We all comeback here to see the highlights of our new head-coach👀
Mets-en 😂😂😂
And now I want a yellow stick ; )
Ça. Sent. La. Coupe!
@@crapopotateptl pas cette année mais l’an prochain par contre
yup!
As a short guy he was always my favourite player. Some of the best handles in his era. The St. Louis/Lecavalier partnership was a honour to watch
Fun fact, Marty St. Louis was actually cut by the Flames before he went to Tampa Bay.
Guess who he beat in 2004 to win the Cup?
and that is the icing on the cake.
As a Calgarian, the goal was in. Bullshit call
@@Itsmeyourbuddyguy I still dont know how that goal didnt count.
all you need to know is Jerome Iginla was defeated because he IS a scumbag and thats how he played the game he 'supposedly' loved. get over it... :D im sure he has by now and i am sure marty's nose is better ( though crookederer )
@@Itsmeyourbuddyguy Agreed
Besides maybe Patrick Kane, Marty has the best hands I've ever seen. Grew up watching the dude living in Tampa. An absolute legend
have you ever heard of pavel datsyuk
DrewDawg94 thank you. Man.
I think Pavel beats them both but there’s no doubt St. Louis is one of the most creative players to ever play. Just insane how clever he was with the puck.
Datsyuk?
Really? Lol? Jagr, Gretzky, Mario, many others. Currently look at guys like MacKinnon, Mcdavid Matthews all have better hands
Even as a Hawks fan, Marty will always be my favorite player. The little man that could.
He was and always will be a dream come true. He still makes me smile wide and still warms my heart.
I have his NY Rangers jersey. I'll never give it away. One of the best players ever. God Bless Marty St. Louis 🏒🏒🏒👏👏👏
As a Rangers fan, watching Marty and Stamkos together was one of the biggest treats to watch during the season. So deadly together and they made it look so seamless.
Even in his short stint on Broadway, he helped create some awesome memories. Though we didn't win the Cup, that was special to watch. Thank you Marty.
Freakin' Legend.
You forgot Vincent Lecavalier!
1:55 OMG
FILTHY
Unreal
Marty St. Louis one of the best come-up stories in hockey
1:55 my favorite play ever
Guy who inspired me to play hockey
Quel talent et quelle maitrise! ✨✨✨
Such a great player hard worker and a genuine great guy. Glad he has a cup made me tear up at his retirement ceremony
Proof that big things come in small packages. I’m shorter cause I’m 5’2. Though I never played hockey in my entire life and just started watching NHL just about 2 years ago, Marty motivates me to do my best everyday.
Do more of these, I like it
I agree. Too many big names seem to fall off the fave of the earth when they retire. Let their legends live on we say!
Esti de bon joueur de caractère belle fierté du Québec
no one:
literally no one:
tortarella: marty was a pain in the ass to coach
John Tortorella is a boomer head ass, similar to Babcock and needs to take notes from Sakic, BrindArmour and Yzerman on how to lead a franchise and Cooper, Trotz and Sullivan on how to treat your players and connect and gain respect.
I feel like St. Louis really helped to bring smaller than football player sized guys back into fashion in the NHL
him and theo fleury yeah
No one is prolly gonna see this. But, legit.... i've been a TBL find since 1995. And for some reason, the goal at @1:09 is still unbelievable. I for real think was one of the best of his career. My mouth was on the floor when it happened back then.
Its not 100% crazy flashy, but, non the less Surgical AF.
I will never get bored of watching St Louis highlights. What an awesome hockey player
Was so great watching him play growing up back in the day. Such a hard worker on and off the ice I learned a lot from him when I played hockey
Small package huge heart. As a smaller guy I admired three guys growing up.
Mats Naslund, Saku Koivu and Marty. They played like lions.
Wow. This is some highlights. Magic man.
Welcome to MTL 💪
One of the most exciting players I've ever seen
Marty St. Louis and Zdeno Chara use the same stick.
just a bit smaller 😂
Chara’s requires an entire Lamborghini’s worth of carbon fibre.
Tonight Marty will be inducted into the HOF and a week from Wednesday I will be at Amalie Arena on Marty St. Louis night. He is an inspiration to all. He and Vinny were pure magic together on the ice.
One of the most enjoyable players to watch
i loved St. Louis. Remember how Dan Bylsma used to tell the Penguins to never, ever cover St. Louis or Brian Gionta? It was like he had a "make sure that there's a small, skilled guy wide open in front of our net at all times" rule.
I don't think a lot of people realize that St. Louis absolutely DOMINATED this league while some of its most prolific players of all time were in their prime age in the NHL alongside him.
Wlcm Home Marty!!!
Def one of my favorite players of all time ... St. Louis, Tavares, Ricci, E. Karlsson, Burns, Modano
He was my hero as a kid, and it’s wonderful to see him lauded as one of the greats still.
Cool guy and great player! Miss him on the ice..
Hands team.. he had more goals in one game than john Scott did in his whole career
Well scott is the goat
2:41 when i think about what kind of player st-louis was , his goal reaction is what come in my mind
I remember that yellow Synergy stick. Man I wanted one when I was a kid lol. The yellow or the Orange cause Forsberg had the orange one
Marty St. Louis just is the definition of love of the game
I'm from ESTL and after I watched STL blues win the 2019 Stanley cup. I began to think of the greatest hockey player I ever seen play hockey.
One of my favorite players growing up loved his playmaker ability and I'm not even a tampa fan.
martin st louis was my favourite player in all the NHL
Coach has got some crazy moves.
This came up on suggested and i am pleased to see St. Louis is the coach for Montréal!! Lets go!
some of the best release ever
My fav player of all time
He performed and played when hoocking was not called as penalty. Imbelievable détermination.
As a small hockey player he inspires me.
Do a Danny Briere one.
Welcome to Montreal!
st louis + stamkos = my hockey childhood
Heres our new coach
Lfg tabarnak
great back to the past with Marty
I love you marty!!!
Welcome to Montreal coach
What a player
That twig brings back memories
MSL has a 5’6 body with heart & soul of a lion.
At every level since pee wee, his mom always told him, “Go show them, Marty”!
You dont need size, you need hands, speed and game sense.
nimbus size helps
@@conorp4074 But its not necessary to be big anymore in NHL.
Legend \m/
The most spectacular player of his generation
The greatest Habs coach of all time already sheeeshhh
5 in a row and let’s get 6 tonight!
Oh Marty, how ever do I miss you.
my favorite line. Richards was a playoff beast.
What a beast
Montréal Canadiens Head Coach
Would love to have had won a cup with him! Thanks Marty you kicked ass in the short time you were a Ranger!
It's not necessary how big or strong you are, it's about speed and determination.
in my opinion, the deadliest short handed player of all time
Team with 3 Russians won a Stanley Cup. Now it's Tampa's turn! Kucherov, Vasilevskiy, Sergachev... What an aswesome trio!
Against Radulov, Girianov, Segui n o v , and Ben no v ------ no way.
@@RB-ye4ri Lightning won the Cup.
This is the 2nd dumb comment I've seen from you on this thread.
You ain't too bright.
He really laid the foundation for a winning attitude in Tampa!
Eiserman was an idiot for choosing Stamkos over Martin Saint Louis for the Canadian Olympic Team .
Stamkos always gets hurt , sick, ... instead of being there !
Tampa WAS my favourite team until they shot themselves in the foot by trading Saint Louis --- he would still be there coaching special teams or something !!!
☆☆☆☆Go , STARS , GO !!!!!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
- stupdedist thing since The Maple Leafs raised the number thirteen to the rafters --what lame brain had that idea, they could have put the guys name up only that doomed Toronto and Eiserman ' s egotistical idiocy doomed Tampa --trading St. LOUIS what was he drinking/thinking/blinking ???
@@RB-ye4ri who the hell is Eiserman?
I think you mean YZERMAN....
And picking Stamkos, a 25 year old superstar who was coming off a 50 goal season and a 60 goal season was not a stupid move...
Marty was the one who demanded to be traded.
Honestly, Marty acted like a bit of a whiny brat.
Yzerman was the one who picked the players for the Canadian team and was the GM of the Lightning at the same time.... Since "Eiserman" aka YZERMAN didn't choose him for the first team Canada roster, Marty acted like a bit of a douche and demanded to be traded. Yzerman did actually pick Marty, and if you knew anything about the situation you're stupidly claiming to know something about, you'd know that Marty DID play for Canada and he won the gold medal.
YZERMAN didn't want to trade him... Marty said he was not going to play for Tampa anymore... So what do you expect from Yzerman?
He either let Marty sit at home and pay him millions of dollars to NOT play hockey, or trade him when he demanded a trade and actually get a player who will play hockey?
Just the fact that you said "Eiserman" instead of his real name - YZERMAN - shows that you don't know much about hockey. Yzerman is a Hall of Fame player and one of the best hockey players to ever play the game.
The Canada team has absolutely nothing to do with the Lightning... And the Lightning were the ones who paid him.
Marty said he wouldn't play for the team who gave him a chance when nobody else would... The team who got him a Stanley Cup... The team that made him into a super star and a Hall of Fame player... The team who paid him tens of millions of dollars... The team who's fans absolutely loved him...
All because he wasn't picked for the first squad Olympic team, and WAS picked as the 1st replacement in case another player got hurt - which has absolutely nothing to do with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Also, the Lightning traded him for Ryan Callahan who was the Rangers Captain, and their best player... At that point in Marty's career, Callahan was a better player. The lightning also got draft picks from the rangers, and one of those picks turned into Anthony Cirelli, who is one of the best 2 way forwards in the NHL and a great player who's still playing for Tampa, and just won a Stanley Cup.
So basically, Yzerman had no choice but to trade Marty. In return, the Lightning got Callahan and Cirelli.
The Lightning won that trade.
"Eiserman" literally had no choice but to trade him - why would he keep a player who's one of the highest paid players in the NHL if he refused to play?
You win the "DUMB COMMENT AWARD"
🙄🙄🙄🙄
Oh and one more thing... Stamkos was a guarantee to make the Canada roster. Yzerman didn't choose Stamkos over St Louis, he chose Jeff Carter over St Louis and technically he did choose Marty for the Canada roster - Marty was the first reserve player, meaning if someone got hurt, St Louis was the replacement. Someone DID get hurt, and Marty ended up playing for Canada and winning the gold medal... Yet he still demanded a trade, even after making the Canada roster like he wanted and winning the gold medal.
The stupidity of your comment is astounding.
EISERMAN lol 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
@@csonkaperdido Dude, the guy is legit stupid. I don’t know why you even bothered responding to him in the first place. Don’t give these brainless dipshits an ounce of your time, mate.
The height of a man is never measured from its feet!
If you take his size into account, than u can say he just about makes it in the all time greats.
My favorite Tampa player
So cool how he only used one type of stick
Remember kids don’t skip leg day
Believe in yourself, everything is possible!!!-martin st.louis
Omg I completely forgot about him
i don't know... he still might be the best player the Habs can dress lol
Wow what a 🐐 best hands and snap shot
y'all should put olympic + world cup highlights in these montages
The little engine that could
One of my all time favs, Rangers did it again.... get him at the end of his career.
Is it just me or without these badass players from Quebec I would think that the culturally French can’t hang with grit and toughness of the rest of the NHL.
the toe drag master
Spark that ignite the lighting.
deserves to be in the 100 greatest players of all-time
Cool
king of the toe-drag.
Went on two rival teams rangers and lightning
and now he is Coaching Cole Caulfield to be the next MSL!
GOAT
Josh no 😂😂
Aiden Bignell He was one of the best players in his prime and no doubt the best Undrafted player.
Josh lol gretzky was never drafted so no
That Twig tho
Habs Legend
To think tampa got this guy for free
They should show this video to the Habs' players lol
Get the first draft pick this year (hopefully) and make the habs roster believe again!Getter done Martin St. Louis
Its always crazy to me that a guy who was 5,6 or whatever would juke people out so bad with plays the damn camera man 50 feet away would get faked out so bad hed start filming the stands for a second. And this happened A LOT
AND here he comes coaching the habs...
Funny how I remember a commercial where he said everyone said “ he was too small to make it” well look who looks like a fool now !
