Buist Fanning's commentary is rooted in dispensationalism, which may limit its acceptance among more academic scholars due to this particular theological perspective." "I've read Keener's commentary and found it quite insightful. I also own Aune's and Beale's commentaries. Beale's interpretation is influenced by Calvinism, which can be seen in his approach to Revelation and yes the clear text of Revelation overcomes his calvinist bias. However, despite this bias, it remains a valuable commentary overall. I've purchased the printed versions of these commentaries."

There's an excellent one that I read a few years back and still keep on my bookshelf as reference called Revelation 4 Views. Ah yes, now i see you covered it as an honorable mention right before #10 ! Good stuff 👍🙂 I'm surprised GK Beale's masterful commentary on Revelation didn't make your list. Edit: Oh there it is! You left it for last and I couldn't see it standing on the table!! 😁 I also recommend Revelation of Jesus Christ by Stefanovich.

I'd love your feedback on my commentary books coming out next month. I'd shoot you some peices after final edit before it is released. If you'd be interested. I have the book of John and Book of Romans in 2 versions. I'm a while away from revelation, but have some others I hope to have out in the next couple years.

I heard Schreiner is writing a commentary on Revelation to replace Osborn's one. Looking forward this!

That would be interesting. Carson supposedly is writing a commentary on Revelation for Pillar, that would be great as well.

@@GeraldoFerreira92 I heard about this too. I also found out that Carson is writing a commentary on Galatians for Pillar, Hebrews for Baker and Letters of John (dont know the series). I don't know how much of this is true, but I would love to! Love Carson and his commentaries on Matthew and John are outstanding!

@@LucasAraujo-mm1jz yes, the Johannine epistles are for the NIGTC, I do hope it's true, especially the Hebrews one, as it is lacking a good reformed author for a commentary.

@@GeraldoFerreira92 Yes, I'm about to buy Lane's volumes on hebrews, but not too exciting, especially because of the boring WBC style. Carson on Galatians would be great becouse of the New Perspective issues and Wright recent volume.

Triumph of the Lamb by Dennis Johnson is amazing and highly recommend it for anyone who is wanting to get their feet wet in understanding Revelation. It is also very encouraging. God bless.

It would be incredibly helpful if instead of just a general top ___ list we could create our own top list by filtering what we're looking for. Like a technical, Catholic, premillennial. Or pastoral, Methodist, amillennial. Or maybe old earth creationist, egalitarian, protestant. Or whatever combination.

Most modern Historic Premillennialists take a similar view and it's often called the eclectic view. Ben Witherington, J Scott Duvall, Craig Keener, Ian Paul etc.
