I liked this vision and portrayal of this character in the MCU.
Namor needs his own solo film and I would like to see more about the city of Talokan and the revelation of the underwater world in the future.

I watched the film this week and Namor was the best part of the film. Tenoch Huerta did a fantastic job with his performance and Ryan Coogler did a great job on writing Namor's arc in the film. Despite his actions, in his own way cares about his people and wants what's best for them; if you think about the speech scene, he apologizes to his people and takes responsibility for making the mistake of trusting Wakanda instead of placing the blame solely on Wakanda. And I liked the changes they added to his character where, given his age, we actually understand why he hates humans. He may be an antihero but he's also an antihero we like to root for because we understand his actions. We understand why and that's the definition of a true antihero.

@@merladyneptune3908 Thank you. I found him a more sympathetic villian than Kilmonger ever was. Kilmonger was just a hurt little kid consumed by revenge while Namor is a guy whos hatred for humans doesn't blind him from the fact that he wants what's best for his people. And he didn't even cause the war between Wakanda. That's Nakia's fault.

This actor deserved an oscar and golden globe nomination. So greatful for the performance and story.
as a Fan of the classic Atlantean Namor, I actually like the new Mayan twist they gave him for this movie. seeing how the tribe became the first souls of Talokan, and how Namor got his name from the saying "El Niño Sin Amor" was really cool. it's a pretty drastic change from the comics, but it works pretty well for the movie. it also helps that Tenoch Huerta was so damn good in the role.
If you think about it, Namor actually wins. He changed his goal from killing Riri Wiliams to just securing an alliance with Wakanda and despite Shuri having every reason to kill Namor, she still agrees to his terms. Namor won.
Gotta say it. Namor is my favourite super hero in the MCU so far

@@user-pi9de6nq5l I don't see how that would apply; the stuff that Kilmonger did isn't superhero worthy. And if you look into it, Namor's a saint in the film compared to his comic book counterpart.Google the word: ""antihero."

I know they call him a Mutant but Namor’s origin in this film makes me think his father was a deity. Perhaps the actual Kukulkan
Not likely, in the MCU the plant is what mutated Namor to give him wings on his ankles and pointed ears. Originally in the comics the father carries the X gene which passes onto the child but I believe the MCU has changed that rule. So somehow the plant just made him different from the rest of the talokanils.
In the official podcast the cultural consultant says that Namor’s dad was an Aztec mercenary.
His dad was a purepecha traveler, is the man his mom is burying, is in the Og script.
Namor was, is, and always shall be (despite Marvel’s retconning) a MAGICAL being, as all atlantean magic (logomancy) flows through him.
the feather serpend god ... kukulkan (or quetzalcoatl for the Aztecs) . in Thor love and thunder the real feather serpent god appears in the movie
He actually represents huzilopochitl the Aztec God of War...that's why his wings make the noise of the hummingbird.

The best example of antihero and a hero the same time, for his people he is a god and a hero and he doesn't thing just to protect what is matter to him and willing to kill and destroy everything in order to keep safe his nation. Sorry for Wakanda becoming an enemy in his eyes

Holy shite... I didn't care about this film. I wasn't going to watch it because the REAl black panther wasn't in it. But man, after watching this video I can't wait to watch it. NAMOR is freaking awesome. He's definitely the star of the movie.

@@LadyFrost1971 bro I just tried watching it and there was so much bad racist/woke humor within the first 40 min I was almost always cringing. When it got to the part with iron heart I legit couldn't keep watching. That character was so bad in the comics, almost no one liked her before she was in the MCU. The movie was what I expected it to be, full of virtue signaling bs and snarky racist remarks galore.
