Hello, I followed all the steps but it still doesn't work, I don't know if the update configuration is applied but when I tried again I got an error in updating, I need help with that problem :(
Didn't work for me. Still get the error although all went through as with you. This is a U.S. model using the 212 ink cartridges. Since I am in Germany, I have a hard time getting this cartridge and am trying to use the EU ink 603 cartridge. Any ideas, maybe a different firmware update? Tks.

I am trying to download the EPFWUPD.exe file, but I get popup stating Could not find files needed to start. I need help restoring my Epson back to factory settings and do not want to by their damn expensive ink. Can you please help me? I am stuck on what to do.
Sorry to hear that, but did you try to redownload it? Try disable antivirus or search online for old firmware then follow the same steps mentioned, let me know if still not working.
Very strange for me... I followed all the exact same instructions. Step by step, every button, each screen was the same, same model. However ink still showed as not compatible. Is this a 3rd party chipless firmware update by chance?
@@charliecabreros8158 Turns out it was the cartridge I think, I had ordered two packs and after much trial, decided to try a cartridge from the second order pack and it worked. Thanks!
Well done. Update the firmware as instructed worked. Epson should be ashamed of themselves. Faught this printer for hours before finding this fix.

Did you download the link I mentioned on the description? Try to download other firmware version online.
