Carter died at her home in Plains, Georgia, on Sunday with her family by her side, the Carter Center said. Beautiful lady inside and out
I can't imagine the grief he's suffering through.
He has said more than once that she was the important thing/ person in his life. Not being president. Not becoming gov of GA. Not being a naval officer. Marrying her was way more important than any of those other things.
It's not long before He will hold Her in His loving arms again!
And there NOTHING will separate them anymore!

They were an amazing couple that purposed to do good in this world. With 77 years of marriage, not many people are blessed to be together as long. It's a lifetime!!

May she rest in peace; a wonderful humanitarian but I fear for him now. His tribute to her was a great description of both of them, I think. They were two of the very best people who really served their fellow man. And it was apparently a wonderful 77 years for them. They don't make them like this couple anymore.

The Carters represented the American family in The White House. Stories of Amy and her friends using beer to wash their hair in at a slumber party stuck with me as I was in high school then. The world is a better place because they were in it. God bless and comfort Jimmy they were married over 77 years!
