I remember ISO back in his LR Central days as a kid, he would have the stands crowded to watch him. It was so remarkable. He was a great guy, quiet and friendly. You would often see him in his big body cruising through the city during his NBA prime. It was always Love when you seen him.
Yep, I thought the same thing with Reid, Bradley, and Hood. That 1999 team should have at least went to the elite eight or either Final Four. Remember that team beat a #1 or #2 Auburn tigers team with Chris Porter. Beat a topped ranked Kentucky team before beating Auburn in 1999 during the regular season. But yeah, Joe, Pargo, Dean, Gipson could have accomplished more. If Joe would have stayed one more year, I'm pretty much sure they would have been able to accomplish a lot.
@@shawnwomack3446 I agree with the 1996+ teams as well. Even with all the departures, there was enough talent to do better than they did. The Chris Jeffries departure probably cost Nolan a Sweet 16 (at least).
Bro when did he play the lakers in the playoffs, hawks never made it to the finals when he was there, neither the nets, or celtics. The Jazz and rockets never played the Lakers when he was there, neither did he play against the Lakers when he was on the suns lol, Literrally never played the lakers in the playoffs

I can tell his hero was Penny!
I saw a lot of Joe Johnson in Mason Jones this last year. Very similar game.
Celtics legend
Celtics gave up on him way too early. Literally traded him away for Rodney Rogers.
Damn I’m embarrassed I’m basketball historian and I never knew this man was a Celtic he played a full season with them ?
"He took about 4 steps" lol
Lol ikr he ain't no 5steps lol...announcer wanted to say dat b4 he even caught da ball lol
When the Lakers intentionally injured Johnson in the playoffs, I quit watching the NBA.
