  • The Soviet Union developed a self-propelled anti-tank gun in the 1940s to provide basic mobile anti-tank firepower for airborne troops, using a small internal combustion engine to power the gun's mobility. In the 1950s, a similar self-propelled anti-tank gun based on the D-44 85mm howitzer was developed, providing valuable mobility for airborne troops and conventional forces.

    1:54 3:43 I think those are pictures of a 2A45M Sprut-B. You can tell by the muzzle brake.

    Laughable - small arms could not penetrate to gun carriage but I bet they would do a number on the exposed crew as they were bunched together riding that thing.
