- It was May 17, 1974, when Wendy Burke’s life changed forever. She was just one year old when, with her mother Colette due to give birth in two days, was killed in the Dublin-Monaghan bombings, as they walked up Talbot Street on the way back from the maternity hospital. 50 years on, Wendy and other survivors are still looking for justice and answers.
