And with the left out carvings we can create a new soap by melting and setting it in a mould, any silicon mould, even the silicon cupcake moulds 😊

lt's possible to recycle them to
soap bars.

Weird question but why do we need to slice the top and bottom of the soap?

The soap surface is usually dry and crumbly ,so you should slice off the top of soap before carve it.

mizutama.soap Ooh that's cool! I always thought it was because a lot of soaps have curved surfaces and you wanted to smooth it out before you carved.
Jannie Arellano I think it is because soap bars are not smooth and if u want to have a perfect outline of it u have to have it flat (idrk I just guessed XD)

T M it would mostly be glycerin since it’s softer and easier to mold.
I made the soap bunny and it's SOOO CUTE! I don't even want to use it in the shower XD

Gorgeous. Never carved anything but i did use clay. I may try it off to restore a bird shaped candle over my grandpa's, since i have a candle of a similar color. A bird head may be simple enough for a rookie i guess❤

Now I wanna take up soap carving lol. It looks easy. Is it one of those things that looks easy but is actually very difficult? How long does it take to get he hang of it?
Soap carving isn't so difficult because soap is softer than other carving materials like wood ,stone and so on.
There are very difficult and delicate designs though.
I think it takes about 1 year to get hang of the basic soap carvings.😊
