more.
It's all about what you want. The Pro X4 has a tiny cab compared to the Honda, not near the ride or comfort. And it's a Nissan, not Honda's reliability.
@@davidbrooks8061 But the Honda isn't a pickup, I wouldn't expect pickups to act like a minivan with a bed.
I currently have a Dodge Ram and the Ridgeline is mIst definitely a pickup. Just not dinky like the Frontier.
