thanks for the review hard racing! and all the videos for the grom! they are great and very helpful!
Excellent.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Almost a year now with my honda grom and i still love it 😍
That is what we like to hear. ;-)
Damen Van Vliet :
yes, we have over 1000 miles and no issues with the BBK.
Customers we have sold to, have combined 250,000 miles, and no issues.
It's a great BBK .
What does BBK stand for? I see this a lot for bore kit and engines.
@@cubul32 (B)ig (B)ore (K)it
Great job guys. with narration and a ton full of information. I can't believe how high of a performance you can get on this bike. The big bore kit sells me on this bike now knowing i can do highway speeds with in reason.
flyingtigre1 Agreed 100%
Once you have a Grom that does 85 MPH , it's so much better.
And Still gets 80-85 mpg.
flyingtigre1 LOL... we are in NC.
Unfortunately, no idea what's available or where in LA.
Just got to google Honda Dealers, and call around til you find one that isn't trying to ream the customer.
AWESOME video!!! Thank you. Have one question though. Why don't you have a oil cooler?
i love that gear shift on the speeding meter ;] do you have a video for that i wann put that on my bike ?
+alfredo cipres Yes indeed.
It's part of our Video Collection:

store.hardracing.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=29928&category_id=2680
Very nice mods indeed!
Why didn't you do a mild stretch kit to lengthen the wheelbase? I figured that'd be more stable at speed?
You should have done a list on the description with brand and maybe some links if you got them from a online dealer
HardRacing can you make a new top speed video of it?
Can the Power Commander/Wide Band be used to override the throttle dead zone a lot of FI bikes come with now? My CB125F is very jerky because of the on/off throttle, it's caused me to lose traction in turns as the throttle just kicks in out of nowhere.
Upgrades should cost more than what bike cost. Cool bike
Where can we find the inspection plug covers?
man... what's up with all the foreplay and no action? is there a vid where you at least start it up?
Did you end up doing a video for the stator upgrade?
I haven't been able to find it ever
Thanks
Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to make one yet.
Just too many projects took precedent.
Plus everyone who bought one from Ricky Stator said it's very straight forward and easy install.
would you think this is a good bike for beginner? this past year a buddy and I have been riding mini bikes here and there (doing dumb 22 year old guy stuff) and after the winter (Minnesota) I've been really wanting too upgrade and try a real motorcycle rather than a Briggs or chainsaw motor on a kids bike frame.
Hi great video, seriously!
What websites are good for purchasing mods? Based in Australia! Cheers
Stefano Cioni, We ship all over the world, including AU.
We have many customers from Australia.
I bought one grom from a friend and the high beam lights dont cut off i need help how to fix it
I just noticed the NC tag. What area?
how much wgt did you shave off it? Gr8 video and mods!
MODERN HOMEGROWN
Thanks. Yea, we saved around 30 lbs of weight after all was said and done.
I wonder what the Ricky's stator will do for it... with a full 13.8volt and enough power to run everything properly. Would it make more power with everything running as it should..?? I read somewhere that installer should/must dial in correct voltage with a calibration screw. {counter-clock-wise to increase voltage} . Same author claimed his Ricky Stator maxed out at 14v.
need to do an update video on this bad mother
Does the yoshi head pipe come with the sensor bung in it or you had that put in ?
Aaron Hughey
Unfortunately, it does not.
Most local welders can do it for about $20-$25
This bike is really nice.
+snowboardman420
Thank you very much for the kind words.
If you only had $1,000 for upgrades, what would spend it on to boost performance. What's basically essential for only $1000. Love the bike and thanks for the great videos
Jimmy J
So many options to choose. That's a tough one.
What we started out with in the beginning really worked great for us.
Yoshimura RS9 Full System , PCV, WBC2, Chimera and 14t Front.
That put us at 72 mph.
See here>> czcams.com/video/9lR5r5xOf0s/video.html

would you think this is a good bike for beginner? this past year a buddy and I have been riding mini bikes here and there (doing dumb 22 year old guy stuff) and after the winter (Minnesota) I've been really wanting too upgrade and try a real motorcycle other than a Briggs on a small frame
+Anthony McDonald
Definetly, a great bike to start out on.
And probably never get bored of.
We've got guys who have Groms and 1000cc bikes, and still love to ride the Grom.
put a megura hydraulic clutch on it, its a beast!
What mirrors are those exactly? I'm looking for something exactly like that can that go above the bars on the side.
Driven D-Axis Mirrors.
We have a complete video and review on our you tube channel link above.
Curious how much money total. 300.00 dollars per extra MPH?
Good looking Grom. Did you purchase the extended warranty with it?
We did not.
Hey guys! Wow! Thats a lot of upgrading there, lol! So i have a question about my 2018 grom if you don't mind? I've recently put a k&n filter, Hindel full exhaust and a power commander V. My question is about how to get it running nice and smooth again using the power commander v, it all a foreign language to me and i feel lost on how to tune it properly. Any suggestions for my set up? I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!
We'd highly recommend watching our PCV Grom Video for more details on how to properly tune it, and how it all works. It should clear everything up.
HardRacing Thanks man, I'll try to watch it again and see if it makes more sense the second time around. Im just not sure what value of numbers to put on the charts. The numbers that are on there towards the end of the rpm's are between -17 and -10. Do i increase the number to add more fuel or more air?
awesome job. how much did you spend on extras total, above the 3000+ base price...
Easily $4000 not including labor.
Don't ask. ;-)
What's your mpg with that 183cc big bore kit? I really really really want one of those now!!!!!! Haven't looked at aftermarket grom parts in a good 5 months and that kit really caught my eyes!!!
Went from 100 mpg Stock... to about 80-85 mpg with the Finbro 183cc BBK.
Not too bad, considering it more then doubled the HP. ;-)
yeah i really want one of those kits now!!! i'll have to save up. so be sure to keep some in stock ;-) hehe. ill sure ill need new front and rear sprockets too huh? which would you recommend? hopefully something that i wont need a longer chain for.
1ceCold037 16 / 32 highly recommended.
That's what we use, along with 100 + of our other customers.
Hi. Once you installed the big bore kit, is it a 'set and forget' installation? Or do you need to tune / adjust regularly?
*****
We provide custom map with the PCV and WBC2, which will get you pretty close.
But, it's still takes some tuning.
Once you get it tuned............ it's set and forget.
And by tuned........ we mean...... letting the WBC2(Autotune) do it's thing, and then APPLYING the Changes to the map.
Not really much the owner has to do.
what are the red trumpet looking things on the axle nuts?
They are called Driven Endurance Cups. They are made to quickly pull the axle out with one hand.
Where can I get front Indicators like that?
LazyRacing
On our website.www.hardracing.com/13-14%20Bikes/14%20GROM.htm
How much is all this together, couldn't you buy 2 Grom's for the price of this one with so much done to it? It a cool bike, nice character and sweet upgrades.
+Kenney Madsen
Yea, it's a lot.
We went all out on this bike....... to show case all the cool things you can do to it.
wer can I order a bike like this?
How big is you big bore kit and have you blown the engine or had piston problems? I heard big bore kits tend to blow engines or damage piston rings
LOL...
It's a 183cc BBK. we have sold over 50 of these kits, with approx. 30,000 customer miles on them....... and no "Blown engines " ;-)
Some companies make lesser quality BBK.
We don't carry those lesser brands.
We ONLY Sell Takegawa and FINBRO.
With the harder clutch springs,is the lever harder to pull?
Yes, that is correct.
It will be a slightly harder pull with stiffer springs installed.
I'm curious, since the 183cc high compression puts a lot more stress on the bottom end, how many miles do you think the engine will last? I wanna get one, but if I have to rebuild the engine every 10-20k , then Im not sure it's worth it
Just depends on how you take care of the motor.
We've got over 500 + customers with approx. 1,000,000 miles combined and no real issues reported.
a few of them have over 8000-10,000 miles and still running strong.
As long as you don't raise the rev limit, there should be no reason it wouldn't last a long long time.
What should I do with a Grom if I wanna install a free exhaust and himera airtake? Do I need to modificate computer?
You can install a PowerCommander V if you like.
But, there are plenty of customers running just the exhaust and Chimera intake with no problems.
Were did you purchase headlight
We sell that in our store.
Where can I get that shift indicator ?
+jose52788
everything is available here:

+Dylan Bellens
Oh gosh... don't want to know. ;-)
Nice job man ! Looks Awsome
+Dylan Bellens
Thankyou.
were can I order one like these?
+Nykkel Sebastian
Everything we offer can be ordered from our website:

Oh nvm on how big lol but have you had problems with it and how long have you had it on?
NONE at all.
It's a great bike. Super dependable. And loads of Fun.
How easy is it to get parts for 2015 grom if you live in hawaii
Aloha Francis.
It's Not hard at all.
We actually have a good amount of Customers who live in Hawaii.
We ship there all the time.
+HardRacing oh ok thaanks a lot hopefully can get a grom 2015 soon ill be seeking more advice from you later mahalo!
whats the exact name of the ohlins upside down front forks?
Those are OEM Forks........ with Ohlins Fork Kit internals.
gaming g33k Definitely.
Well, 1,000,000 miles combined doesn't really tell me anything about longevity, since I don't know how many bikes there are in this assessment. It does tell me about overall quality of the parts, but I'm worried about spending the money, and it not lasting as long as the oem engine. I know it's hard to gauge how long an engine will last, but 8-10k miles isn't a really a milestone. I mean I ride my bike that many miles per year.
where can I buy headlight

Ladies and Gentlemen: The $10,000 Grom!
I can think of worse things on which to spend your money.
This is very True.
+Aaron Fink Is it only the mods sir or with the bike?
Ctr_ ls I don't know as it isn't my bike. I was only speculating the cost of the bike and all of the mods would be triple the cost of a stock Grom.
$10K min. Closer to $14-15K Grom.
You think someone 270 can ride one of these stock?
machyne82 Oh yea.
We have many customers from 270-325 that ride it all the time.
You will probably want to get some HD Springs for it at some point.
do all the performance upgrades affect fuel economy and if so how much?
+Rythmik
We still get 85-88 mpg.
You did not start the bike after the bigbore kit
We have all that and more in our other Videos.
Why no clutch cover and oil cooler?
LOL, because they did not exist in Nov. 2014 :-)
@@HardRacingPerformanc 😂 I should have known that, otherwise u guys would have automatically installed them
top speed with all mods?
Cruises interstate at 70-75 with only 50-60 % Throttle.
Top is around 85-88 MPH
no cooler???? wow
msx good
bore to a 183
I wouldn’t ride mine at night Bc people don’t pay attention
Agreed. That's why we put on the SUPER BRIGHT DOUBLE ROW LED LIGHT BAR HEADLIGHTS.
Makes the bike a lot more visible at night, and of course illuminates the road a lot better as well.
HardRacing anything that can be added for safety is always a good thing. I just don’t personally ride at night. I don’t trust other drivers. I wear high biz and almost get hit. When are you going to lower and maybe stretch the bike? I want to do big bore , what do you need . Just a big bore kit? I would think other parts would need to be upgraded but I don’t know enough about this bike
LOL.. sorry. Stretch and Slam is not our thing. ;-) But, a BBK is for a sure a good idea.
