In this video, I am sharing the story of how I left Christianity/the Church and became a convert to Orthodox Judaism. This journey spanned several years, and wasn't always smooth, but I can say it was one of the most fulfilling things I ever did, and I have no regrets. :)

I am currently converting and I grew up a Christian as well and even worked in ministry. I never thought I'd find religion but Judaism isnt just religion, its culture; a way of being. And I like that. Then I found out my great great grandmother was jewish and it just all made sense.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Jesus (Yeshua) died on the cross, was buried, and ROSE on the 3rd day and DEFEATED DEATH so that none of us had to go to hell🙏🏽
Accept the FREE GIFT that of salvation before it is too late.
Religious works and “good works” alone cannot get you to heaven. God is holy and His word says “Without holiness no one will see the Lord”
You can claim to be “holy” but it is INWARD and OUTWARD holiness! Those who are deceived in thinking otherwise will fall short!

I found this very informative. My wife and I attended a messianic congregation for a number of years and I have to agree with your general feeling about it. Ultimately, my sense was that these people were more in love with converting Jews than loving the Jews themselves. I also feel that there is a space in this question of conversion that is generally overlooked which is simply that a non-Jew can enjoy the blessings of HaShem in being observant without actually becoming a Jew from a halachic position. I observe shabbat and attend a conservative shul without converting for a number of reasons mainly having to do with my age, having spent most of my life as a Christian and not wanting to cut myself off from grandchildren and other family. Ultimately, it is not about being a Christian or a Jew from a legal standpoint but one's relationship to God that matters.

I pray that you will see what we saw. That Jesus is Savior and Redeemer.. one with the Father and Holy Spirit. The *Bible is not a series of disconnected stories.* It is a *single narrative in which every story, every character* points beyond itself to *one who is greater.*
The story of Adam and Eve is not just about the first man and woman... *there is a true and better Adam* who passed the test in the garden and whose obedience is ascribed to us.
*There is a true and better Abel* who, though innocently slain, has blood that cries out, not for our condemnation, but for our acquittal.
*There is a true and better Abraham* who answered the call of God to leave all the comfortable and familiar and go out into the void to create a new people of God.
*There is a true and better Isaac,* the son of laughter, of grace, who was not just offered up by his father on the mount but was truly sacrificed for us all.
*There is a true and better Jacob* who wrestled and took the blow of justice we deserved, so we, like Jacob, only receive the wounds of grace that wake us up and discipline us.
*There is a true and better Joseph* who, at the right hand of the king, forgives those who betrayed and sold him and uses his new power to save them.
*There is a true and better Moses* who stands in the gap between the people and the Lord and who mediates a new covenant.
*There is a true and better Rock of Moses* who, struck with the rod of God’s justice, now gives us water in the desert.
*There is a true and better Job,* the truly innocent sufferer, who then intercedes for and saves his foolish friends.
*There is a true and better David* whose victory becomes his people’s victory, though they never lifted a stone to accomplish it themselves.
*There is a true and better Esther* who didn’t just risk losing an earthly palace but lost the ultimate heavenly one, who didn’t just risk his life, but gave his life to save his people.
*There is a true and better Jonah* who was cast out into the storm so that we could be brought in.
*There is a true and better Passover Lamb,* innocent, perfect, helpless, slain so the angel of death will pass over us. He’s the *true Temple,* the *true Prophet,* the *true High-Priest,* the *true King,* the *true Sacrifice,* the *true Lamb,* the *true Light,* and the *true Bread.*
The Bible is not a series of disconnected stories. It is a single narrative that points to one person... *Jesus.*
*JESUS IS GOD.. A plain prophet cannot fulfill all this prophecy. JESUS IS THE LORD AND SAVIOR.*
You are reading Torah/Tannah (OLD TESTAMENT) but you are hardening your heart to this truth. Why? Please have an open heart for the truth.

@@gilyashar My point was that there is another spiritual space available to people other than becoming a Jew or simply following the Noachide laws. A gentile can experience the spirit of God and the spiritual blessings of Shabbat, the wisdom of studying Torah and other benefits that Jews can also experience without converting This is something that was commonplace in the ancient world where many gentiles attended Jewish synagogues, were observant to a limited extent and were also accepted by the Jewish community. This is something that has been lost because of the separation of Christian and Jew that has developed over the centuries.

The only Prophecy Jesus might've been close to fulfill was the Prophecy of a humble man riding a donkey, but the problem is: Was Jesus HUMBLE!?
      (Matthew 11:29-30)
"29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
      (Matthew 12:1-8)
"At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
      3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day."
      (Matthew 12:38-42)
"38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here."
Well at least was he riding a donkey??
Depends on the Gospel, according to the Gospel of Matthew he wasn't:
      (Matthew 21:1-8)
"And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7 And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way."
Well maybe at least he fulfilled the following parts of the prophecy!? (Cuz you know.. every prophecy has a following part)
      (Zechariah 9:9-17)
"9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass." - A HUMBLE man riding A DONKEY (Aside of the poetic expression of two donkeys)
"10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
      12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids." - And BRINGS UNIVERSAL PEACE
I mean there's a lotta new testament verses in which JC clearly states that he came to bring wars and division between brothers and sisters, one hating his own wife and children - mother and father, and commanding his disciples (Through a parable) to 'Slaugther' all of his opposers, but that's quite the basis..

There is the ONLY TESTAMENT and NOT the old testament. But if you choose to be saved by a man, so be it for you.
Albeit is not sure that Jesus will embrace you by making him a God.He did not seek glory for himself.
You may have the surprize to be told:
Matthew 7:21. "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’@@Armuandist

“Some Jews regard Christianity’s claim to be a monotheistic religion with grave suspicion, both because of the doctrine of the trinity (how can three equal one?) and because of Christianity’s core belief that God took bodily form. . . . No Jew sensitive to Judaism’s own classical sources, however, can fault the theological model Christianity employs when it avows belief in a God who has an earthly body as well as a Holy Spirit and a heavenly manifestation, for that model, we have seen, is a perfectly Jewish one. A religion whose scripture contains the fluidity traditions [referring to God appearing in bodily form in the Tanakh], whose teachings emphasize the multiplicity of the shekhinah, and whose thinkers speak of the sephirot does not differ in its theological essentials from a religion that adores the triune God.”

      Be it known:
Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
I tell ye, truly, Jesus of Nazareth is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. He is the anointed one, for he is, Jesus Christ. God the Father has raised him from the dead; who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God! Angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by him. They who believe and are baptized with the Holy Spirit shall be saved; but they who believe not shall be damned. For they who believe not on him, shall die in their sins!
I tell ye now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!
They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God...
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:

I didn't know much of anything about Judaism when I was growing up and only really began to do any research and self-education on it when I found out that two of my best friends in high school were Jewish. Ever since then, I've felt such a strong magnetic pull towards and comfort in Judaism that I never found in Christianity or any other religion I learned about. I'm immensely glad now to have a nearby Jewish community in college where I can finally pursue conversion and further education. :)

Christianity is a big fraud and Evil, is why I left Christianity because of its nonsense and Idolatry, now I just follow the laws of G-d for gentiles.
In the new testament literature, Jesus goes upto the Fig tree expecting to eat Figs but the Fig tree doesn't have any Figs because it's not blooming season for the Fig tree, so Jesus kicks the tree and curses the Fig tree because it doesn't have figs, is this your G-d? - a G-d that doesn't even remember when he himself decreed that the Fig will give its fruit - is this who your counting on saving you.

Felt like you might be a good person to ask, as I've received mixed feedback. Our family has been taking a year (each) to experience different religions/denominations. We have no current affiliation or membership to any group, but are open to anything if we happen to find something that moves us or sparks a light within. We are moving onto year 2 (technically year 3 for me, but 2 as the whole family) and are wrapping up our time with the baptist denomination of Christianity. Our hopes were to move on to Judaism next year (2023) but when I asked about this on social media, one response I received was that Judaism is a "closed religion" and we would not be allowed to "window shop". Have you found that to be true? If that is true, I am wondering how people convert, because I assume they can't just walk blindly into a new religion without first experiencing it. Any thoughts on this? For what it's worth, we'd likely be heading for a reconstructionist or reform synagogue as those are the two closest to us (and honestly I am not sure how welcome we would be at an Orthodox synagogue based on social media comments mentioned above) Loving your content and your journey. May G-d be with you as you seek Him. I encourage you to learn Hebrew (all 7 of my kids learn Hebrew). @Rose-ip2xu Před rokem +1

I also agree with comments that say check out Chabad. Ask if you can attend a shabbat dinner and ask questions. The reason conversion is difficult is because you are not only joining a religion but a tribe, and learning the ins and outs of that history/culture/nation takes a long time. And it might not be for you! I had a friend 10 months into her conversion process when she decided to step away and reexamine her beliefs, which everyone respected. I am not familiar with the reconstructionist stream of Judaism and how it differs from reform/liberal. I will say that any conversion that takes less than a year probably isn't valid (I've heard of quicker conversions in Israel but this seems to be the general rule). Every obstacle has a purpose and the great purpose of our falls is to come to a realization that we got created and living by the will of G-d. Give up the controlling impulse no matter how positive it looks and accepting my reality.
Our main work on earth is the relationship with G-d, talk to G-d and ask to lead us to the best place, ask his active involvement in our life in a way that I clearly see where I should go. Taking action after such intimate pray is not the same as just running in the world with pride of knowledge. G-d is in everything and he talk to us through the situations, if the door I want to enter is getting open smoothly so it's where I should go, if things are oppose to me - Hashem is talking to me and tells me ''no''. G-d is leading and sometimes it feels like we are going on a wild goose chaise but it slowly feels like it’s coming together and is making more sense. I remember getting to the final class for Confirmation and I told the teacher, For me, it all comes down to your answer to one question ... do you believe in your heart that the only people in Heaven are Catholic? And he said, Yes. Such absolutism struck me as horrendously offensive to a loving God. To me, an enlightened person would have taken the position of Mother Theresa. My tendency for critical thinking coupled with a burning desire to seek for the Truth, no matter where it leads to, led me to start a lifelong quest. I've researched Science, Philosophy, Poetry, Art, Religion, Culture, Mysticism, History, Consciousness, Language, Psychedelics, Meditation and so on, for 15 years since I was 15 and until today when I'm 30 years old, literally half of my life. When I discovered the depth of the Torah, the divine instructions, when I discovered the Reality of God, everything changed, I was shocked. It took me a couple of years to understand. In Daniel 9:25, Daniel says when the Messiah will come. In Zechariah 9:9, He/Jesus came riding on a donkey, humble. In Genesis, it says, "Let US.." Jesus is God clothed in humanity. He has been seen all over the world by gentiles of different faiths. Many Iranians had visions, dreams, and visitations by Jesus; many converted to have a relationship with Him. There are Jewish people also discovering the richness of having a relationship with Him. In fact, just as God stated, His Chosen - the Jewish people will bless the nations. After watching Jonathan Cahn and Kirt Schneider a few years ago, I said the salvation prayers they led and God has done so much for me. During the middle of my sentences while praying in 2019, I confessed to God that I felt fear - instantly - He took it away! I witnessed a busy man in mind and body who changed into a peaceful man without use of drugs on the third day after praying for him. Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Jesus died as a lamb for my sins - the only perfect, blemish free lamb that could be substituted for my sins. He communicates with us in various ways. God is my Father, Lord, friend, counselor, provider, protector, and healer. Recently I've been noticing an increase of Jewish people coming to Jesus. A woman said she saw Him; she gave her testimony on So Be It.

When Abraham brought Isaac up to be sacrificed, it was his only son, since Ishmael and Hagar were banished.
He commanded Isaac to carry wood on his back up the mountain. When reaching the top, Isaac asked Abraham "where is the 'lamb' for the burnt offering?" And Abraham responded, "GOD Himself will provide the 'lamb' for the burnt offering".
At the point of offering his only son, through whom GOD would keep His covenant, the Angel of the LORD appeared and told Abraham to stop. There they found a 'Ram' with its horns tangled in thorns, or thicket. But why did GOD provide a Ram when Abraham said GOD would provide a 'lamb'?
Jesus was GOD's only begotten Son. He carried the wood of the cross up the mountain where GOD did indeed provide the sacrifice. Who was given a crown of thorns, like the ram in the thicket. Not a ram, but the spotless lamb. Sinless. Who died for the sins of all who would believe.

Thank you for the in-depth information. It is very helpful in my search for truth. I appreciate that you respond to so many comments when we know you are a very busy woman. I am curious if you had similar concerns to mine in your conversion journey? I have been exploring orthodox Judaism and I'm reading some of the classic conversion books that are recommended. I find myself connecting deeply with what I am learning. I am hoping there is a path back to God but I remain wary of radical religious thinking that is fear-based and crushes the human spirit. Here is why. I grew up a protestant Christian but searched through the denominations to find the "right way" to worship God until I found Catholicism which was filled with meaningful ritual and theologically deep so I converted. I ended up in a Traditional Latin sect of Catholicism which is beautiful on the surface but toxic underneath with it's heavy emphasis on personal sin and vicarious suffering for other's redemption. (I still have scars from kneeling on the church floor during 2-hour masses/services). 10 years later life came crashing down and I abandoned ALL faith in a God. This may sound like a very silly analogy but it's like a child having believed in Santa Claus who finds out he isn't real. There is no way to believe again because your eyes have been opened. Saying that I am skeptical of religion is an understatement. I "pray" there is a way back to a real relationship with God.

Little Bird, your comment is so touching, I feel for where you are at.
Spiritual journeys can definitely be winding and painful at times. May G-d give you strength. I'm happy to hear that you've been exploring Orthodox Judaism.
      For me, two of the ideas I learned during my own journey that had a profound effect, were that;
      a) G-d created the world out of sheer lovingkindness, and sustains it for the same reason. How can we not feel thankful and love back?
      b) G-d doesn't create people that he will then need to "save" (by killing Himself) or serve in any way. I can't accept a religion that teaches otherwise.
People are made to know and serve G-d, and our souls know this even if our brains don't. Our soul craves a connection to Him, the Source of All.
I hope you will keep going until you find your path. 🤗

The 7 Noachide Mitzvot have been given to all humanity. As B'nei Noach, we study Torah with observant Rabbis. Not all Torah portions apply to us.
The Ger is convert. All Mitzvot, including the 7, to be observed.
The b'nei Noach do not sanctify Shabbat, nor do we celebrate the Festivals.
Chabad is an excellent resource for the B'nei Noach.
Best wishes and welcome home !
Edit - "the Brit Shalom" by Rabbi Ouri Cherki is excellent guide for the Noachide.
Maimonides, too, but I'm not at that level, yet !!!

As a Christian myself that belongs to a messianic community... the Torah is for everyone. Look at Ruth as n example. There’s more but don’t want this to get to long. We keep the Torah that includes sabbath. Jesus never taught against the Torah. He preached from it.

Every Jew who has let him or herself be led or duped into believing that Jesus was the Jewish Messiah should watch this video. I commend you for having seeking the truth and finding it. Masionic Jews have thrown away a Hope Diamond for a common stone.

Also how is Zionism different to Judaism or is it not?

It was not MLK, it was Martin Luther, one of the founders of Protestant Christianity. Luther’s work included a treatise entitled The Jews & Their Lies. You can read about it here.

Let me make it clear, you DO NOT look like you converted for your boyfriend. Even before telling your story, you looked like you take Judaism very seriously.

I ask this as someone who has been interested in Judaism since childhood, had experience in a Jewish community and done some of my own research: Do you really think the dead are going to be resurrected? Are their Jewish folk (Reformed, Conservative etc) who do not take the Torah literally (like a boat with two of ALL earthly creatures etc)?
Also. Side note: Some of my family came from the Jewish folk who were forced to convert back in Spain .

    • @jayellealafi5797
      @jayellealafi5797  Před rokem

I don't have extensive knowledge about this, but yes, we do believe that in the Messianic era, the righteous who have died will be resurrected. It's not for me to say who will be included in this.

Jayelle, now I understand much better why my mother decided to convert from Protestant Christianity to Judaism. She never said much about it, only that she felt Christianity was hypocritical. Where she lived and the time she grew up, all churches were segregated and she found that to be contrary to the supposed ideals of the church. She also married a fairly secular Jewish man and raised Jewish children.
