Even if this game got incredible low scores, i still like it. It feels like im playing in the 90s again. Who cares if its not up to par with graphics like COD or Halo. Im having loads of laughs and fun playing DN: Forever rather than COD and Halo or any other popular FPS for that matter.
It honestly wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. But I say this as a leftist. Duke Nukem would not survive in the current climate and would come off as cringe to the more edgy but open minded types. A shame to be honest because I like Duke Nukem as a character quite a bit.
The load times, were never long for me. The game was well done, difficult boss battles and ruthless AI. The elements they used in Plot development were dated, but its not like the control was unresponsive.
I don't know I feel like they didn't know how to bring Duke into a modern age. DNF had its highs and it's lows but to be honest I don't understand how DNF turned out like it did when Bullet Storm is exactly what a modern Duke Nuke game could've been. I love the Nukem series. Its a huge staple of the shooter genre along with Wolfenstein, Quake, and Doom; sadly It didn't get a reboot that stuck like the others did. It's a shame.

this is the sort of music that should be on a "what's this music from" album...that's what i would love as a birthday or xmas gift...an album of soundtracks from games or movies with signature music and you have to know where their from....cause i'm tired of guessing regular music...its too easy

You really needed a helluva machine to avoid lengthy loading times. It takes about 10 seconds at maximum for a level to start up on my latest machine (Laptop). The loading times weren't really a problem for me but ha the loading screens still had cool music :)

I'm ESPECIALLY excited for any new titles in the franchise. Gearbox will be making it this time (DNF was just a last-minute patch-up job for them), so I'm expecting a large amount of polish.
While this game might be a huge disappointment to some gamers, it was otherwise a fun game besides the rigid driving physics and all, some jokes were funny, some weren't, but we all have our own tastes don't we? I'd give this game a 3/5, it's good, but it really didn't catch up with it's older brother.

I totally agree. Hes a legend, they could do different things for the character. They could make a Duke Nukem RPG if they wanted and its possible to make that bad ass too.
Miles Prower I kinda like that game, but Time to Kill was way better. I did appreciate the addition of supporting characters and a storyline in LoTB though.
@Zamudiokid i somewhat agree but the AI was only ruthless on come get some difficulty and the bosses werent that hard really only the giant octabrain and the underwater monster and the battlelord on the highway were hard still the gameplay wasnt as bad as critics say it is and the guns were awesome

@Zamudiokid I gotta admit the physics were terrible, especially for driving stages, on top of that the two weapons only thing and the health recharge just makes this game so stock. The game was also repetitive, the jokes weren't funny, and the graphics were pretty dated as well.

The loading screen isn't long at all for me on PC, but I tried the demo on Xbox 360... DAMN, that was painfully long.
