In all of those who were there, I would expect to see more than one person with an umbrella if the sun was unbearable. The evidence for anything other than the protest statement is circumstantial and compelling, but is inconclusive to any other end. It is a peculiar placing at a blind spot on the road, where some could think that he was signaling to someone firing the final fatal shot, which is presumed to have come from behind him. I am sure that would be a detail a trained sniper would want to know. Investigation should leave no stone unturned. The official story is unbelievable.

I am from the UK. I don't know much about guns(as we ban them) or range finders. But Neville Chamberlin and umbrellas is quite obscure. In the UK Chamberlin is known for having a bit of paper from Hitler which meant peace(although it didn't). I find it hard to believe that someone would think that the President would connect the umbrella to Chamberlin and then to his dad.

    • @peterarmstrong5288
      @peterarmstrong5288 Před 5 měsíci +4

The umbrella reference to Chamberlain is nowhere near as obscure as people seem to think it is. You have to consider the context of the era that the Kennedy's lived through to understand it's significance.
It is correct that Chamberlain will always be linked to that "piece of paper" and forever derided for his policies of appeasement.
The part of the story that is not so well known, is that in 1940 there was a very deep divide within the British government, after the fall of France. The war was clearly not going well for Britain, and they were under the threat of imminent invasion. There was a very real movement within the pro-Chamberlain faction to sue for peace with the Germans.
What is not taught in schools, is just how close the British were to giving up the fight and brokering a peace deal with Hitler in 1940.
Of course, we now know that the "fight-on" faction won out and Chamberlain was ousted. The nation rallied behind Churchill, Britain fought on, and the rest, they say, is history.
From this moment on, Chamberlain's was no longer a political force, and his reputation was destroyed (for posterity basically).
However, what also is not so widely known is that Joseph Kennedy was a supporter of Chamberlain, and he was strongly campaigning for Britain to capitulate to Hitler in 1940. As a result of Chamberlain's ousting, Joseph Kennedy was out, and his reputation was also left in tatters.
Up until then, his political ambitions, were all for himself, not his son's, as is widely believed. He then had no choice other than to channel all his ambitions through the futures of his sons. As we know, Joe Jnr tragically never survived the war, so John became the focus.
So, through all of this, JFK would have been not only aware, but excruciatingly aware of what the umbrella protest meant. It was a point of shame and embarrassment to the Kennedy family.

Chamberlain and appeasement are frequently brought up in the US when someone wants us to get in another war. It obviously works quite well.
Chamberlain was not appeasing Hitler in hope he would stop. He was trying to buy time to rearm. At any rate, there was nothing Britain or France could have done for Czechoslovakia (or Poland).
JFK’s senior thesis at Harvard was “Why England Slept” which defended his father’s support for Chamberlain’s “appeasement”.

I've heard a lot of different views, thoughts, opinions, and alleged conclusions on who the umbrella man could've been. IMO he was the signal man on the ground or the "conductor" so to speak. His sole job was to signal everyone involved on when to start shooting.

    • @msh1276
      @msh1276 Před 5 měsíci +16

I think he was a signal to the shooter(s) that were to the right and the front. If he didn't open the umbrella it meant the shooter(s) from behind clearly finished the job (which is what was wanted because it fits the Oswald/lone gunman conclusion they wanted - no need to doctor autopsy, etc).
But the first shooter(s) missed with one or two of the shots and Kennedy was not clearly dead so the umbrella was to signal to the shooters further up the road that they were to fire instead of hold off. Then the plan was deployed to cover up how many times and where he was hit, etc.

Amazing what people say when the fallacy of presentism intersects with the illogic of conspiracy theory. This even happened in 1963, just 25 years after Neville Chainbelain appeased Hitlet at Munich. Look up that event and you will see that Chamberlain's unbrella was ubiguitous. A litle research will also show you that the umbrella is synonymous with Chamberlain and his failures.
The appeasment policies of JFK's father ruined his own presidential aspirations and were still a topic of conversation in 1963. Some people felt that JFK was selling out to the Soviets with the Test Band Treaty and his American University speech. Read some history before you make these sorts of sweeping pronouncements. Also remember basic logic rules: If there is a simple explanation, it usually is the correct explanation.

For people who were middle-age in in 1963, Neville Chamberlain was a major, highly recognizable historical figure, and his umbrella was a bit of a trademark. It was used in caricatures and such. JFK literally wrote a college thesis about England's path to WW2: he must've had an opinion on Chamberlain, and he most likely would've known about the umbrella.
Political trivia is weird: why else would "go, Brandon!" be a taunt against Joe Biden, for instance? If you try to explain it to someone 60 years from now, they'd say you're insane.
Or you could mock Al Gore by pulling up a fake lockbox, or dress up as a potato if you're going to meet Dan Quayle, or wear a tan suit in front of Obama...

David Lifton told me a few months ago how thrilled he was when he learned of Bob Dylan’s newly released song, “Murder Most Foul.” He was startled to hear Dylan explicitly referenced his original research that the Bethesda autopsy was falsified via the illicit removal of Kennedy’s brain prior to the official examination, resulting in an empty cranium at the time of autopsy. Bottom line: “missing brain” means that the genuine assassination bullets never reached the FBI Lab, and that in turn explains how Oswald’s mail order rifle was falsely implicated as the murder weapon; and Oswald, as the assassin.

He didn't imagine that the nut jobs in the country would slowly coalesce around it as an anchor to their conspiracy theories

Imagine coming up with a visual signal to signify the operation is a "go", then realizing (after the fact) that the idea was so stupid and obvious that everyone would see it for what it was once it was pointed out, and that you still have successors to this day that have to create videos like this to keep covering it up decades later.

“Umbrella Man” gave an ‘explanation’ but that does not mean he was telling the truth (or that it was even him in the obscure photograph). The idea that a guy takes an umbrella out on a clear day in 1963 to show a President as a lone protest against some distant historical event from the 1930’s that involved a tenuous link between JFK’s father and British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, sounds extremely far fetched at best. In fact it sounds like a completely concocted load of nonsense made up by people who realised there was a glaring hole in their ‘official story’ and so tried desperately to cover their tracks. If a so-called conspiracy theorist came up with dodgy reasoning and logic like this man’s “protest story” they’d be laughed out of the room. Anyone who believes that load of baloney over the Occam’s Razor likelihood that Umbrella Man was providing guidance and signal assistance for gunmen is the real ‘conspiracy theorist’. It’s bleeding obvious that’s what he and the man next to him motioning with his fist we’re doing. People need to stop believing everything journalists tell them, especially those from the Establishment controlled New York Times.

Shooters do not use an outside "shot coordinator" unless they are in a firing squad.
How do you track a moving target and, at the same time, watch someone who is going to tell you when to shoot?
And what good reason would there be to do that?
In an on-line ambush so no one triggers the ambush until everyone is ready, yes.
      But an assassination. Why?
Multiple snipers with headset communications as the Israeli's used when they assassinated the Iraqi general, that I understand.

James Bliehall Inferences need to be builded upon something, yours is not, hes only saying that theres no proof that the guy who showed up was umbrella man, not that he had anything to do with killing JFK. And even if he had to, there are multiple roles for him to play in the plot outside of the one you just assumed. Are you telling me that wearing a headset would have made more sense? In 1963, when headsets were still huge and had to be wired to a transmitter and a receiver? Do you know the state of technology during that year? There were no wireless microphones with a range larger than 100 feet, walkie talkies were big devices the size if a violin with long antennas that were wired to transmitters and receivers the size of a traveling bag that usually were helmet-mounted or carried like luggage. You want a guy with all those apparatus in the middle of the crowd shouting to a walkie “shoot him” or whatever the codeword was? NO SUSPICIOUS AT ALL. People were arrested for how they looked, imagine being there with military communications equipment impossible to hide, that guy would have been arrested immediatly. Even if the guy was inside a building with all these machines then who was outside telling the snipers that the conditions, the area, the moment... were propicious for the action to take place? Somebody out there was needed to provide the snipers the order to fire and to prepare them seconds before because it was a winding road and not all of them had visual ranges of the motorcade UNTIL it reached their point when they wouldnt have had enough time to think what to do and the order to do it with enough time. It was supposed to rain that day, umbrella man had to be there and give the signal by raising the umbrella, like he did, above the other umbrellas, but it didnt rain and it was too obvious when people examined the film but not at that suspicious at that moment as using large military technology, who protects himself with a black umbrella from the sun when its november and the protest didnt make any sense, Chamberlain was not famous for carrying an umbrella, he did like eveybody in the UK when its cloudy, he wasnt Mary Poppins. The roof was supposed to be on, and thats why multiple snipers make sense, a car with windows and roof protects more the occupants requiring multiple shoots. So, his role was to give the order with some seconds in advance, indicating time and moment, like some sort of spotter, but not to help them aiming or be some kind of distance reference or “mile stone”, and of course he wasnt shooting at all.

I did not notice this comment had gotten any traction until today so I guess I’ll respond to the general vibe I’m getting from the comments.
I was just putting out this comment because they never stated this in the video and I had heard this in another documentary on the subject. I’m no expert on the JFK assassination I just had been interested in the subject and had watched a few documentaries about it the same weekend I watched this video. I haven’t really picked a side on the argument, I see there’s good evidence to the official theory and good evidence for many of the other popular theories.
About my comment itself: I was simply stating that it was interesting that there was no way to prove the guy who showed up at the trial was the umbrella man in the video of the assassination, I’m also not saying the umbrella man had anything to do with it, but he is a part of a few of the theories.

Little did I know that I would one day be one of the few people who know what really happened...and that GOD would announce to me that I am His teacher and prophet in these "end times."
Thus sayeth the LORD: "This is an insane world, and do not underestimate the extent of its insanity."
This guy was making a protest that absolutely no one would understand. Who would believe that?
George H.W. Bush just happened to be standing on the steps of the Dallas School Book Depository building at the time of the assassination. (Yes, there are pictures.) Was he was protesting John Kennedy being better looking than him?
The umbrella man signaled for the placing and timing of the shot. And George Bush worked for the CIA at the time (although he lied about that fact). And Roscoe White, a CIA agent posing as a Dallas policeman, fired the fatal shot from behind a wall in the bushes on the "grassy knoll."
This was a conspiracy of vast proportions. But, ultimately, absolutely everything that happens in this world was designed by the Mind that is ALL, the Mind that many call "GOD." AND FOR GOOD REASON.
I am GOD's prophet and witness, the prophesied return of the biblical prophet Elijah. I have come in these "end times" (the end of a Great Cycle of time) with the 'GOOD NEWS" that Yeshua One with Christ ("Jesus Christ") brought long ago, but which has been misunderstood, misinterpreted, and corrupted by men. Click and ye shall find.

I think you are right.. Although more for signals than depth/distance perception? Watch those yellow marks on the sidewalk slide by. That was the markers.. 3 shooters, in different positions, need something to gauge when to shoot. It would be difficult to synchronize without those. Plan A was to hit him before that zone.. But if he was living as he entered it, he wasn't going to be when he left. Happens pretty quickly after the car enters that zone.
And those guys looking weird on the sidewalk, were up to something. Or they wouldn't be the only people, except that girl running at the beginning, to stand out so much.

Tippit was the Grassy Knoll shooter he was also a patsy for the FBI and shot by the FBI. Lee Harvey Oswald and Tippit were basicly hired by the FBI so not to implicate themselves if they ever did get caught Hoover did not want that, LHO and Tippit were disposable, Tippit was taken out as discussed by certain FBI, and Hoover at the behest of LBJ, but LHO assassination did not go as planned, he made it out of the book depository, he was caught but with to many witnesses around to assassinate then and there, that's where Ruby came into it, he was not doing well in business or health so basically they gave him an offer to good to refuse and his family were set for life.

The umbrella protest signifies political weakness, it seems to be used mostly between 1930-1970. Neville Chamberlain's opponents used them wherever he traveled to protest his appeasement of the Nazis. Also occurred when NIxon returned from China. Hong King protesters are using them right now. The Kennedy family supported Chamberlain, which was the specific reason given for the protest, by the actual umbrella man, Louie Witt, to a House Committee in 1978.

I was in the 5th grade on a rainy afternoon making a macaroni-covered cigar box as a Christmas present for my mother. I had just painted the macaroni gold. A little after 1 pm, my teacher came into the classroom crying. No one spoke - you could hear a pin drop. We knew something short of Jesus returning had happened. Most people can tell you exactly where they were and had been doing on November 22, 1963. It will always be a mystery.
