if i could afford it and it wouldnt affect my main steam account i would cheat out of spite of the recoil update (in my defense i would be doing it to put pressure on facepunch to make better anti cheat measures)
@sealfourtyfour did not play rust pre recoil update but IMHO the recoil isn't even that big of a change... if anything it made the game easier for some players as back then with the old recoil you can script the recoil pattern making it way harder to detect a cheater.
Cheaters getting messed with is the best feeling.

Cheaters have bad mics because they spend the money on cheats and majority of them are losers who have no friends so no need to buy a mic to talk to anyone

@@Mister_Blean It's likely a number of mental pathologies, human minds are complex. Personally I think they are just extremely poor losers. There is one person who is 100% sure they are cheating and are not fooled by the hoax, the Cheater themselves - this is why I could never cheat.
That's just their excuse, if it was boring and shit then they wouldn't play. They cheat because they can't stand to lose. They want to put in any effort to get better either. They buy cheats so they can "win" in their mind and hopefully make people as upset as they would be.

it amazes me how PvE games have better anti cheats than rust
PvE games are much more enjoyable in my opinion. EVERYTHING about them is just so much more appealing. And sadly... You do still have to deal with cheaters. They can't just get better at the game. Not sure what's so important in their life that they can't spend a little bit more time playing and practicing. At least they are a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller problem. But the cheaters who play PvP games still play in PvE. They are still in that PvP mindset, so they will actually troll other players to still try and ruin their experience for some sort of imaginary upper hand. A pretend victory over the 'competition'. They are really, REALLY pathetic.

It's never going to stop,with the constant game sales ,not just in rust but most online games it makes it much easier for them to grab a new account on the cheap,this is why I'm considering stopping playing rust altogether as facepunch themselves are aiding this situation.

No. The fact that SO MANY people cheat and nothing is being done about it is the reason the coupons showed up. People support cheating more than they are repulsed by it. If it's built into the game that's single player... Sure. I'll take a look. But downloading cheats from a sketchy site that are against policy? Why are so many people enthralled by this idea that cheating is fun? Like I said, flying around and doing goofy stuff on a game where the developers are okay with that is fine. Using cheats to try and pretend to be better at the game against REAL players? Everybody who uses cheats has some sort of mental malfunction where they do everything in their power to avoid the truth. And that anonymous survey where around 60% of people admitted to using some kind of cheat? It's just unbelievable how the culture has decided to embrace stupidity and immorality instead of NORMAL EVERYDAY COMMON SENSE! How can humans still brag about the species being super intelligent? They PROVE every single day that they aren't... At least the animals have basic survival instincts. Humans can't even understand basic cause and effect anymore, because they INTENTIONALLY REFUTE LOGIC!

Camomo You should keep a tally of how many bans you do in a month. Start on the 1st of a month and do 2 different columns: 1 for cheating and the other for ban evading.

how did you go about geting into being a server admin. ive been back playing rust for a few month now after a work incident that has made me medically unfit to work now. i have severe damage to my hand so pvp is almost impossible for me but love the game so trying to do something different to see the game and admin work would fill my boring days
