    What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms;
    What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.
    Refrain:
    Leaning, leaning,
    Safe and secure from all alarms;
    Leaning, leaning,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.
    Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms;
    Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.
    What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms?
    I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.

    Another very musical well arranged piece by Eric Nelson. Carefully conducted and cordially brought out dynamically clean Choir sound, that truly does
    Lean on the Everlasting Arms.

    "MUSIC TO SOOTHE THE SAVAGE BREAST,. SOFTEN ROCKS, AND BEND THE KNOTTED OAK."
    William Congreve
    Nice to hear a version with all three stanzas
    and the refrains. (Adding a verse from "Amazing Grace" was a detraction for me, to a small extent.) An organist is shown in the lower right. He turns pages from the score before him, yet I never heard the organ! Was it even miked up? Even without that it should have been audible enough to have had its sounds picked up by a single microphone placed anywhere within range of the ensemble.

    Leaning on the Everlasting Arms....a joyful thought, yet this arrangement was depressing to me. Just my opinion....

      Google the story behind the inspiration for this hymn. It's rooted in depression and despair. Yet, this arrangement didn't depress me.
