Like you said, games being lost forever may not be the largest issue in the world today, but it does affect people. It affects a part of history. Things that bring people innocent joy do matter, because joy is one of the things we need in this life.
The Crew was the first game released by Ivory Tower and paved the way for the rest of the studio up to today. It's tragic to see their work and history be discarded. With the current trends in the industry, it likely won't be the last.
As a buyer of The Crew, I decided not to purchase any Ubisoft games. It's criminal that Ubisoft shuts down The Crew 1. Also, when I posted a comment criticizing Namco on a Tekken video, the Tekken fandom harassed me. Namco deleted Old Tales from PSN. Even though Inomata sadly passed away. It's sad that there are people who are against Media Preservation.
There’s this game I used to play called ZombieSmash! (Spelled exactly like that) it was a tower defense game where you could use your finger to swipe away zombies. It was one of the most quality mobile games at the time and stopped receiving updates for some reason and was no longer supported by around iOS 3. It was Apple only. It got a spinoff after the success of the original which was basically a fruit ninja clone, this game was also shut down. Do you think there is any way of recovering these games?
Online game and that got killed because it's neglected because isn't successful as new one
Such a sad stuff that happen, like The Crew
