- 👋 In todays review we check out the all new 2024 BMW i5 M60!!! This is the brand new fully electric 5 series from BMW! BMW first introduced the 2023 BMW i7 for the fully electric 7 series and have now brought it to the 5 series! This 2024 BMW i5 M60 is the highest trim level to go with if you want the additional horsepower/torque and some other components! The 2024 BMW i5 still retains much of the 5 series design so from a distance, it's really hard to tell that this would be a fully electric version and I like that it's not something completely different! The kidney grill is still retained and the overall design for the new 5 series in general, has a great look! The interior on this 2024 BMW i5 M60 xdrive has all the new technology that BMW has incorporated into it's newer models lately and offers a lot! The larger screens are easy to go through and there's multiple items to configure as needed! There is also plenty of space to make this a great daily driver!
Driving the all new 2024 BMW i5 M60 xdrive was nice! Being a BMW, it's well refined and quiet (especially being an electric vehicle!) and there's also a few drive modes to liven up the driving experience! It will not only change the piped in sound when you accelerate, but will also adjust the sunshade too, depending on the mood! It's kind of a gimmick, but a neat addition for a car that otherwise wouldn't sound like anything!
The range for this 2024 BMW i5 M60 xdrive isn't the best compared to the competitor, however, it does have a great deal of power, so a little bit of a trade off and if you decide you want more range, the lower level trim for the BMW i5 has a range over 300 miles! So it just depends on what will work best for you and the driving you plan on doing!

The looks of the new 5 are growing on me. It looks better with darker colors. I would go with the 540i inline six. The pumped in noises sound very annoying to me but I have not driven it. I think using the same platform for gas and EV is genius. This is miles ahead of a Tesla. When you say 10 hr charge on a household, do you mean a standard 120v US outlet ? or 220? My bmw dealer wanted me to trade in my 1.5 year lease from a x3M40i to this car , because all the big incentives they have only for this month, but after doing my homework. I got turned off real quick. The insurance was extremely high for me with Allstate with all the limits that I currently have, it was $534 a month , on top of that the level 2 charger to be installed at my home was $1300, so it was a no go for me. I already don’t like electric cars, but was going to be a little open minded, but no I’ll stick with my car for now , then get the M3 model after the lease. M60 is a nice car. I enjoyed the test drive.
That's insane!! I would stick with the M340 all day over an EV, they just aren't as fun or practical in my opinion. I would never own one!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yes, I would never own one. It was a eye-opening moment for me. I believe EV’s are a scam. It is absolutely preposterous on the cost to insure those vehicles into heavy electrician to come and install a level two for the equipment and installation $1300 that is wild to me. I hope the M60 never sells and they have to drop the price to the price of a base model five series which is a $50,000 car then I might consider it lol.
Why does the front have to be covered with a big stupid plastic cover how do you get to the engine or does everything have to look electric
There's no engine in this electric BMW...not much to "work" on, but the engine cover isn't out of the norm, a lot of vehicles come with an engine cover.

I have a 23 x3M40i, and bmw was trying to get me to lease this car so badly, they were going to break my lease to lease this m60. I was going to, but done my homework. Bad deal! Insurance is extremely high to insure this car, and to have a level 2 at home it’s 1300 bucks in my area. Good luck BMW
