If you are interested in the topic you suggested an interesting paper to check out could be: Bauer, R. H. (1977). Memory processes in children with learning disabilities: Evidence for deficient rehearsal. Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, 24(3), 415-430. There are other papers as well, that you might find in the reference section of the suggested paper. Hope this helps!
